With over forty years of experience with animals and as a reputable Trainer for an Assistance Dog organization, i have a strong background with animals and can provide a safe and fun environment. My home is a canine paradise! It's quiet and serene with plenty of shade, a fully fenced yard, and a private dirt road that meanders through the countryside right out our back door, - perfect for walks for the dogs. There ia a resident Labrador retrievers named "Heart" and a Bernese Mountaing Dog named "Stormy" They are great ambassadors and love to host furry friends. I can also offer training, baths/grooming just ask if you think you would like this. We look forward to your dogs vacay with us. Animal owners are some of the best people I have known and I love meeting new friends, human and furry alike. I care for the dogs as if they were my own and I hope that you will allow us the honor to care for you animals(s). I am currently working from home. I leave the house on occasion but can either take your dog with me for a car ride if they like that, leave your dog home or if you would prefer, crate it for a short time. I am never gone long when dogs are n my care. I treat all dogs as if they are my own and follow the instructions of the owners on what to do to make them comfortable while in my home.
“Veronica was fantastic! It literally looked like my pup was smiling in all of the update photos she sent me. She was so good about keeping in contact throughout the day. I’ll definitely reach out to her again in the future ?”

I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! My focus is providing an enriching experience for your dog .

About: I love animals. I’m compassionate, caring, dependable, honest and sincere. I’ve been around dogs all of my life. I’m a mom of two boys, a caregiver and I also have two dogs of my own. Before starting a family, I volunteered at local animal shelters and worked at the Marin Humane Society for almost a year as an animal care technician. Also, my older son is studying to become a vet tech and has a lot of personal experience with dogs and cats himself.I believe that pets are an integral part of the family and should be treated as such. You can count on me to provide the best service for your pet. Have a “ pawsitively” wonderful day! I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! I work as a direct support professional for a group home for disabled women in Windsor. I have a split shift schedule, and have Fridays and Sundays off. It’s only about a ten minute commute to work across town. I also volunteer at an animal sanctuary once a week. I have extensive experience with animals. I have a fenced yard and a one level home. I no longer have two small dogs of my own, a Jack Russel/chihuahua mix and a shitzu/maltese/bichon mix +, one passed away in October and the other in January of this year from old age. I treat each pet I care for as if they were my own. With love , compassion, patience and attention to detail and safety.
“Allyse hosted my dog for doggy day care since she panics when left alone. Itza had good company while I was at work, Allyse took great care of her, providing lunch, potty breaks, and sun bathing time in their fully gated yard. Itza will be back, I highly recommend Allyse!”

About: I have co existed with dogs my entire life, and began dog walking and dog sitting regularly nearly 10 years ago. I also have spent numerous years working for a local dog boarding facility. I currently work remotely which gives me free time to hang with your dog at the 10 acre ranch I live on. I prefer to dog sit in my own space but can be flexible if the timing is right. I am most interested in doggy daycare dog and house sitting as a side hobby. *while housesitting dogs & owners must be comfortable that I bring my own dog with me. he is a well socialized friendly 8 yr old cattle dog. I work remotely Sunday though Wednesday 3pm to 11pm. This schedule alows me to be flexible with dog sitting and doggy daycare during the week. I am available outside those hours for dog walking. I provide safe, loving care on my fenced ranch for boarding or in clients’ homes, offering exercise, attention, and a stress-free environment for every pet
“Bernadette was wonderful with my rescue puppy Isabel!! It was her first time being left with someone, and I felt calm and confident knowing she was in Bernadette’s care. Bernadette clearly knows so much about animals and was very kind, understanding, and knowledgeable about Isabel’s communication and needs. I highly recommend Bernadette!!”

About: I’ve spent over ten years caring for dogs and cats of all ages from playful puppies and kittens to wise seniors. I work as a shepherd and look after sheep, goats and dogs, which has helped me stay calm, attentive and aware of behavior, safety, and fun. I’m trained in safe handling, bite prevention, and canine behavior and I rely on positive reinforcement to support pets. I take the responsibility of caring for your furry family seriously, making sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved while in my care. Animals are part of my everyday life. I make sure pets get attention, walks, playtime, and companionship on a regular schedule so they’re happy and healthy. I prioritize safety and comfort in every home. Pets are supervised, loved, and cared for with positive reinforcement so they feel secure and relaxed while you’re away.
About: I will spoil your dog with attention and provide you with complete peace of mind. You can rest assured that your dog is safe and happy and getting the care you specify (such as health needs or special diet) and the love your dog wants (games, walks, toys, treats, hugs, and other canine amusements). My work is part-time, online, and at my own pace, so I can easily shift my attention to your dog's needs for walks and playtime. I have a small fenced yard with artificial grass, and there is a large park at the end of the street, two or three small parks in the neighborhood, and a 2-mile trail to downtown. I have whatever a dog needs but ideally, pets should arrive with their own favorite "furniture," toys, and treats.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 258 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Guernewood Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Guernewood Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 258 sitters in Guernewood Park, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
