About: I grew up on a farm and have spent my whole life with cats, dogs, horses, chickens, ducks, hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits. I helped care for them every day (food, water, bedding changes, grooming) until four years ago when I moved up to Bellingham for college (WWU!). I have always helped out with my family’s animals, but I started having serious responsibilities around the farm and barns when I was about 10 or 11. I have also assisted in birthing multiple litters of kittens, and even one miniature horse! My family currently has 5 horses, 4 dogs, 4 cats, 3 fish, and a bunny, all whom I love and help care for when I am home. I also have my own cat and dog who I absolutely adore! We have neighbors who own horses as well, and they would rely on me to take care of them when they were out of town. I currently have a pretty free schedule around school, so I have plenty of time for your fur babies, and would love to spend any and all of it with them!:) My main priority is making sure your pet (or pets) are healthy, happy and safe, just as they would be with you! Leslie welcomed Kahi into her home and was knowledgable of what Kahi needed to feel safe and comfortable. She was diligent to provide daily updates and pictures. The pictures showed that Kahi was well-adjusted to Leslie’s home and having a great time playing and bonding with Leslie’s pups. About: I grew up with dogs and cats, and have been a pet parent throughout adulthood. I have a deep love and affection for animals, and often look after the pets of family and friends as their trusted caretaker. I call myself a "whisperer" because I feel I've always known how to 'communicate' with domesticated animals and earn their trust. I'm an adjunct instructor at WWU with enough flexibility in my schedule to be available for pet care most of the time. As I considered alternative work for myself, I thought I should consider what I love to do, and pet sitting/dog walking feels like a great fit for me. I currently have a 2 year old female rescue dog who I'm 90% sure is a puggle, and 2 beautiful male cats. Traditionally I've owned boxers, but I love both big and small dogs of all kinds, puppies to seniors, as well as cats and most other pets (perhaps not insects...!). I'm reliable, friendly, patient, and love to walk, so frequent or long dog walks suit me fine. I have a flexible schedule and am available to look after your fur babies day and/or night, including day care, drop ins, boarding and house sitting. I have a pet-friendly home with a fenced yard in a safe neighborhood with parks and trails close by. I'm home much of the time so my pets get a lot of attention and care, are fed on schedule, and I'm up to date on all vaccinations. My home is clean, cozy and safe.

Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care and are treated like part of the family. I work from home and have a large, fully fenced backyard with a high fence for added security. I also have a screened/mosquito-net door that allows me to keep the door open during the day while I work, giving the dogs easy access to fresh air and the yard while remaining safely enclosed. My desk has a full view of the backyard, so I can keep a close eye on everyone throughout the day. Of course, if you prefer that your dog not have access through the open screened door, I'm happy to keep the main door closed and follow whatever routine makes you most comfortable. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet with someone else, and I'll treat your dog with the same care, attention, and affection that I give my own. -I work remotely Monday-Friday from 7-3:30 -I do tend to stay busy out of the house after 5pm for errands or a gym class a few times a week but no day is the same -Typically in the mountains one day out of the weekend I can be decently flexible during the week but I might NOT be the best fit if: -I can’t leave your dog at my house for 1.5 hours after work if I go to the gym or run an errand -If you need care past 8:00pm because that’s typically my bedtime… but I can be flexible. -Your dog doesn’t get along well with others …Otherwise, let’s do this! About: My pet care experience began when I joined a humane society volunteer program where I worked for 6 years and became a shift lead. Later, I worked at a doggy daycare and overnight pet hotel. There I worked with specific dog’s needs and care as well as managed a group of up to 60 free-roaming dogs (yes, it was as amazing as it sounds) I have worked as a pet sitter and dog walker for most of my life, and I have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have also worked with horses for most of my life and in the summers I care for horses on a large farm. They are pretty much a bunch of big, funny, puppies. I am formally trained in: -Dog first aide and CPR -Dog, cat, and small animal body language and care -Dog Bathing -Basic obedience training I am currently a recent WWU graduate working a part-time job. Being in my gap year after school, most of my time is flexible and social. I’m looking to fill some of my free time working with cute pets! About: Training my two aussie shepherd girls is a passion of mine, we herd sheep a couple times a week. I am proud to say I can keep up with them, although raising an aussie puppy is not for the faint of heart! They deserve adventures so I take them to new places with new smells and I would be happy to help your pup experience the world in a new way too! If you're not comfortable with that, they are safe in my home too 💚 Pet care is a full-time job and I treat it as such. Fur babies in my home get enrichment via toys, puzzles, treats and exercise- happy to train your doggo under 90lbs to use our treadmill! About: I’m a big animal lover! I’ve had plenty of pet sitting jobs before and I’ve grown up in a house full of pets as well. About: Hello! My name is Melina and we have a 4-year old Vizsla, Rasco, who loves to sleep, play and follow us on adventures. Your pup will be treated as one of ours, with lots of play time, attention and cuddles. If you have a high-energy dog, he'll fit right in as well, as I go on longer hikes every day with Rasco. In the winter we often cross country ski and in the summer we bike, hike, go to lakes and anything else that's fun! We've got tons of dog toys and dog beds available. Pets are allowed on furniture, and we don't have/use crates as I will mostly be home and around. If you would like to bring your own crate, that is totally fine as well! We have a fenced in yard with a doggie door too, so they have space to play outside as well when we're not out on a walk or a hike. I am happy to answer other questions you may have, just let me know! I currently am taking time off work and have unlimited availability when in town. I am very flexible and open for new bookings and I would love to help care for your pets going into this spring! I will be going to hikes, walks and other adventures depending on needs. We have a fenced backyard and a doggie door, so dogs are always able to get outside anytime. I will usually be home during the day with the dogs, but if I need to run any errands, I will not be out for more than 2 hours.

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was a kid, and to this day, I'm the go-to pet sitter in my family. I have a small dog who’s 4 years old and is very friendly with other dogs, cats, kids, and more. I’ve had him since he was a puppy and personally potty trained him, so I have plenty of experience with puppies. I grew up with a Lab, my husband and I had a German Shepherd mix for 12 years (so I’m very familiar with sweet senior energy and all the extra care that comes with it), and now I have Ollie—a high-energy, young husky/german shep mix who keeps life fun and active! Because of Ollie, I’m especially comfortable with large, energetic breeds and understand the structure, exercise, and attention they need to thrive. He LOVES having dog friends around and is incredibly friendly, but he can be a persistent playmate—so if your dog prefers a quieter environment, it might not be the best fit (totally get it… my last dog was the “fun police” too). I work from home, so your dog will get lots of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I also live right by trails, so daily walks and outdoor time are part of our routine. My home is very much a “dogs on the furniture, snuggles in bed” kind of home, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. I know how hard it is to find someone you truly trust with your pet, so I’m big on communication and will send plenty of updates and photos so you always feel connected. I’ve even talked about getting a second dog, so Rover has been a perfect way Ollie to have more furry friends around in the meantime. I work from home and so I’m around most of the day unless i’m going to the gym or running errands. I take Ollie for two walks a day so your pup would join us! I have a fully fenced yard for the dogs to romp and stay safe. Part of the fence is a wire field fence so if your dog is a fence hopper, I’d like to be made aware to keep a closer eye out!

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, and have been a pet parent throughout adulthood. I have a deep love and affection for animals, and often look after the pets of family and friends as their trusted caretaker. I call myself a "whisperer" because I feel I've always known how to 'communicate' with domesticated animals and earn their trust. I'm an adjunct instructor at WWU with enough flexibility in my schedule to be available for pet care most of the time. As I considered alternative work for myself, I thought I should consider what I love to do, and pet sitting/dog walking feels like a great fit for me. I work from home and have a large, fully fenced backyard with a high fence for added security. I also have a screened/mosquito-net door that allows me to keep the door open during the day while I work, giving the dogs easy access to fresh air and the yard while remaining safely enclosed. My desk has a full view of the backyard, so I can keep a close eye on everyone throughout the day. Of course, if you prefer that your dog not have access through the open screened door, I'm happy to keep the main door closed and follow whatever routine makes you most comfortable. About: (My pets listed in my profile do not live with me at my address so if boarding with me your pets will be the only ones in my home.) I have taken care of a multitude of animals from a young age being entrusted with neighbors, family and friend's pets. My experience includes working with dogs (of all sizes and temperaments), cats, rodents, reptiles, goats, rabbits, chickens, horses and birds. I even took care of some wonderful peregrine falcons once. From a young age I worked in animal rehabilitation and have nursed infant animals and enjoy nothing more than being able to spend time and play with such wonderful creatures. I have also taken puppy training classes in the past and plan to have a future career with animals. Over the summer I work as a server and as such would likely be away for 3-4 hour periods usually in the evenings. However, I recognize the attention and care animal caretaking requires and will happily work with you to make sure your pet gets the love and attention needed while you are away. I am able to take 1-2 animals into my own home with a size constraint on larger pets due to my buildings regulations. I would like to note that I do live in an apartment complex however I am right next to walking and hiking paths. Additionally, I do live with a roommate who is also a huge animal lover. When house sitting, for pets of any size or kind I am always willing to come into your home and will treat such a space with the utmost respect.
