“I can't say enough good/positive about Melissa. She recently house/cat sat for us for 10 days. Her daily (sometimes 2 🥰) updates with pics were so comforting while we were away (and even with a 9 hour tike difference). Our cats (3 total) are very spoiled & are used to us being home all the time. It was comforting jnowing that she spent most of her time here with them vs other pet siters that just come long enough to feed and leave. We have one cat that is extremely shy/scared of everyone except us & Melissa demonstrated that she understands animals & how best to interact with our sweet but shy girl. She left the house in pristine condition. Laundered the towels & bedding & even remade the bed. Absolutely appreciated! I have a lot (a lot) of houseplants and had my garden veggie plants started & in my grow tent and she took exceptional care of them all. “Patricia is a dogs best friend and she honestly cares for them as if they are her very own. We hired her for 5 days and she was as more than amazing, and exceeded anything we could imagine. Seriously worth every dollar and honestly worth her weight in gold. So good at communicating and went above and beyond always seeing our dogs were taken real good care of. I mean it when I say we already miss her and wish she was a neighbor. I feel as if not only my 10yr old and 2yr old dogs have a friend, but that we have become friends too and I look forward to the next time we get to see her. Best sitter we could ever have found. About: I have owned and taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Most recently, I brought home the cutest beagle girl named Mimi during the pandemic, during which I potty and crate trained her, socialized her with other dogs, taught her lots of tricks, and became best friends! Although I have no formal experience as a dog walker or sitter, I have successfully boarded many of my friends and family’s pets - I am the designated pet sitter! I currently work a remote, part-time job from 9am-12pm every day. During that time, I am not available to walk any doggos, but I can step away for a quick potty break if I’m boarding them. Otherwise, I am available in the mornings before 8:30 and afternoons after 12:30 for walks, play dates, or drop in potty breaks! While I do not have a yard, I live in a very friendly neighborhood perfect for walks. About: I adore all breeds and sizes. I've cared for a dog most every year of my life, whether I was a student, working, vacationing, or just existing. Those years have trained me to read them well as far as knowing what they are communicating at any given time. I find it difficult to be without a furry friend. However, I'm retired and thinking of traveling in the future, so thought this Rover program would give me my "dog fix" until I'm ready to start my traveling. I've had babies, adults, and teens when it comes to dogs, and many varieties; Border Collies, German Shepherds, Irish Setters, Poodles, Golden Retrievers, Old English Sheepdogs, Terriers, and have trained and loved them all! I'm retired but do go to a recreational center daily to work out and swim, so I'm available for dog sitting, playing, and walking M-F after 1PM. And weekends after noon. I have a fenced yard partly in sun and partly in shade. I also have a dog door from inside the house out to the yard, so your dog can go outside anytime the urge hits. I'm also within 1 mile of 3 parks and the Finch Arboretum.
About: I have had a dog ever since I can remember and I am 69 yrs old. I have TIME and am reliable, because I am retired. I made sure my kids grew up with a dog and now they have my grand dogs which I love to babysit. I lost my last dog (he was 14) in 2018 and I knew I was going to retire (and travel) in 2021 so now I have my grand dogs and all my friends dogs to babysit and get my fix. I also have volunteered for Rescue4All rescue since I retired. I have a medium sized doggie door out to a wonderful patio and yard fully fenced with 6 ft high vinyl fence. I love dogs so much. They are just the most loving, gentle, and FUN animals put on this earth. I am a walker, so all dogs that stay at my house get walked everyday, with a ton of love and affection. I am going to start Rover on Jan. 2026!!!! I am retired, so I would love to walk your dogs during the day for you. (I am a daily walker anyway :) so why not?) If they stay with me, my home is perfect with a fenced yard, medium sized doggie door (but I do love and will have larger dogs too) and they will get a lot of love and attention. While I prefer crate trained dogs, it does not mean they would be in their crate during the day unless you say it is needed if I leave the house. If not crate trained I would be okay if they are a very well trained dog :) My home is just me, so dogs will get that one on one attention. I am retired so I can accommodate any feeding/walking schedules that are needed.

About: I have owned many pets throughout my childhood. To say what kind of experience I have would take more than 125 words because each pet has their own personality and style and I adapt to exactly what your pets need and want. If they want cuddles, they get cuddles. If they want space, they get space. I’m home almost all day so they will get all the attention they ever want(or the space they need). I aim to make them happy! Non smoke home with a big spacious living room to play or rest in. I’ve been dog walking/pet sitting since I was a teen and miss doing that. I love hiking and anything outdoorsy so I’m always up for being outside as well. If you have any questions please reach out! I’m a stay at home mom so I’ll be able to easily take your pup out on walks and quick potty breaks. We don’t have a fenced yard but have a shared yard out in the back as well as a park nearby. I walk them right before I would leave to run any errands and usually don’t take long. I follow the instructions provided so that its not stressful for the pup as well as the pet owner. I send updates on how the pup is doing and what we’re up to. We go out on walks a lot. If it’s okay with the owner than I take the pup out on a shorter hike with my daughter. I make sure to grab water too! At home we see what kind of personality the pup has because some aren’t as active and would rather cuddle while others like to play play play.

About: I have owned lots of animals in my 30 years of life and currently have one very special 9yo mutt who is my world. I have experience with medical issues and am comfortable giving medications and caring for ill, injured or aging animals. I am also an avid walker! I adore kitties and am not bothered by the spicy ones. I had several cats growing up and have lived with or sat many more as an adult. My schedule is a bit random right now, but I have some flexibility that I'm hoping to maintain and will typically have the same schedule every week. I can't have dogs in my home since my dog doesn't always get along with others. He does great with cats, though, and has lived with 4 without issue. So I'm happy to host a cat as long as the cat is alright with dogs! My dog is very wary of cats and mostly just ignores them. I have multiple rooms in my apartment and would separate them when I'm away just as a precaution. I am happy to do home visits and have reliable transportation for such, but I would prefer not to do overnight stays so that my dog isn't alone :)

“Samantha was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations. I had an emergency and she was able to take my 3 Basset Hounds within a couple of hours. They stayed with her for a week. My dogs were welcomed with open arms and treated exactly how they are at home- even getting to sleep in bed with her and snuggle time on the couch. She always responded to my messages within minutes, and sent me several updates, pictures, and videos of my babies every day. She also made sure to ask questions about habits, personalities, medications, feeding, etc. I was so scared to drop them off, but Samantha quickly eased my anxiety, making sure I knew they were okay and adjusting well. I cant recommend her enough. Ellie is hard to win over and within a couple of days I find out that she is following Samantha all over the house. A very impressive feat. She will be my first contact should I need to board my babies again. Thank you, Samantha for making a stressful situation the easiest it could have been, and for taking such good care of my girls.”
