“Cyndi was terrific! Our girl felt right at home with her - which was unusual. Cyndi was awesome giving us regular photo updates, so we knew our baby was in good hands. I'm not at all sure that Penny missed us that's how good Cyndi's care was. We couldn't be happier.”
“I can’t say thank Matt enough! He is an amazing host. As a new dog dad after more than 20 yrs, I was a little panicked trying to figure out who to trust with my rescue pup for the night. After a simple Google search, I came across Matt’s profile. Read the reviews, the number of repeat stays and decided to download this app. Matt arranged a meet and greet. He put me at ease right away and Sawyer enjoyed the brief meeting. Booking was simple. Drop off and pick up were super easy and convenient. Sawyer had a great say and I couldn’t be happier! I’d recommend Matt to friends and family without hesitation.”

“Susan is super responsive and flexible- which is helpful with last minute work travel! I always receive daily updates and pictures and Goose loves visiting his friend Bailey.”

“Jesse was so great with Zoey. He sent lots of photos, took her on a lot of walks and spent cuddle time with her. It’s clear he truly loves animals. We’d love for Zoey to stay with Jesse again.”

“Sharisse and her family were great hosts!! Mateo felt comfortable from the moment he got there!! She sent photos and videos of him playing, walking and having fun. We will definitely rebook. Thank you for taking such good care of him while I enjoyed my vacation.”

“Sheri and her family took wonderful care of Kimber. He went on fun adventures and clearly received a lot of love and attention. I could not be happier to have found such an amazing sitter. 100/10!!!!!! Kimber can't wait to go back.”

About: Large fenced in backyard. Daily walks when weather cooperates (often times twice a day). We have a sweet old pup who still loves to play and would love a friend. We have had dogs all our lives and give lots of love. Will send pics daily or more often as desired. Our two boys are very sweet to dogs and are excited for more pups to play with and cuddle. I work from home and get up super early so I have time for walks before work. Work is flexible so I can care for the pup(s) as needed throughout the day. My 8 year old son gets home from school at 3 and would love a pup to play or hang out with. I have a large fenced in backyard and a sweet old pup who still likes to play and would love the company. Our house is large and spacious and we have a nice soft couch where our dog loves to lay. We have dog beds, dog bowls, and leashes in case you need to borrow ours. We offer lots of love and play time. Our two boys (8 and 5) have endless energy for playing with dogs and are very sweet with them. Daily walks (often times twice a day) if weather allows.
“Pamela and Paul are legit ‘dog people’. They got to know Ollie pretty quickly and confidently helped him ease into a friendship with Marlowe and another client. I received the usual photos of Ollie with a ball or snuggling humans, but was surprised to also receive photos of Ollie playing and snuggling with the other dogs, which was a whole new experience for him! I’m happy to know he was so well taken care of during his time with Pamela, Paul and Marlowe and will reach out again for future boarding!”

“I cannot recommend this wonderful woman enough! Our dog had the best time staying with Natasha and her sweet family. We received photos daily and our dog was always happily playing with children and occasionally with other dogs. I was able to enjoy our vacation with complete confidence that our puppy was doing just fine! 100% RECOMMEND!! THANK YOU!”

“Terry was a wonderful sitter to my dog baby. I received pictures and updates during his stay and she was very loving to him. I will book with Terry again in the future.”

“Michelle was AMAZING with my dog. My dog is a special needs dog. (He can't do stairs, has anxiety accidents, needs medication, etc.) I so rarely leave my dog with anyone else because of this. But Michelle didn't make any of his needs feel like a burden. Her and her family were so warm toward him and very attentive to his idiosyncrasies. He got along with the kids, who were sensitive to his need to warm up to people. He ran around the house and was so happy to be there with the family. Michelle sent updates multiple times a day with pictures/videos and a report on how he was doing: if he went to the bathroom, what he ate, and what his mood was like. I will be booking with her again and will very easily recommend!”

“Amy and her family were great as usual! They watched my pup while I was gone for 2 weeks out of the country during the holidays. Even bought him a little Xmas present! Thank you for taking such great care of him :)”

“Excellent sitter. She was so professional and caring. She walked him she played with him. I got pictures everyday. Bruno got along with her baby. They became good buddies. I can tell Bruno miss Snoop her pet. When I have to go away again I definitely want Myrna to be the sitter. You will feel good about leaving your pet with her”

“Sierra was phenomenal with Kendrick! She was kind, communicative, and went the extra mile to make sure he was well looked after. I will definitely book her again in the near future and cannot recommend her enough!!”

“Cathy was great! She understood cats and what to do and not to do with my sweet, but timid, Rudy. She went above and beyond also by taking care of things at the house. I will definitely use her again.”

“Randi went above and beyond to make sure our animals were taken care of. She even voluntarily took home a chick that could not walk and fixed it's leg so it can get around on its own now. She also watered our plants and brought in mail while we were gone. She seems to know a lot about dogs and is a wealth of info on chickens, as well. Some of my chickens were not doing so well and thanks to her advice, they are looking healthier. I'd highly recommend her.”

“Nicolas (Cole) was great to communicate with. He gave detailed feedback on how our dogs were doing while we were home. He took the initiative to find our cat and made sure he got attention too ! Coke’s puts his heart in his work with the pets. We will gladly request to have him return.”

“This was a difficult sit for Lauren. Mal was approaching 18 years old and was not eating well. Several days into our trip, he took a turn for the worse. Lauren could not contact our veterinary because it was the weekend. We advised her to contact my daughter who was our contact on the Rover site. Lauren was able to pass our key to my son-in-law who sat with our cat as he passed away. Lauren was very professional.”

About: We have had cats since I was born! I love working with the shy ones and slowly gaining their trust. I have taken in numerous strays over the years who were feral. My last one I took in 2 years ago. Prior to catching her succesfully, she had two litters of kittens all of which I decided to keep (7 cats in total, 3 are in the picture, they were just 4 months there! They are the largest cats I've ever had!)

“Helen was absolutely incredible with our two cats! They are seniors with special needs and very human-oriented, and Helen put our minds at complete ease when she house sat for a night and two days while we were out of state. She provided updates, photos, and kept in touch with us throughout the whole time we were away. She even very kindly brought our mail and hellofresh inside, and made up the bed so we could just drop our bags and settle in at home when we returned. Definitely rebooking anytime we need her services in the future!”

“Although my cat was initially wary of a stranger, Alexandra made fast friends with him and I felt better knowing he wasn't too lonely while I was gone. Thanks Alexandra!”

“Vanessa was wonderful! She took great care of our cats (and hummingbirds) and our house. She was in constant contact letting us know how our girls were doing and sent plenty of pictures which we loved. We will definitely reach out to her again when we need her services”

“Allyson is a repeat catsitter for me! We had her first for our wedding and we recently rebooked her again for a family beach trip, and I was so happy she was available! She took a lot of photos, and we loved getting our daily report cards which were always thorough and sweet to read! Both of my cats seemed to remember her from last time which made us happy, and she did a great job taking care of them and keeping the litter box clean. I would (once again) highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by cats for as long as I can remember! Growing up as an only child, our pets were my built-in best friends, and caring for them was my responsibility from a young age. I’ve continued to have cats throughout my adult life, and I currently have cats of my own who are very loved (and very spoiled!) members of our family. Over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me to drop in and stay with their cats while they’re away. I know cats have their own personalities, routines, and comfort levels. Some want all the attention the second you walk through the door, while others need you to earn their trust from across the room first! I’m happy to meet them wherever they’re most comfortable. Whether that means meals and fresh water, litter box care, playtime, medication or routine needs, lots of cuddles, or simply giving them some company and making sure everything is okay, I want your cat to feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I have had to give my own cats medications from time to time and I know how hard that can be! I am experienced and comfortable being able to do what is needed for your fur babies! I’m also a mom to a toddler and three pets of my own, and in our house, pets are never “just pets”, they’re family. I know how nerve-racking it can be to trust someone else with one of your babies, so I’ll always treat your cat with the same patience, attention, and love I’d want someone to give my own. And yes, I will absolutely send you pictures of your cat while you’re gone.

“We have now used Steven several times and can honestly say there is no one else we would want to take care of our pets while away! He is reliable, caring, and trustworthy. 100% recommend his services!”

“More excellent service from Amanda! She is our go-to person to care for our two cats when we’re out of town. She is very punctual and thorough, taking time to play with our cats in addition to the usual daily tasks of caring for them. She’s great about sharing photos and videos of our cats with us, too!”

About: Hi! I'm Meg. I've been a dog person my whole life. There's never been a time when a dog wasn't part of my family. That lifelong experience means I read dog body language well, know how to keep walks safe and fun, and genuinely love the job, not just the paycheck. I live right in historic downtown Ashland, Virginia, close to the train tracks and those lovely tree-lined streets, so I know the neighborhood well and always have a good route in mind, whether that's a leisurely stroll past the historic homes or a longer loop to really burn off some energy. I especially love high-energy pups and puppies! Whether your dog needs a good long walk to burn off some zoomies or a patient hand during those chaotic puppy months (potty breaks, leash manners, all of it), I'm your person. I'll never cut a walk short or phone it in. Your dog gets my full attention, every visit. What you can expect from me: 🐕 On-time, reliable walks and drop-ins around downtown Ashland 📸 Photo/video updates so you can see the fun 🚰 Fresh water, treats (if approved!), and lots of praise 🔒 Careful with leashes, doors, and gates, safety first ❤️ Genuine enthusiasm for your dog, not just a paycheck I treat every dog like my own. If your pup needs an extra-long walk to tire them out or a little extra patience while they learn the ropes, I'm happy to go the extra mile (literally). Looking forward to meeting your dog! 🐶 My schedule is wonderfully flexible right now, so pet care fits in easily any day of the week. I can do mornings, afternoons, or evenings, and I'm always happy to work around your dog's usual routine so nothing feels disrupted. Your home and your dog's routine are treated with total respect. I follow whatever house rules you set, whether that's where the leash lives, how the door locks work, or feeding schedules. I always double check gates and doors before heading out, and I move at your dog's pace, not mine.

“Susan is amazing and made our anxiety-inducing first drop off at doggie day care way easier! Easy communication and planning and she and her dog made mine feel right at home. Loved how many updates and pictures she sent us too! Our dog seemed happy and tired afterwards.”

“Amy and Kris couldn't have been nicer people. I used their services to watch my beagle for the day while I visited Richmond. Their home was easy on and off the highway making this place ideal for visits. Bitsy spent the day with a few other nice dogs, received some delicious homemade doggy treats and got lots of love and snuggles. Thanks, we will be back again. :)”

“Kelsi and her family were wonderful hosts to Fin! They were adaptable as I needed a last minute pet sit for a couple of hours. Fin loved hanging at their house and he was super comfortable the whole time. I would definitely book with Kelsi again!”

“Vannessa is very reliable and sweet! My puppy loves her. She sends pics/vids throughout the day. Its a bonus that she lives 5mins from me. Grateful to have found her as I wasn’t expecting to get Ace so soon. So thank you very much for all you do, it is more than appreciated!”

“Sheri was incredible. Made plenty of time for our dog and made sure he was comfortable and received lots of care. Sent pics and updates throughout the day. Will 100% call her again if we need a sitter!”

“Ashley and her family were wonderful in watching my sweet puppy Banks for the day! I was in desperate need of a last minute sitter and Ashley stepped in to help. This was my first time away from Banks and I was overjoyed that he came home happy and well cared for! I would absolutely hire Ashely again and I am so thankful for such an amazing experience :)”

“Always satisfied with Srujana’s care and enthusiasm when looking after Tenor. The pup always comes back happy, and most importantly, tuckered you after playing with Rex all day.”

“Zaria is wonderful with dogs. My little ones tend to be shy and skittish with strangers but not with her. They were comfortable immediately. It was such a relief to know they would be happy with her. I HIGHLY recommend Zaria to take for your fur babies too!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of all kinds since I was 5 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to care for their dogs and cats of all sizes while they travel or during emergencies. I love spoiling pets whenever I get the chance, and I treat every dog or cat as if they were my own. I do work a hybrid schedule and I’m also able to work from your home as well while sitting. I have plenty of time after or even before that to care for any pet that’s in my care. I’m free and available! I have a fenced in backyard and two other fur babies that will also keep your fur babies company and they have a lot of energy as well. I have enough space within my home to crate your puppies/dogs if needed.
“I’m so grateful for Pamela & Paul. They make every effort to do what is best for my dog (exercise, food, social) and let me know if there’s a concern. My dog is so very happy when she sees we have arrived at their house. She can’t wait to go inside.”

About: I have a large variety of experience with dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds. I have had a myriad of pet-sitting jobs—for friends, family, and strangers! I also worked as a Veterinary Assistant for years when was younger, so I can work with dogs and cats of all mannerisms and at all stages of their lives. I am completely comfortable medicating or attending to any special needs. I work remotely so I will be home to give your pet all the attention they may need any day of the week. Pet care fits very easily in my routine since I have 2 of my own! I live in a townhome and have a small fenced in yard that is good for potty breaks and some outdoor chilling, but there are also plenty of areas around me to walk the dogs. I have a 5-year-old 65 lb mixed breed dog named Baloo and a floofy orange cat named Bennett, so any dogs staying with me would need to be dog/cat friendly (or at least tolerating). If I come into your home, I am respectful of your space and able to follow instructions well.

“We are very appreciative of Amanda and her husband for taking great care of our boys! Amanda is very communicative, caring and flexible which has been critical for our dog care needs. Can’t wait for our pups’ next stay!”

“Loren has been absolutely amazing. She responded very quickly, we had a fantastic meet & greet, and I knew she'd take great care of Professor. He had a great time spending the day with Loren. I'd highly recommend her!”

“Peyton was amazing! Checked in with us regularly and ensured Jupiter had a great time. We will definitely book with Peyton again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our sweet girl!”

I’m currently available full time and flexible to drop in when it’s best for your pets! I’m most available during the mornings and afternoons any day of the week. About: Hi! I’m a dependable, caring dog lover who treats every pet as if they were my own. I understand that pets are family, and my goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or feeding, I tailor my care to each pet’s unique personality and needs. Why Choose Me? ✔ Patient, attentive, and reliable ✔ Clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment ✔ Regular updates with photos and messages ✔ Genuinely love spending time with animals I work from home, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I also have a friendly dog of my own, so your pup will have a built-in buddy for play and socialization. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to stick closely to your dog’s routine, provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of love. Your dog will never be left alone for long and will be treated like part of the family. I care for pets as if they were my own, with safety, trust, and comfort as my top priorities. In my home, pets stay in a clean, calm environment with a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor play and potty breaks. I also have crates available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet, safe space to relax.

“Excellent situation. Lesley was awesome! Kind and loving to our dog. I felt very safe and comfortable leaving him there. Her property and space was as described. She was extremely helpful in setting up the sitting. Communication was fast and reliable. I am so very thrilled to have found Lesley for the few days we required Copper to stay with someone.i would definitely recommend her to someone else and use her again. I cannot sing enough praise. Highly satisfied with the experience.”
“Matt is fantastic. My dog Ru loves going to his house so much that she sprints to his front door and will not look back for me at all. She has a great time with him and when I pick her up she is happy and tired in the best way. He clearly has a great understanding of dogs and is very professional and communicative. I feel completely confident leaving my girl there and I know she has the absolute best care.”

“Sierra has been walking our dog Harley for a little over a month now and all I can say is how grateful we are to have found Sierra! Harley can be a shy girl initially but she warmed right up to Sierra and loves her midday walks with her! I would definitely recommend Sierra for any pet care needs. She is so responsive and sends lots of pictures of your fur baby (which we love) each time she’s with them and a detailed review of their time together.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember! Growing up as an only child, our pets were my built-in best friends and caring for them was my responsibility from a young age. That love for animals has only grown with me. Over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me to drop in, walk, and stay with their pets while they’re away, and I genuinely love getting to know each animal and their individual personality, routines, and quirks. These days, I’m a mom to a toddler and three very loved pets of my own, including my Golden Retriever, who is always happy to join me for a random walk during the day! I’d love to add a few more furry friends to my walking schedule and give them the same attention, patience, and affection I give my own. In our house, pets aren’t just pets, they’re family. I know how much trust it takes to leave a beloved pet in someone else’s care, and I’ll always treat yours with the same love and importance I would want someone to give mine. Whether they need a good walk, some playtime, company, or just someone to make sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away, I’d be so happy to be that person! I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout my day! I’m able to come and go as needed, so fitting walks, drop-ins, and visits into my daily routine is easy. I also have a great support system at home, which allows me to be flexible with scheduling and give your pets the time and attention they need. Because my work is remote, I can also bring it with me when needed! If your pet would benefit from a little extra company beyond a typical drop-in, I’m happy to settle in with my laptop and spend some additional time with them rather than rushing out the door. As a mom and pet owner myself, caring for both little humans and furry family members is already a big part of my everyday life. My child has been raised around animals and taught from the beginning to be gentle and respectful of their space. My schedule allows me plenty of freedom to make pet care a natural, and very welcome, part of my day! In our house, pet care is part of our everyday routine! I make sure fresh water is always available both upstairs and downstairs and changed daily, my cats’ food is checked and replenished each day, and my dog eats on a consistent twice-daily schedule. When I’m home, my dog gets a morning or afternoon walk, plenty of trips outside to our fenced backyard throughout the day, and usually a daycare day or two each week for some extra exercise and socialization. When I leave the house, I’m also very mindful of his safety, he stays comfortably downstairs with access to his bed and water, potential chewing hazards are put away, and toys that require supervision are never left out. I’d bring that same level of attention to caring for your pets! I know every animal and household has its own routine, so I’m happy to follow your feeding schedule, potty or litter box routine, walking preferences, playtime rules, and any other instructions that help your pet feel comfortable. Whether your pet thrives on a strict schedule or has their own wonderfully specific set of quirks, I want their routine to feel as normal as possible while you’re away.

“We had a great walk yesterday. Rochelle was great. She walked Prince and handled him very well. She also learned some of our walking routes as well as side streets of Ashland.”

About: I've been a petsitter since middle school. I've looked after cats and dogs both young and old, large and small. I'm very flexible and I take special care to keep each pet I care for comfortable and happy. I'm not currently employed, so I have plenty of time. I prefer late hours, but I can handle early risers too. I have a club event every second and fourth Tuesday; otherwise I'm fairly flexible with my activities. I will meet your pet wherever they are. If they need affection, I can give it; if they need space, I can give it. I put their well-being first, no matter what. If they make a mess, I will clean it up.
About: My love of dogs started in 4th grade when my family adopted the best black Labrador ever! We named him Smoky. I fed him and cared for him. He loved to take walks and fetch sticks. I am organized and can follow a written schedule. My daughter has been doing Rover for a couple of years now. She has taught me the ins and outs of caring for pets in another person’s home. She has encouraged me to do this due to my capabilities and love of pets. I am retired. I have flexibility. My business background taught me the organizational skills to mesh together multiple schedules. And I know how to treat your home with respect. I will follow your written instructions. Feeding, medication, brushing, walking, sleeping. If your pet has had a trauma, I need to know about it. Communication is key. If I am at your home on trash day, I will take out the trash. Let me know what day it is. I will collect your mail. Your home will be treated with respect. Non smoking homes only. Your pet will be loved.

“Sheri and her family took wonderful care of Kimber. He went on fun adventures and clearly received a lot of love and attention. I could not be happier to have found such an amazing sitter. 100/10!!!!!! Kimber can't wait to go back.”

“I cannot recommend this wonderful woman enough! Our dog had the best time staying with Natasha and her sweet family. We received photos daily and our dog was always happily playing with children and occasionally with other dogs.

“Jennifer took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She communicated with me every day and sent photos. Before drop off, she called and told me about the environment at her house and asked some questions, which was reassuring. She treated our dog like he was one of her family members. He came home happy and tired, and he made friends with some other pups. We would definitely use Jennifer again as a dogsitter. Thanks!”

“I am so happy that I booked with Peyton! I was thankful that she was able to accommodate my last minute booking. She is very kind and she kept me informed by sending me pictures and updates, which I appreciated. My dogs were very happy and had a good time playing!”

“Nathaniel was a phenomenal caregiver for my big boy, Brock! 🐾❤️ I had to book care for Brock very last minute, and Nathaniel was incredibly compassionate and accommodating to both Brock’s and my needs with such little notice. Brock had a wonderful time and was so graciously cared for. Nathaniel went above and beyond by sending me pictures and videos throughout Brock’s stay, which gave me peace of mind and reassured me that my boy was doing great. I’d also like to highlight Nathaniel’s flexibility and his personal schedule, which worked out perfectly for caring for Brock. 10 out of 10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you so much, Nathaniel, for taking such great care of my boy! 🐶❤️”

“Stephen was fantastic with our pup! He expertly handled her mild separation anxiety with some extra walks and all the love. She had a great time and was almost not ready to leave! He provided great message, photo, and video updates which were greatly appreciated. We would recommend him to any of our friends and family and will 100% use him ourselves in the future!”
