“Roman and Justine looked after our Kate for a day. They are very nice and flexible and all the steps were very easy with them. They were clear in their communications and provided frequent updates and photos. It was a pleasure working with them and we gladly recommend them.”

“My Bo-Bo was well taken care of. I was assured he was in good hands. Sean is a great communicator and was flexible when my flight was delayed. He sent pictures and texts on how well Bo was doing. Definitely will use Sean again!”

“I was very impressed with Kimi's management of her pet boarding structure & care. She puts an Air-tag on the pets she is watching to ensure their safety. She was also careful to introduce her pets one at a time to assure that each pet was able to interact with my dog safely. Lastly, she has a separate room for any animals that are boarding with her . This gives the pet(s) a place away from her pets if they are uncomfortable or need time to themselves . I had concerns that my dog may have difficulty boarding somewhere other than our home because this was only the third time in almost 10 years that she has been boarded. Her last experience was extremely unsuccessful, to say the least, when boarded at a local veterinary hospital. Kimi sent me pictures a couple times a day and was very open to letting me text her with any questions or concerns that I had. I was extremely pleased with the way my dog felt comfortable interacting and being around her two dogs and two cats. My dog is the soul pet in our household, so this was a new experience for her. I highly recommend Kimi to anyone who is looking for a pet caretaker. Ellen L.”

“Sara was amazing! This was our first time leaving Koda with a sitter, and Sara made the whole process stress-free. The updates/photos were reassuring and allowed us to feel at ease knowing Koda was well taken cared of and having a great time. We highly recommend her!”

“Haley, Was really great with my boy Sherlock. I was very happy with her professionalism and attention to care for my Sherlock. As well as the updates easing my mind that he was in good hands. Thank you Haley”

“Woody stayed 6 days with Nicole and her family. They allow your pet to be part of their family, with plenty of love, care in feeding and especially outdoors time on their own and with other dogs they get along with. He came home happy and tired…thank you!”

“Emily was awesome! She kept me updated daily with pictures and text messages. I felt very comfortable with leaving my dog while on vacation with Emily. I'm very pleased and will use her for the future.”

“Tara was great with Trapper. She was super flexible and easy to work with and sent several pics so we knew he was having fun and being well taken care of. We weren’t sure if he’d be ok playing with her dogs, but they were super sweet and immediately accepted him as part of the group. He had a blast while we were away.”

“Tracy was wonderful! She kept me updated with texts, pictures and videos while we were away. Our dog had a great time in her care. We trust her and will definitely book with her again!”

“Debbie was very kind and attentive to our Australian Shepard, Theo. Theo was returned to us super happy and healthy. I was sent daily pictures and updates, which was amazing. Thank you again Debbie!!”

“Karissa was great and we always feel comfortable leaving our pups in loving and capable hands. She will continue to be our #1 option for boarding Theo and Lucy when we have to go out of town!”

About: I have been a dog owner my entire life, and caring for dogs has always been a big part of my family. I currently have a dog of my own and understand firsthand how important it is to know that your pup is safe, comfortable, and loved when you can’t be with them. I have experience boarding my own dogs, so I understand what helps dogs feel happy and at ease while they’re away from their families. I know that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and individual needs. My experience includes providing daily care and attention, administering medications, bathing and basic grooming, and making sure dogs are comfortable, happy, and well cared for throughout their stay. When your dog stays with me, my goal is for them to feel like they’re staying with family, not just being boarded. I'll give them plenty of love, attention, and care while keeping them safe and comfortable in my home. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I work from home, which means there is almost always someone here to give your dog attention and care throughout the day. Our days naturally include regular potty breaks, meals, playtime, walks, cuddles, and plenty of companionship. I am able to keep a close eye on the dogs staying with me and give them the individual attention they need, rather than leaving them alone for long stretches of time. I understand that dogs thrive on routine, so I do my best to maintain their normal feeding, medication, exercise, and rest schedules while they are with me. I also make time for plenty of love and one-on-one attention throughout the day. Because pet care is part of my everyday life, I am excited to welcome dogs into my home and make caring for them a natural part of my routine. My goal is for every pup to feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while they are staying with me. I want every dog who stays with me to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I have a fully fenced-in yard where pups can enjoy outdoor time, play, and potty breaks in a secure environment. Inside my home, I believe dogs should be able to relax in whatever way makes them most comfortable. My couches are welcome to dogs who enjoy lounging and being close to people, and I provide crates for dogs who are crate trained and feel most secure having their own familiar space. I also have a separate room available for dogs who need some quiet time or prefer to have a break from the activity of the household. I understand that some dogs love being in the middle of everything, while others need a little space to decompress, and I am happy to accommodate both. Most importantly, I take the time to get to know each dog's personality, routine, and individual needs. Whether your pup wants to play in the yard, curl up on the couch, relax in their crate, or have some peaceful alone time, I will do my best to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable throughout their stay.

“Landon and Addie were great with our dog, Clover! Drop off and pick up were quick and easy and he kept us updated on how she was doing and sent photos throughout her stay. We have already recommended them to local friends and will definitely use them again in the future!”
“Summer was great -- so reliable and responsive! We were visiting relatives for a football game at Clemson and we had our dog in tow. Summer watched our dog for the whole afternoon and was very understanding about the late evening pick up, given how long night football games can go. Summer sent photos and took great care of our guy, and he seemed really comfortable with her. Definitely would recommend her!”

About: I've been caring for animals of all types my entire life and I know how much of an important part they play in your family. I've had lots of pet sitting jobs in the past and now I'm looking to turn my passion for animals into a side business. You can rest easy and be assured on your trip or vacation that "fido" will be safe and sound in a loving environment whether it be yours or mine. I have over 20+ years of experience with animals of all sorts ranging from newborn babies to geriatric animals. I know the importance of having your four legged family taken care of while you're away and so let me help you with all your pet care needs so you can enjoy your trip or vacation worry free!

About: Your pet’s comfort is my priority, I have over 20 years experience owning and caring for pets. I bring a reliable, structured approach to pet care. I have hands‑on experience with training and reinforcing good habits through consistency and positive engagement. I am able to recognize signs of stress. So to the greatest extent possible, I will follow established feeding, walking, and bedtime routines to keep pets grounded while you’re away. I’m confident with younger pets who like to test boundaries giving them the opportunity to make good choices. I'm patient and attentive with senior pets, including those who need slower pacing or extra reassurance, and I’m able to administer medications safely per directions. I treat every animal like they're my family, giving them the same structure and affection they’re used to at home. I work full time from home which allows me to provide attentive and consistent care. Although I work from home and my schedule is relatively flexible, I maintain standard office hours and have client calls throughout the day. Morning or lunchtime drop-offs and pick-ups are preferred if possible. Mornings between 730am and 9am and mid-day between 12pm-1pm are best. if afternoon drop offs/pick-ups are required, my schedule generally allows for that between 4pm-5pm. I take classes approximately four days a week so am generally unavailable for drop‑offs and pick‑ups between 5:30pm - 8:30pm due to the scheduled class times. However, with enough advanced notice I may be able to accommodate your need. if you have questions or a unique situation, please reach out. We truly love your pets like our own and would love for them to come stay with us. Welcome to our home—where pets are family and comfort comes first. My spouse and I recently moved to the Anderson county area and are still in the process of getting settled. I have always had pets in my life. I love their companionship, affection, loyalty, good nature, and adventurous spirit. I provide a loving home where your pets are treated like family. I live in a single‑family home with a fenced yard. I work from home, giving me a flexible schedule for attentive and consistent care. Our household is slower‑paced, making it an ideal environment for senior dogs and small to medium companions who enjoy a calm, cozy routine. Consistent structure and routine are critical for our pets to relax and enjoy themselves. I understand this and am committed to maintaining routines that you have established for your companion. We love to field trip and go hike state parks and gentle trails on the weekends. Everyone's time is limited on this spinning space-rock so we think it's important to give them all the love we can while we're here and to allow them to make their own memories; to enjoy new experiences and new environments. I share my home with my wife (who arguably loves pets more than I do ;), a friendly and sociable 4-year-old female beagle/lab mix 30lbs and one senior female domestic short hair cat. So it’s important that your pet is comfortable with and gets along with other animals. However, if your animal requires some level of isolation due to medical reasons, I have the space to accommodate. For everyone's safety and comfort there are a few things that need to be in place. I only take one client at a time. With that, I insist we have an initial meet and greet. So that the first time your loved one meets me is not in a strange or stressful environment. This makes sure we all (pets included) have a chance to meet and make sure we mesh. Unfortunately, I cannot accept unneutered males or females in heat. all pets must be current on vaccines and be on flea prevention—experience has taught me that prevention is far easier than eradication. Although my schedule is flexible, I maintain standard office hours so have client calls throughout the day. Morning or lunch time drop offs and pick-ups are preferred if possible. Mornings between 730am and 9am and mid-day between 12pm-1pm are best. if afternoon drop offs/pick-ups are required, my schedule generally allows for that between 4pm-5pm. “I am very nervous with who I leave my Rocky with, but after meeting Sonya and Anthony and all their furry friends I knew Rocky was going to be left in great hands. They had spacious room and area for all their dogs to run and Rocky was so tired from playing when he got back he slept all day Sunday! Sonya was also amazing on sending me updates on Rocky the entire time I was away and kept me in the loop which I was most worried about. Rocky was so happy to be with them and doesn’t like most people but warmed up to them very easily. 1000/10 definitely recommend and would rebook!!”

“Rick and Angela were absolutely wonderful with our Shih Tzu, Spike, while we were at Disney World. From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing Spike was in such loving and capable hands. They sent daily photos and updates, which meant so much to us and truly helped us enjoy our trip without worry. When a snowstorm hit, they were incredibly flexible and went above and beyond to make sure Spike was safe, comfortable, and well cared for. It was clear that Spike wasn’t just being “watched” — he was genuinely loved and spoiled. The extra cuddles, attention, and care they gave him made all the difference. We came home to a very happy fur baby! We are beyond grateful to Rick and Angela and would not hesitate to book them again. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable sitters.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Utica home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Utica.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Utica sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
