During the week I have a handful of regular clients that occupy my time typically from 10 am to 2 pm. My weekends are mostly free and I am home every evening unless house sitting - in that case, my husband is home every evening from 6 pm to 7:30 am. I am always 30 minutes or less from my home and even during house sitting stays, I am coming home to check in on and provide company to my own two pups. They're never alone for more than four hours. Currently, my family is growing, and my house sits will be on a temporary hiatus as my husband and I adjust to having a tiny human in the house. My home has a moderate size yard that is fully fenced. I also have a doggy door that leads to the backyard for full access when someone is home. As I have cats and small caged critters, I do prefer boarding stays to be crate trained. My own dogs are crate trained and absolutely love their "box." It is their safe space for when life or other dogs becoming too overwhelming. In my experience, I have found that bringing your dog's crate (along with some beds and blankets) helps your dog have their own safe space to relax or retreat to when needed. It also keeps everyone safe while I am out tending to regular walking clients. When house sitting I try my best to keep to your dog's typical routine. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Crate when leaving, or close bedroom doors. Walks around the neighborhood or play in the backyard. Not allowed on furniture, sleeping in bed with you, etc. Please let me know what your furry friend is accustomed to! Please keep in mind that I will not be able to stay in your home 24/7 as I have regular clients during the week that I need to walk. I will be able to stay in your home through the entire night with regular afternoon potty breaks.
About: I have been taking care of dogs almost every week on the weekends along with sitting for my neighborhood dogs, cats, birds and guinea pigs while they are on vacation or away from their home. I am comfortable feeding dogs, interacting with them and I love to give lots of love. I am familiar with giving medication’s to dogs if needed. Your animal will be in good hands as I will love them as my own. Whatever an owner needs for them and their dogs to be well cared for, I can accommodate. I work from home, so the dog will always be accompanied with me. we’ll have plenty of playtime, outside time and potty breaks. I provide at least 2 walks a day and several Potty breaks from 7 am up until 10 Pm. I have a fenced yard where they can play as they like and they can hang out inside as well. About: Hello! I grew up taking care of mostly dogs in my house until finally was able to get my own dog 6 years ago. I've experienced other people who love animals but I feel like I have a connection to dogs that beats out others, I can read a dogs vibe and match it pretty well. Currently take care of 2 mid-large sized dogs and 3 cats. Love it all! Also love taking pictures of dogs so I’ll make sure to get some model shots :) I recently got out of the Navy after 8 yrs and I am currently not working so I have all day to play with pets. About: Growing up, I’ve always had pets, and my first childhood pet was a cat named Blackie. Later, we added another cat, Oreo, to the family. Around the same time, we welcomed Tank, our German Shepherd/Shar-Pei mix, who became my loyal companion from elementary school through high school. I took care of Tank every day, and he was so sweet and gentle that he even helped people overcome their fear of dogs. When Blackie and Oreo passed, we brought two more cats, Dickie and Roxy, into our family. Over time, Dickie disappeared, and I got another cat, Marley, who had a litter of kittens. We kept one and named her Gracie. Shortly after having her kittens, Marley passed away. Later, I got another cat, Buddy, who eventually ran away. Now, as an adult, I’ve continued my love for pets with my two current cats, Dayz May and Willow, who I care for alongside my boyfriend, a fellow animal lover (especially when it comes to cats). Though my journey with cats has been lifelong, I’ve always had a deep love for dogs. Tank will always hold a special place in my heart, and I jump at any chance to care for dogs, like my aunt’s and mom’s pets. They bring so much happiness to me!!!l Life is just better with them in it to enjoy with us. Remember ***(Available for last minute/odd schedule requests.)*** Fur babies run the roost! I usually take them out every half hour just for exercise or fun as well as potty breaks (which is a good way to break bad marking habits for ones training). If it's a nice day usually we are outside all day playing and walking teaching the ones who are still in need of guided assistance. Which actually makes things way easier on me. Unless of course it's just to hot to be out side. Rainy days are our lazy days or indoor activity days. Lots of cuddles and loves. My personal fur babies are not kenneled but I do have kennels for ones who prefer it. It's whatever makes them happiest. Or feel the safest. I'm a pretty good judge of character when it comes to fur babies. We read one another very well. Which in turn makes us more comfy with one another. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with one ever.i know when to back off or come in for loves. Mutal respect is the best policy I feel.
About: I love spending time with dogs of all kinds. My family dog passed away of old age (13 years) last year so I love the thought of spending time with other people’s dogs and giving them love when their families can’t be there. I currently have a golden doodle named Loki (2 years old) who lives with my friend and have taught him to sit, shake, lay down, and whisper bark! I am currently a graduate student studying speech language pathology at the University of Washington. All funds that I make through Rover go towards paying my tuition. I can dog sit anytime that is available on my calendar :) I make sure to provide lots of pictures and updates for the parents. In case anything is out of the ordinary, I always make sure to have vet information before the families leave.
