Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. We would definitely leave Denver with them again!”

I am reliable and make sure to communicate clearly when a problem arises, or just to send pictures because I know you miss your pet. I love going for walks around my neighborhood and make sure to give plenty of cuddles! I am in online school full-time, so I can your pet my full attention during the day. I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. About: I love all types of dogs, especially the big ones (and puppies too!) I have had dogs all my life and am not afraid to care for any type of breed. I have experience with bird dogs with high energy. We currently have a bloodhound name Daisy, who is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs and animals! About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

About: I've been a pet caretaker since I was 12. Dogs quickly connect with me for play, walking and companionship- just like you were there too. I have a very flexible schedule with my JMU classes this semester so I have lots of available time to spend with your fur baby. I am currently home for summer! About: I’ve always had animals growing up. My family bred Saint Bernards, so I have experience with animals of all sizes and ages. I loved helping take care of them, but have been unable since I moved for college. I am really excited to meet your pets. I’m currently working part-time with a very flexible job. I can do anytime as long as I have about a weeks notice prior. Thank you! I have a fenced in court-yard and currently have no pets, so your pet is my number 1 priority. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with plenty of space for your animals!

“We were so happy to leave our boy, Denver, with Jesse and Emily. Denver is almost 14 and so giving him the love and attention he’d get as the only dog in the home was really important to us, and not having to worry about him getting stressed out by younger dogs who constantly wanted to play for 6 days. We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. We would definitely leave Denver with them again!”

I am reliable and make sure to communicate clearly when a problem arises, or just to send pictures because I know you miss your pet. I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
