“Savannah is amazing! I asked to watch Ophelia 3 hours before I had to go to work and she got back to me within an hour and let me bring Ophelia over even though it was last minute! Not only is she flexible and reliable but she took beautiful care of my pup. Despite Ophelia’s excitement to see me she still was clearly very fond of Savannah and wanted to say goodbye. I think I’d be doing my own dog a disservice to not allow her back to Savannah’s house. THANK YOU SO MUCH, SAVANNAH! Ophelia and I are so happy to have met you. :)”

“What a wonderful idea to have your dog vacationing at Kelsey’s home while visiting Topeka area! Dyson had a wonderful time and is now tired at our campsite. He had two dog girlfriends to run around the fenced yard with and access to the comfort of the house when it was time to chill. Thank you Kelsey and family!”

“I was a little skeptical about boarding, only because I’ve never done it before. Colter and his pup made my dog, Pilot, feel comfortable. Pilot was able to play with another dog, which he seemed to really enjoy. He was exhausted after his stay, as he’s a little older than the other dog. He was definitely well cared for during his stay. I would book with Colter again.”

“Lauren really loves animals and it shows. I’ve never met anyone so kind and caring with their pets. This is the best pet sitting experience I’ve ever had by far and my dog seemed really happy. I’ll be using Lauren exclusively from now on. Thank you so much Lauren 🩷”

“Nathalia is amazing! My only fear is my dog wants to stay at her house 😊 Nathalia allows for great play time outside that is safe—she has a fenced in backyard and long leashes if there’s more than one dog, yay! Indoors my pup is always playing with a bone, toy, other dog or contently napping. I get plenty of updates throughout the day and it’s just so awesome to know she is being well-cared for. Lula gets so much attention and love I never have worry, it’s been so great. And she comes home tired and content, hard to do with my high-energy girl!! I highly recommend 💕🐾”

About: I grew up on the family farm surrounded by dogs and cats and all kinds of animals - caring for them was part of my life. That lifelong connection led me to volunteer at a local dog and cat shelter where I've gained even more experience with pets of all temperaments and needs. I treat every animal like family and I willl give your pet loving care whether it's for a quick walk or an overnight stay. I have a very flexible schedule so I can fully prioritize pet care. My days naturally revolve around the animals I am caring for and I enjoy creating routine that suits their needs. My home, farm in the woods, is calm and pet friendly space where animals can relax, go for walks or play. In client's home, I'm respectful of their space and routines, I communicate with the owner, send updates and make sure the pet has all my attention.

About: I'm especially good with timid animals, and I love making them feel more at ease. I have a soft presence and a lot of patience. I'm good at reading dog language. I'm super responsible, so you can count on me to follow your dog's preferred daily schedule and to send you updates. I work from home, in a neighborhood that's pleasant for dog walking, and we have a fenced backyard. I grew up with small dogs, wanted to be a vet. I've cared for my current doggo for 9 years. I work from home, and my time AWAY from home is flexible. I can definitely be here as your dog is getting used to our home. About your dog's experience in our home: My home office is on the main floor, and I'm aware of all activity in my small-ish house. Your dog can rest on the sofa, futon, rugs, or the big dog bed--or in a kennel if they prefer. I have a fenced yard with room to run. Our friendly 10-year-old, 35-pound boxer mutt, Kiri, enjoys playing with small dogs. But she's not at all pushy. :-) About caring for timid animals: I had a deep, deep bond with a very timid cat, and I just have a super soft spot in my heart for them. I had a shy young kiddo. One of my "day jobs" is a coach for introverted people: I help people honor their introversion, including their need for quiet, calm, and solitude. About my profile photos: I'm the one in the family who takes the photos, so it's nearly impossible to find a photo of ME and Kiri. :-} I include some photos of our house and yard (kids' faces blurred) to give you a sense of our space. Kiri is part of our family. She hangs out in the common spaces with us, and in the backyard. We take her to the dog park or on daily neighborhood walks. The first 3 photos are at dog parks. The rest of the photos show our house and yard.

“Lindsay was very attentive to our sweet Millie dog. She sent pictures to us throughout the day and kept us informed of how it was going. We loved how Lindsay wanted Millie to be comfortable. Definitely will use Lindsay and Rover.com again.”

About: I have an immense love for animals and treat my own as if they were my children, giving them endless care, respect, and affection. Their happiness and well-being are my top priorities, and I go above and beyond to ensure they feel safe, loved, and understood. This deep connection extends to every pet I care for, making me an exceptional pet sitter. I am patient, responsible, and attuned to each animal’s unique needs, whether it’s playtime, special diets, or just providing comfort. My dedication and genuine passion for animals make me someone pet owners can trust completely. I am always at home. I do work from home. But that is a few hours per day and my schedule can be adjusted to the needs of any animal. I have a lead setup but all dogs will be taken on multiple walks a day. During bed time they would be with me unless requested by owner to be crated.

“Marilyn was so kind and generous with taking care of our puppy Obi. He looked like he had an amazing time and I enjoyed seeing how happy he was from the pictures and videos she sent. Would recommend and am happy I found someone who I can trust with my puppy.”

“Brandin really interacted well with Manwich, he was very knowledgeable about dogs, a good sized yard, and enough toys for every dog to have several to pick from and/or play with. Plus, he is an all around nice person.”

About: Hello! I am a stay at home mom to a 1.5 year old little girl and I am looking to make some extra cash for our family. I've owned dogs since I was a little girl. I have had two labs, one Boston terrier, one pug, and one chihuahua. My husband and I have two dogs of our own, a Mini Australian Shepard and a Lab/Dachshund mix. I love all animals and will dedicate my time to taking care of, having fun, and being a companion to them. I have always been a dog person, but have also owned a cat in the past. Therefore, I would love to care for both! My friends and family would describe me as a caring person with a big heart. I am very easygoing and down to Earth. I love caring for animals and children. If you choose me as a sitter or walker, you would not be disappointed! I am looking forward to meeting with you! Krystal Becker :) I have a very flexible schedule as I am a stay at home mom to a 1.5 year old, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet(s)! I live in a very safe, family-friendly neighborhood in Topeka with a fenced-in backyard. I am willing to travel up to 15 miles if needed to provide care!

“Morgan was amazing on super short notice! I was in a pinch looking for a last-minute sitter and Morgan responded almost immediately & helped me navigate using Rover for the first time. She sent several photos of Buttercup and it's clear that she worked hard to ensure Buttercup was comfortable throughout her whole stay. Pickup and drop-off was easy and convenient/close to downtown. Highly recommend!”

About: Located on 10 acres in rural Hoyt, Kansas, Hughes & Hounds provides a spacious safe haven for your furry family members. Our set-up, previously used for dog breeding, includes two (working on three) spacious backyard pens that are the full package deal, including: big shade trees, big water bowls, a doggie igloo and free doggie treats (if you approve of course!). For a small additional fee, you may request a small dog pool in your dog's pen for the duration of their stay, for those hot summer months. Please note that our dog daycare and boarding services are OUTDOOR ONLY and really for farm/outside dogs, bigger dogs, or dogs with high energy. We will accept any sized dog as long as they’re used to staying outside during the day! With two young kids in the home, we will only bring your dogs inside if the owner provides a crate and only if requested for night time (with the exception of severe weather where they would be crated indoors as well). Our schedules are unique in that we are home most days, aside from running errands, and will be able to check on your furry pals often during their week & weekend stays with us. We are flexible and want to make sure your wishes are heard. So if you want us to play with your dogs, send you pictures, give treats - we are here for it. But if your dog prefers to not be bothered too much and is good with the essentials - we are here for that too. You tell us how we can provide the most comfortable atmosphere for your dogs. As far as experience goes, I've been a dog sitter on and off from elementary school through college and have volunteered lots of hours to our local shelter.... I love dogs and they're in good hands! :) This is a NEW and fun business adventure for our small family and we do not take it lightly! Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions-we will respond promptly. I stay at home with my kids and my husband's schedule allows him to be home more days than not so we feel confident that we can take good care of your dog(s) while they stay here. Since we have the space we thought "why not?" when it came to the idea of dog boarding. We were not using our back 3 pens, other than allowing our dogs to roam them. There were some escape artists when the pens were originally used for breeding, so safety features include covered corners so dogs are unable to climb up and out using the corner fencing. Cement was also laid around the boundaries of the pens so digging cannot occur. If your dog likes to jump fences that would be a concern and a reason why we may not be a good fit for you. Of course, plenty of cold, fresh water will always be available to your dog(s) during their stay.
