“This was our first time using Rover, so we were pretty nervous to leave our little 9 month old precious puppy with someone we didn't know. After looking at quite a few sitters, Michelle and Brian just felt right! As soon as we met them, we knew we had the right people! Our puppy, Oakley, was immediately comfortable and feeling right at home. There were absolutely no hesitations, this was the place! They were so nice to send pictures along the way that showed how much fun Oakley was having with their puppy and how relaxed he was. It was very comforting to know he was in such good hands. We are thrilled to know the next time we go out of town, Oakley will have his own vacation. I know he can hardly wait to play with his new best friend! Do not hesitate. Michelle and Brian are perfect puppy sitters!”

About: As a pet owner I know the pain of trying to find someone who will care for your beloved pet the way you would while away. I know how hard it can be to find care for pets with regular exercise needs. I am not a professional kennel or dog training. I am a dog mom who will love your pets like they are my own and ensure they have all their needs taken care of while they are in my home. I’ve been around pets for most of my life. My family had pets growing up, and as an adult I’ve pet sit for family and friends for over 20 years. I finally became a pet parent myself in 2022 to a mixed breed cattle dog named Teddy Bear. It was love at first sight, despite our rough start due to issues from him being labeled as a lab mix. I’ve learned from experience that breed matters when it comes to ensuring your dog’s physical as well as emotional needs are properly met. We delt with behavior issues, as well as anxiety, and food issues as Teddy moved through his “teens”. I hired a private trainer only weeks after adopting Teddy, and to this day we still participate in a variety of group training classes through most of the year. Teddy is excellent at Nose work/Scent work and loves the mental stimulation. These training lessons have taught me a lot about patience when working with dogs as well as how to work with dogs on their own level and through their style of communication. Teddy passed the Canine Good Citizen Test at only 9 months old! My motto is you are always training. I use the skills learned in the years of lessons whenever I am around dogs and it’s made me quite popular at the dog parks. My dog goes to hunt bunnies, and I go to pet all the dogs that seem naturally to be drawn to me. I only accept the dogs from 1 home at a time. Your pets will be a part of my family as long as they are under my roof. My life revolves around my dog. Teddy is a fairly high energy dog and this means lots of physical and mental stimulation is required. So we walk everyday rain, shine, or even snow! Unless the weather isn’t safe to be outside, we walk. If your dog isn’t as high energy, that is ok. We typically go places your dog can rest and enjoy the smells while Teddy gets his energy out. I have a hybrid work schedule and generally am in the office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 12-5pm. My schedule is flexible though so if I know I have to be gone in the evening, I change up my days in the office so I can be home with my dog during the day. I feed the dogs 2x per day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. I have a large fully fenced backyard, and a dog door so the pups can freely roam between inside and out. It’s a bit of a dogs paradise with lots of birds and squirrels roaming about for them to keep tabs on. I do have a medium-large sized crate for dogs that need to be crated. And feed everyone in separate spaces. The couch under my living room window is now permanently the “dogs couch”. Teddy is very good at sharing his toys and beds. There is an overabundance of dog beds throughout my house. My house used to be clean, but then I got a dog. The house now belongs to Teddy and I just live here among his beds and toys. Teddy is great with dogs of all sizes and most temperaments. I describe him as aloof but friendly. He can be playful in spirts if other dogs initiate, and while he loves being around other dogs, is very independent. The only exceptions to his easy-going persona are aggressive dogs, or dogs that have a higher than usual tendency to resource guard. For this reason I cannot except non neutered males as pretty much every instance of aggression we have come across was with a non neutered male. Regardless of size. My neighbors on 2 sides do have dogs as well. So your dogs would meet them through the fence. We have 4 legged friends over on a regular basis, and the neighbor dogs generally love greeting the new friends so long as they are not aggressive. I do allow dogs on my bed as long as I'm not sleeping. My experience has been dogs tend to lay exactly where my legs need to be. So, I usually kick them off just before turning off the lights to allow myself use of my own bed. But if your dog is happy to stay on the other side of the bed without trying to take over my side, they can stay.
“This was the second time Yun-Chun and Ao-Chang took care of my dog Chef when I was out of town for a week+. No problems at all, Chef seemed to have a great time again. Would highly recommend!”

I grew up with a bull mastiff named belle and took care of her even in her older age and I currently have 2 golden retrievers who are around 6 years old but I helped take care of them when they were puppies as well. I feel comfortable helping senior dogs with any medicine, help moving, or anything else they may need and I'm super comfortable and patient with puppies! I also have 2 cats and have also been around cats since I was a baby and love taking care of them as well! I love playing and being around big dogs but small is great too! :) I am currently a high school senior but I do online classes through running start so I am pretty much home all day and I go away for practice later in the day but I honestly have a pretty open and free schedule during the week! Since I have a flexible schedule with school I am able to stay for a while if your animal needs extra attention or company! I feel very comfortable and confident taking care of dogs since I have always been around them growing up. “Logan was awesome! She walked and fed our dogs (and a couple other animals) while we were away for a few days. She was very communicative, reliable thoughtful and trustworthy with our home and pets, with instructions, locking up, etc. We have two dogs that pull a lot when walking so not a job for just anyone. Our dogs were well taken care of while we were away and well adjusted to all back to normal when we came back. I would recommend and use again.”

“Natalia was an absolutely amazing person who was always willing to walk our dog and hang out with our cats. Our schedule constantly changed and Natalia was always willing to help out and adjust. Natalia moved recently and our location is now too far. A bummer because we lost such a valuable member to our pets lives!”

“Sheena did so well with my two kiddos! Sterling can be a bit of a handful--he has anxiety and special needs (and is a bit of a grumpy old man). I can tell that she followed the most important directions I gave her based on his condition when I picked them up, I am very grateful. 🙂”

“Isabella and Gui were the best hosts! Bobo truly had his own vacation in form of dog parks and couch snuggles. Your pup would be lucky to be cared by them!”

“This is the second time I’ve boarded my cat Curtis with Nathan and his family and I cannot recommend them enough! They are so thoughtful and always send me the cutest pictures. Thank you!”

“Yen is a fantastic sitter. We are so glad to have given her a try. She is very experienced in handling dogs. Our puppy, Bailey, stayed with her for 2 nights. He had an amazing time playing with Yen’s dog, Mojo - they get along really well! Yen is also good in communication. Throughout the day she sent updates of Bailey’s activities from having breakfast, playing with new dogs that stayed with her, etc. I received lots of great photos and videos of my puppy with his new friends. Thanks so much, Yen!”

“Qintian was awesome! We were worried about the traffic to the airport in the morning after dropping off our pets so she allowed us to drop them off the night before. She was super accommodating and kind! We received lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay and we would be happy to bring our pets back here.”

“Wonderful man! My dog loved him and had a great time. I was nervous leaving my dog with a rover sitter, but Philip kept me updated and sent me pics. I felt at peace knowing Stitch was with someone who truly cared about him.”

“Darlayna was fantastic with our pup Wiley! Super engaged and communicative, sent lots of photos throughout, and she clearly loves the dogs she cares for. Wiley is slow to adjust to a new place but she worked to help him settle in, and he loved all his walks (and his husky pal, Paris!)”

“Our new pup sitter! She was so good to my nervous dog, Teddi was so comfortable with her family. I could tell she had a good time! Candra was very communicative throughout our trip and we never felt worried. Her space is perfect and we would definitely have Teddi go back another time.”

“Rachel took care of Cai while we had to go out of country. I was super anxious as this was an international trip but she took care of Cai as her own and I could complete my trip with ease of mind. She and her pup Bruce is awesome and I could see Cai had so much fun. Rachel was also super good at providing daily updates and I would definitely leave Cai with her in future.”

“Joann took great care of my pup, making sure she felt at home and comfortable. She knows each dog’s individual needs and temperament and makes sure they’re all happy campers. She was patient working with my pup through learning curves in a new environment. Got a lot of updates during our trip, I will definitely be coming back!!”

“Daisy LOVES going to Aina's house, and that's saying a lot considering Daisy is usually reluctant to be left/away from me. I dropped Daisy with Aina's dad this time, and Daisy immediately started wagging her tail happily when she saw him. When I picked her up, Daisy actually whined and kept looking back to see if Aina was coming with us 😂 we will definitely rebook!”

“Damaris took good care of my dog and cat while I was out for 3 days. She sent updates and pics over the period of the booking. It was also easy to communicate with her and get responses.”
