I currently work remote full time so my schedule is flexible to take care of your furr baby. I am available all weekends and most weekdays with one day notice. I am very flexible with drop off/pick up times. I’ve had pets my whole life. A goofy black lab named Jake and four cats who ran the house. I love all animals, but I have a soft spot for dogs and cats. I work from home, so your pet will get tons of attention, snuggles, and playtime throughout the day. I’m happy to stick to their usual potty, feeding, and medication schedule so everything feels familiar and comfortable for them. I just moved to Sterling from Herndon, and I’m less than 10 minutes from Dulles Airport (IAD), super convenient if you’re heading out of town! My house has a yard where your dog can stretch their legs and burn off some energy too. Pickup and drop-off are available within 10 miles for $20 total (round trip). About: I've had pets my whole life and know how much it matters to leave yours somewhere you trust. Your dog will be part of the household here — not crated in a back room — with plenty of attention, a regular routine, and photo updates so you know how the day is going. A few things to know about my setup: I have a yard, but it isn't fenced, so all potty breaks and outdoor time are leashed and supervised. Never off-leash. I have one dog of my own, a friendly female Bernedoodle named Dorothy. She's good with other dogs, and I'm happy to do a meet-and-greet first to make sure everyone gets along. I work from home, so your dog won't be alone for long stretches. Comfortable with puppies, senior dogs with special needs, and everything in between. For walks, I'll stick to whatever route and pace your dog is used to, and I'll let you know how it went. Happy to set up a free meet-and-greet before booking anything. My schedule is completely my own so I can tailor my day to what your dog is used to. Our usual routine is a walk/run in the morning and a walk with the whole family in the evening. About: I am a lover of all animals and I currently have my tabby cat, April. My mom is a dog walker, and through her, I’ve been exposed to dogs of all breeds and watched how she lovingly cares for them. I’ve accompanied her on countless walks during my free time and I’m very familiar with the dog walking procedures. About: I have had several dogs but do not currently have any pets. I have had to give medicine to dogs and lots of experience with puppy “accidents”. I’m a teacher, so during summer and breaks I have lots of free time. I have two boys, both of whom love animals. They would love to have a pet visit our home. I can only house-sit when I don’t have my children with me, but can board an animal anytime. Important to note that during the school year my Friday availability is evening only. I have a fenced yard. At my home, I can almost guarantee your dog or cat would get to sleep in a child’s bed and be loved like family. At your home, I would respect any rules you have set.
About: I’ve cared for dogs for friends, family, and family friends, including paid dog walking and pet sitting. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, and I’m committed to providing dependable care and keeping owners updated while they’re away. I’ll treat your pet with the same attention and care they receive at home. Besides my job, pet care fits well into my weekly routine, allowing me to provide reliable and flexible care. I make time for what they need and I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pet is doing well. I always follow the owner’s instructions and keep their routine as consistent as possible. I make sure pets have fresh water, receive meals on schedule, get plenty of exercise and attention, and keep them in a safe environment. During walks, pets securely leashed, and treat every home and pet with respect and care.
About: I use Reiki and massage when animals and their humans are accepting of it. My rates are built to service a wider geographical area. Please ask about lower rates for care needed close to my home, or other existing clients. I grew up with many cats (over many years), and a dog. We had several dogs in the neighborhood I would help and visit with, and have experience with horses and other animals of air, land and sea. I’ve been caring for dogs, cats and horses professionally for a little over three decades. I am self-employed and make my own schedule, so I’m busy, but flexible with enough notice or if there is a gap in my schedule. I have a big and friendly dog of my own who would want to stay with me if you require overnight dog or cat sitting, depending on how far you are from our home. My end-unit townhome backs up to the retention pond. I can see the walking trail that backs up to the forest from my deck. My small, fenced-in backyard opens up to a wheelchair accessible paver path. So ideal for older pets who need less/no stairs. I’ve cared for many elderly animals.
