Ruth was the one did the sit, staying overnight and working from the house during the day. When she came to drop off the key, Roo came running into to the room to say hello, followed soon by Zoe so Ruth and cats had obviously connected (Leo is more independent, so his absence is not an indicator). Ruth accommodated a somewhat complicated sit. Roo, who was just joining the family, was in the living room apart from the other two cats. This meant working during the day while hanging out with Roo and also hanging out with the other cats in the evening and sleeping with them. She dealt with a number of dead rats, courtesy of lethal Leo who often does nightly neighborhood hunts. Ruth also sent pics and let us know what was going on (e.g. racoon in the yard) Everything was clean and tidy on return. Would definitely work with Ruth and Rachid again.”

About: I grew up with 3 cats, 2 dogs, chickens and two ducks. I’d say that I can do just about anything at this point with the experience I’ve had with animals! I’m excited to spend time with some new friends 🫶🏻 I work a full time job already but I’m looking for something on the side without getting another full job! I think it’d be great to get into a set routine with a couple different families! EDIT: currently home in Bentonville, AR for May and would love to walk/pet sit around my hometown! I intend to really love on these animals. I think in a lot of ways this side gig will help me feel fulfilled and hopefully keep me from getting another pet too soon. I lost my childhood pup earlier this year and I’d love the chance to pour into another animal.

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I grew up in a small mountain town with lots of dogs and lots of land! My favorite thing as a child was taking my dogs on walks or runs in the mountains. Since moving to Seattle I have primarily only dog sat/dog walked for friends, family, and coworkers and am now looking to expand and open myself up to the vast network of Seattle dogs! Griz can get a little nervous on walks, and she even reached out for tips on how to help him feel more comfortable, which just shows how much she genuinely cares. She took him to the dog park multiple times over the long weekend, and i really appreciate her being flexible with pickup and drop‑off as my schedule changed and I hit traffic on the way back.
