“Garrett and Ana were great! We had a meet and greet and all the family came to meet Pepper and Chili. They were very flexible and understanding as I had to modify my booking because one of my fur babies passed a couple of days before the scheduled boarding. They sent pictures and updates of Pepper every day and she came back home happy 😊”

“This was my second time with Brian. He and his partner are such great sitters and really warm people. Will definitely repeat-book again. Thank you, Brian!!”

Their two dogs are people and dog friendly. Our dog was best buds. We got updates about our gig as well as photos. We have booked again!”

“Jennifer and Louis are FANTASTIC. They are Dolly's home away from home. I feel 100% at ease with Dolly in Jennifer's 24 hour care. Dolly has stayed with Jennifer before - and just now for 2 weeks and I will fly up from Florida for Dolly to stay with Jennifer and Louis when my family and I travel Internationally in October. Jennifer communicates, send pictures and keeps us informed. We love Jennifer and Dolly is always happy to see her and Louis.”

About: I have had a dog since I was young, I also have one now! I am a passionate dog lover and enjoy being outdoors especially for walks! Pet care fits well into my daily routine. Starting in late August, I’ll be a full-time online college student, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive care throughout the day. If I have a longer overnight stay, I may bring my laptop to complete coursework, but it will not interfere with caring for your pet. I’ll always let you know my schedule in advance and make sure your pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. I’ll make sure your pet stays on their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll provide fresh food and water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love and attention. If needed. I’ll treat both your pet and your home with the same care and respect that I would my own. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

“Bella was fantastic! We contacted her last minute because we needed help with giving medication to one of our kitties. She was able to come same day. We did a video call and I walked her through everything. We definitely will be using her again and if we loved the photos she sent of the kitties. It was clear that she loves animals.”

“Ian was wonderful with my two cats! Displayed great communication to me and great attentiveness to my cats while gone for two weeks. I was at ease knowing they were being taking care of. I would recommend Ian and rebook with him in the future!”

About: I have years of experience providing compassionate and reliable cat sitting services, focusing on ensuring the well-being of each feline friend. My background includes administering medications, engaging in playtime, and offering plenty of cuddles, all while keeping owners updated with regular communication.
“Sarah is everything you could ask for in a pet sitter. She is 100% reliable and goes above and beyond. It is obvious that she truly cares about the pets that she is looking after. Can’t recommend her enough, and we will definitely see if she’s available for our future trips.”

“Our cat Ella loved Elyse right away which doesn't always happen with new people. Elyse was very communicative , flexible, and so great to work with. She provided great updates while we were away which was really appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to book Elyse again!”

“Lenny checked in with our two cats once a day for 2 weeks and we are so thankful for her. The girls seemed relaxed, well taken care of and happy when we got home. One day seemed a little tough on them and Lenny stayed way past her time to show them the love they needed. She kept us updated on everything and send lots of pictures which was much appreciated. Thank you so much!”

“Grace took such great care of my cats, and they warmed up to her very quickly! My cats are notoriously messy, and she left things cleaner than when I left. I would definitely recommend and would trust her to catsit for me again.”

“Eve was great, she did a meet and greet before I went on vacation and made sure to ask questions so she knew all of my Cat's requirements beforehand. She also sent pictures and let me know how my cat was doing while I was away.”

About: I’ve taken care of all type of different cats breeds from calm all the way to chaos lol! I have experience with changing the litter box, cleaning litter, feeding and watering, cleaning up accidents like feces, urination and vomit.
About: Hi! I'm Ryan, a recent grad from West Potomac heading to the University of Virginia next year! I've been taking care of animals as long as I can remember, and I've had a strict schedule for my current dog (5pm feeding & 6pm walk) since we've had him (6yrs) ! I love all animals and I'm excited to take care of any animals that need it. Every day, as long as I can remember, I've had to feed and walk my dog at strict times in the afternoon as to keep a schedule for him. This makes it much less confusing and has him calm. I'll miss him at college, but I'm glad I can keep him on track while I'm here. Since I was young, my parents have always taught me to be on my best behavior in others homes. From taking shoes off at the door to refilling a dog bowl if I see it empty, I'll make sure that your home is even better than you left it.
About: I’ve had and loved pets my entire life! (I was convinced I was going to be a vet until I realized I would very likely sob every time a pet got sick.) From my black lab, Raven, to my cats Lily and Langston, to now, my long-haired chihuahua, Midge, animals are just a part of the day-to-day! Since age 12, I’ve been petsitting for friends, family, and neighbors (including overnight stays) and cared for dogs who are super energetic, playful, and independent to dogs who experience some anxiety and might need a bit more attention❤️! I also have experience caring for a bit older doggos. My black lab, Raven, lived to 16 and as her mobility and needs changed, I changed with her and it really taught me to be very attentive, gentle, and adaptive to a pets needs. I’m comfortable and experienced with walking, feeding, brushing, playtime, litter boxes, and loving and attention when pets want or need it❤️! So whether your pet is super energetic and playful or just wants a calm, reassuring companion, I’m happy to match their vibe and energy and make them feel loved and at home☺️🐾! I’m a rising junior at Virginia Tech and home for the summer, working part-time as a server in the Fort Hunt/Hybla Valley area. I have a super flexible schedule and lots of free time to spend with your pets, so I’m available for walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, or whatever else your pet might need😊! Mainly, I care for pets in the comfort of their own home with walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays! I make sure to stick to their routine, make sure they get plenty of playtime, attention, and exercise (or just hang out if that’s more their style!) I don’t usually host pets in my home, but I’m super flexible and want to make sure your pet feels happy and loved, and I’ll always make sure to send updates and pics📸🫶!
“Juan completely saved the day by accepting our last minute booking! He took great care of our kitty and home while we were out of town - couldn’t have asked for better. Will definitely book again!”

“Matthew was truly the best! He eased our worries from the very beginning and was incredibly communicative during each visit. Absolutely would recommend and book again 😇”

About: I have hands-on cat care experience from successfully fostering a litter of kittens through to independence, volunteering directly with cats at animal shelters, and spending two years managing cat adoptions at PetSmart. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, litter maintenance, socializing shy cats, and spotting signs something’s off health-wise.

About: I've cared for cats through both drop-in visits and overnight stays, including caring for my sister's cats while she was away. I'm comfortable following each cat's routine and making sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, playtime if they enjoy it, and plenty of attention, or space, if that's what they prefer. I know every cat has a unique personality, so I take the time to help them feel comfortable and safe in their own home. I'll provide dependable care, keep you updated with photos and messages, and treat your cat with the same kindness and attention I'd want for my own pets.
“Carly has been so wonderful and reliable for our dog, Phoebe! She has provided weekly drop ins for a couple of months and one long overnight stay so far, which she extended a night on short notice for us. She provides us with consistent updates and communication and Phoebe is always a happy girl after each of her visits. We highly recommend Carly, she’s been one of our best Petsitters to date.”

“I was leaving my two 4-yr-old cats with a stranger for the first time in their lives, and mine - needless to say, I was a touch distraught. These particular fur-babies are very sweet and cuddly, but also quite needy and very skittish around strangers, only adding to my nervousness. I found Jenny on Rover and was really pleased with her. After a Zoom chat, she came over in advance to meet us and learn about their routines, see where everything was, and asked about their favorite toys and how they like to interact. I couldn't have been happier when I saw photos of them not only tolerating her presence in their home, but coming to her for belly rubs and to be combed. Whatever tests they put her through, she passed. I will definitely reach out to her again.”

“My dog had an amazing time and I am so appreciative that he was able to accommodate my last minute booking. Absolutely loved the photos and videos, and the fast communication. Will definitely book again!”

“Matthew & his wife Khalia are wonderful to work with! They take great care of Luciano and even practice his commands with him. The thoughtful care is truly evident here. You can tell how much fun our dog has at their place too! Pick-up time involves a lot of coaxing Lucci back in the car, and during the drop off he sprints up their driveway 🤣”

“Jenny did a wonderful job of taking care of Ringo. She is incredibly conscientious and caring. She pays attention to her charges and made provided pictures and updates on Ringo’s stay. Will be using in the future as well.”

“Russ and his family took excellent care of our girl! They have a lovely yard and some adorable and playful bassets - a dogs paradise! They sent lots of updates, photos, and videos of our pup throughout the day. We picked up a very happy girl! Highly recommend!”

“Abigail was wonderful. I needed a sitter at the last minute for super early in the morning and late in the evening. She rearranged her schedule so she could help me. When I dropped my dog off she was very kind and I felt comfortable leaving. When I picked up my dog, I could tell she did a good job because my dog is normally very shy and gets depressed when I am away. When I picked my dog up, although extremely happy to see us, she still went by Abigail.”

About: Mom of dogs, cats, birds, lizards and other animals looking to spoil more in my spare time. Can promise treats and lots of hugs if needed. Working as a researcher so the schedule varies a bit but is generally fairly free since I work from home and have a flexible schedule I have a fenced yard, but would prefer to see animal at clients house since my dog and cat get stressed at having their space invaded, unless it's by a well known friend
“You guys were a life saver, I must admit I was a bit nervous as this was a first time using Rover. But Natalie and Bryce made me at ease for the moment we met. Now let’s get into Dutch :) we had a time getting in the truck as he was still trying to follow you guys!!! That tells me he really enjoyed the care you provided. Thank you thank you soooo much!! We would definitely use you guys again!!!!!!!”

“Jennifer was amazing and helped me out last minute when another rover sitter cancelled! She was super responsive and Spike enjoyed spending the day with her and Louis :) I would definitely book again!”

“We had a great experience with Roderick and his family. Since our dog is still pretty new to us, we were a little unsure how he’d do, but he warmed up to them so quickly. It was clear he was comfortable and well cared for the whole time. Roderick and his family were kind, welcoming, and treated him like one of their own. We’d definitely book with them again and highly recommend them!”

“We are always at peace when we leave Maia with Kathy. She really makes sure that Maia has a wonderful time. They go on walks and play a lot in the backyard. Maia comes home tired and happy. Thank you, Kathy!”

About: I've had a pet most of my life. Missy was my first cat but I've had 5 since her. Cats typically love me even the shy ones. Max was my first dog but I've lived with or owned 5. “Laia took wonderful care of Millie who is an older beagle with separation anxiety. Millie went with Laia happily and came to us at the end of the day with her tail wagging it. We traveled from New Hampshire to spend a few days with our newborn grandson. Laia was able to keep Millie calm and happy so we could be relaxed and enjoy our time with baby. Laia’s patience and compassion with Millie was very much appreciated! We would definitely book again the next time we visit our family in Virginia.”

“Katie is a stellar sitter and her youngsters and pup are all absolutely adorable! Katie was very attentive to my pup, Major, and very communicative with me. Major seemed surprisingly at ease exploring their house when he first arrived, and by Day 2, dropoff was already a breeze. I greatly appreciate Katie's flexibility with drop-off and pickup times, and I LOVED the card she left for us in Major's backpack - what a delightful touch! The neighborhood is of course exceptionally safe, which is always reassuring when leaving even fur babies with someone new all day.”

I will do everything possible to accommodate the individual needs of your dog or cat.
“Review for Ian D. I can't recommend Ian D highly enough! My two dogs have their quirks—especially my Staffy, who tends to be a bit wary of men. Ian was aware of this and took the time to ease into the situation, which I found incredibly impressive. Now, Izzy is a huge fan! He was consistently on time and provided them with wonderful walks every day. It's clear he genuinely cares for the dogs and understands their needs. His responsible approach and great personality make him an outstanding choice for any dog owner. If you're looking for a reliable and caring dog walker, sitter look no further!”

“Lenny did a great job taking our 2 Great Danes on daily walks. The girls really like her and were very excited when she arrived every day. It is apparent how much Lenny likes animals and her enthusiasm and care for them really shows.”

She goes above and beyond to make sure Korra is comfortable, happy, and well taken care of during every walk. It’s clear that Lori truly loves dogs, and her dedication shines through in the way she interacts with Korra. “Carly was absolutely fantastic caring for our dog, Kongo, while we were away on vacation. She was consistently timely, punctual, responsible, and extremely responsive throughout the entire process. Most importantly, Kongo absolutely loved her, which gave us tremendous peace of mind while traveling. What truly stood out was Carly’s professionalism and calm demeanor when she unexpectedly had to deal with a malfunctioning smoke alarm at our home during our trip. She handled the situation confidently and without hesitation, acting as though it was no inconvenience at all — despite it being something far beyond what should normally be expected of a dog walker. Knowing Carly was caring for Kongo made our vacation far more relaxing and enjoyable. We are incredibly grateful for her reliability, kindness, and dedication. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for trustworthy and exceptional pet care. Five stars all the way!”

Winnie can be a little difficult on walks sometimes because she is a bit dog reactive and Francise did a great job managing her! We can’t say enough nice things and we highly recommend Francise and look forward to having Winnie stay with Francise again!”

“We had a great experience with Asia! She took the time to answer our questions and really get to know Dixie. Dixie seemed to have a great time in all the photos we were sent! She really put us at ease as this was our first time boarding our dog.”

“Marlene took wonderful care of our dog while we were gone for 5 days. We appreciated all the pictures and could tell Zoe was having a great time! We would definitely book with Marlene again and recommend to others!”

“Kayla and Adam were wonderful hosts for our little Bonnie! This was Bonnie’s first time staying anywhere without us, but Kayla and Adam obviously love dogs and were simply great with her. Kayla sent reports with pictures several times a day, putting our minds at ease. And the fact that our dog, a very nervous and picky eater, was relaxed enough to eat on her first day told us very clearly that she was doing fine and felt at home with Kayla and her family. Thank you Kayla and Adam - we’ll be back!!”

“Dena took amazing care of my dog! She was very responsive and has great communication the entire time. My dog was definitely sad to leave but I certainly will be going back to them!”
