About: To comfort any animal brings comfort to myself. I have experience with all kinds of pets and love all animals but cats are what you’d find in my home. It’s a common misconception that cats don’t require much attention but as a domesticated animal they thrive on human companionship while also having many natural instincts to accommodate. Some require more attention than others depending on their personality. One of the most important instincts to satisfy is the need to hunt/play. There are some automatic or interactive toys that work well but for the most part the best toy is something on the end of a string attached to a wand/rod and their human’s participation. This way you can mimic the evasive movements of an actual prey for your cat to hunt. This provides exercise and stimulation and I would be happy to play with your cat(s) I’m very good at befriending anxious or less trusting cats and identifying the things that exacerbate their anxiety and finding solutions to comfort them. I also have experience administering medications. With a cat the easiest route of administration is a liquid solution mixed in with some wet food or treat or squirted into the back side of the mouth with an oral syringe. Giving a cat a pill can be more difficult but it can be done. I would wrap them in a towel or blanket, lubricate pill so it doesn’t stick to fingers or tongue, tilt head back and insert pill into back of the mouth, return head to level position and rub their throat and/or slightly blow on the nose to stimulate swallowing reflexes, then give them a treat and love them! When possible I scoop our 3 cats’ boxes after every use. I’m happy to clean and scoop your cat’s box(es) with the same vigilance. A clean litter box is one factor in ensuring a healthy and happy cat!

I’m currently working Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm, I get an hour lunch from 11:00 to 12:00pm so I could check on animals during lunch and then of course be with them at all times outside of this work schedule, I’m off Saturday and Sunday. I will be offering all services except for boarding in my own home because present circumstances prevent me from doing so. If I sit for you in your home I will treat it with the utmost respect and abide by any and all guidelines you provide including cleaning up after any pet incident, bathing, playtime, etc.

Not to be left unattended in the yard since it is made from garden fencing, and small dogs unable to climb fencing is preferred. Fence climbing dogs should not come here because there is a fast road adjacent to the slower road that I live on. When I leave to run errands I will sequester my cats in another room from the dogs. I go with the flow, and understand every animal will behave differently so please let me know if your baby has any special needs or habits!

I currently own 2 dogs (1 aussie and 1 recently rescued great pyreneese) , 2 cats, 4 horses and 2 reptiles of my own. I currently walk my own dogs a mile or two every other day, with them being walked on the property every 4 hours for exercise. I live on 8 acres with woods so plenty of room for dogs to run around and play. I currently do not have a fenced in yard, but have multiple tether setups and/or long line leashes to walk dogs on and let them roam a bit while controlled. My 2 dogs are males who are friendly with others and love to play outside in the backyard. Since I am home during the day, all animals get lots of cuddles in my house (allowed on furniture) and constant interaction of bones, toys, tug of war, toys etc. I do have separate areas that dogs can be crated in alone if preferred. I do also have 2 cats that are dog friendly but have their own room they can be closed off in if needed.
