“Angelina is absolutely wonderful as a person and dog sitter. Our Border Collie is very active and Angelina played fetch with Roy, fed him , walked him and took him to the beach for a swim. She is a very happy and fun woman. We will hire her again and again!!!”

About: Walks through Armstrong Redwoods are a favorite activity. I have a large yard and a dog friendly house. I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I was a volunteer and puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence back in the mid to late 1980's, and a Puppy Petter for Assistance Dog Institute in the early 2000's. I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! I have Sundays and Mondays off from my full time job, but I can fit in a nice walk after 4 pm most other days. When I have someone's dog, they get my full attention; we play, exercise, snuggle. My focus is providing an enriching experience for your dog .
“My pug LOVES spending time at Lauren and Ben’s house playing with all the dogs or just lounging on the floor. When we arrive, he tugs hard on his leash to get inside. It’s wonderful to know that when he’s away from home, he’s safe and happy in their care.”

About: I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs through having our own family dog and looking after other people’s pets. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and providing plenty of love and attention. I’ve cared for dogs with different personalities and understand the importance of being patient, attentive, and adapting to each dog’s individual needs. My priority is always making sure every pup feels safe, happy, and comfortable in my care. Hi there! I know that dogs are so much more than pets-they’re family. After losing our beloved family dog, we experienced firsthand just how much love, joy, and happiness a furry companion brings into a home. While no dog could ever replace the special place ours holds in our hearts, we still have so much love to give, and caring for other dogs has become a beautiful way to share that love. I’m based in Santa Rosa and work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide companionship, attention, and personalized care throughout the day. Whether your pup enjoys walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with someone nearby, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved. There’s something so special about seeing the happiness dogs bring into our home. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Your dog may be visiting us for just a little while, but they’ll be welcomed with all the love and warmth of family. My children share my love for dogs, and while they enjoy having furry visitors around, I personally handle all pet care and responsibilities. Any interactions with my children are always supervised by me. I also offer morning and evening and weekend drop-in visits.
“Melissa was incredible with our 5 month old puppy, Rocky! It was our first time leaving Rocky and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable with Melissa. She is very communicative, understands dogs very well, and helped train our pup. I look forward to booking again with Melissa in the future!”

“My pup absolutely loves spending the day with Chris and her dog, he gets so excited every time we pull up to the house. Chris is very flexible, provides lots of updates, and is a pleasure to work with”

“We were so grateful that Brittany was able to board Ralphie for an afternoon and evening on a very last minute request. She has the sweetest most playful and loving dog, Monkey, who made Ralphie feel welcome and loved in her space the moment he walked in. We brought Ralphie home exhausted and happy. We will definitely be contacting Brittany again!”

“Prior to day care, we had a meet and greet at the local park, and I knew right away this would be a good match for us. I completely trusted her with Luke’s care. Luke had a fun and active day with Lindsey and her Golden, Hawk. They took a couple long walks and played in the park. Lindsey has a nice calm demeanor which is perfect for my energetic boy. She sent photos and a full report on how Luke spent his day. I would highly recommend Lindsey.”

“Larissa was receptive and flexible with timing, which made everything so easy. She was attentive and caring, and it was clear Chilli was comfortable and happy in her care. Thank you so much for all your help - we truly appreciate it!”

About: I’ve had pets in my life since childhood, growing up on a farm with dogs, cats, and horses. Caring for pets is second nature to me. Since moving to the U. S. 20 years ago, I’ve looked after friends and neighbors’ dogs, including diabetic and senior pups that need extra love and attention. I treat every dog like family, with patience, kindness, and genuine care. I’m a UCLA nursing student currently doing clinical hours only three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexible time throughout the day. That means I’m able to give your pet lots of attention, playtime, and long walks. Whether it’s daily check-ins or longer stays, I can easily fit pet care into my schedule and make sure your pup feels loved and cared for. In your home, I follow your pet’s routine so they stay comfortable and stress-free. In my home, I have a fenced yard and a beautiful neighborhood for walks. I also stick closely to their usual schedule. No matter the place, your pet gets consistent, loving care.
“Ellen was such a great sitter! I needed a Rover sitter last minute and she was able to help. She is very kind and communicative and I immediately felt comfortable leaving Grayson with her. She provided photo updates and reassured me he was fitting in well with her pups! I’ll definitely be a repeat customer! (Oh and she sent Grayson home with a stash of really good treats which he promptly reminded me of when we got home - thanks, Ellen!)”
About: Hi pet parents! If you’re looking for someone who will treat your animals like absolute royalty while you’re away, I’m your girl. Growing up around animals, my love for them runs deep—seriously, I love all kinds of animals. But what really sets me apart is a mix of high energy and endless patience. I'm naturally super active, so if you have a high-energy dog who needs long walks, a solid jog, or endless playtime to burn off zoomies, I’m your person. At the same time, I have tons of patience. Whether your pet is an anxious rescue, a senior who needs a slower pace, or just a little stubborn, I always keep my cool and meet them right where they are. When you book with me, you get a sitter who is reliable, detail-oriented, and obsessed with making your pets happy. Expect plenty of photo updates and total peace of mind while you're out! I’m currently working part time and at home! I’m fully working on my own schedule which makes watching pets a breeze! Can’t wait to meet your pets! My house is three stories with a patio. I live right next to multiple parks. We have a very lively pet loving community with tons of supervision and pet cameras for the house.

About: I’ve loved animals since I was young and have been around dogs my whole life. I’ve had my own dog, Simba, since March 2021, and he’s very much part of my family. I genuinely enjoy having dogs around and getting to know their different personalities. I’m home full-time, so I’m able to give pets a lot of attention and company throughout the day. I enjoy going on walks, playing, hanging out, and just having a dog around while I go about my day. I’m also someone who pays attention to the little details and will make sure your pet’s normal routine is followed. I know leaving your dog with someone else requires trust. I’ll treat your pet with the same care and patience I’d want someone to give Simba. I’m happy to send updates and photos while you’re away, and I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, affection, and care. I’d love to meet your pup and hopefully become someone they’re excited to see! I work from home full-time, so I have a flexible schedule and am around the house throughout the day. I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, take them for walks, and keep them company rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I already have a regular routine with my own dog, Simba, and I’m happy to adjust my schedule to fit each pet’s individual needs and routine. I’ll be caring for pets in my home, where I have a fenced yard that gives dogs a safe place to get outside, play, and explore. I’m home full-time, so pets will have plenty of supervision and company throughout the day. I’ve had my own dog, Simba, since 2021 and have been around dogs my whole life. I’m very attentive to their behavior and individual needs, and I’m careful about things like doors, gates, food, and making sure they’re comfortable in a new environment. My goal is for your dog to feel like they’re staying with a friend rather than being somewhere unfamiliar. I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible and keep you updated with photos and messages so you know they’re happy and doing well.
About: I have been a nurse for 22 years. I am in school again and at home with my 17 lb dog all the time. I have cared for dogs my whole life and taken care of my friends dogs while they travel for as along as I can remember. I have a large fenced in back yard and a dog door. I am easily able to handle medication and medications schedules. My dog loves to play with other dogs and I am hoping to find regulars who would like frequent care so she can have her friends over! I am in school full time via an online program so I am home a tremendous amount. There will be a few days a week that I go into a clinic for 8 hours but most days and nights I am home. We go on nightly walks as well. There is a large fenced yard and in general the back door is open and my dog goes in and out as she wishes! I am very flexible!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Vacation Beach
Veronica and her husband were so caring and kind; my pups immediately felt very comfortable with them (in fact they seemed to hardly notice that I was leaving : D). Veronica's communication is stellar, and her warmth and love for dogs was immediately evident. It was a wonderful experience for Kiko, Butters, and me as their human. Highly recommend - would rebook without hesitation!

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
