I supervise interactions and take the time to understand each dog’s personality, behavior, and comfort level. Dogs are separated when needed for meals, rest, safety, or simply when they need their own personal space. About: I am a retired military vet i served in the Army for twenty one years. I have cared for dogs my entire life. No matter what size the dog is I can handle them. They call me the dog whisperer. Most times people ask me what did I do to make the dog relax. I have a really soft caring voice, that is very tusting I will care for cats but I don't have as much experience with cats as I do with dogs. I will also care for other animals if needed I also have knowledge to house train puppies. I am fully aware of how to treat a older dogs with medical issues. Bottom line leaving your dog with me is like leaving them with family I work part time. I don't work weekends or holidays. I will have more than enough time with your fur baby. I'm home most days. All day I have a fenced in yard. I also have a doggie door so they will have full access inside and out. I find most dogs really enjoy that

About: I have a lot of knowledge with most exotics as well, I’m happy to help with any bird, turtles/tortoise, fish, snake, any lizard, monkeys, any rodent, rabbit, chicken, horses, pigs, cow, goats and sheep. I’ve taken care of animals my entire life. I also work with The Wildlife Center and do some small animal rehabilitation. I currently have 2 dogs and one fish. I’ve recently fostered 3 tortoises, a senior dog and a bearded dragon. I am able to do some puppy training and very knowledgeable in senior care for dogs and cats. I am currently a stay at home mom and my kids are in school full time. I have my real estate license as well as degree in pharmacology but I’d much rather work with animals at my own pace. About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been caring for pets for friends and family for the past four years, in addition to caring for my own pets throughout my life. My previous dog, a Yorkie, gave me experience caring for a senior pet, including administering eye drops, following medication schedules, and managing a special diet. My current dog, Bella, is a 10-month-old AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy graduate who has taught me plenty about keeping up with energetic young dogs! I also share my home with two friendly, affectionate senior cats, so I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages and temperaments. I work Sunday through Wednesday, so my Thursdays through Saturdays are completely dedicated to your pup! My black Labrador, Bella, and I typically walk 1–2 miles three times a day. On hotter days, we switch to indoor enrichment and training games instead of long walks. Whether your dog loves an adventure or prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to tailor their stay to their individual needs. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only accept dogs that are a good fit for my home and Bella, and I always recommend a meet-and-greet beforehand. Whether I’m boarding, dropping in for a visit, or taking your pup on a walk, I’ll follow their normal routine and tailor my care to their energy level and needs. I’ll also keep you updated with photos so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.

About: I have previously worked in a kennel at an animal hospital for 3 years, years of house sitting services along with pet care provided on Rover. I have had cats and dogs of my own (pitbull mix and beagle mix). My schedule is flexible to be able to provide pet care services. About: Hello there! I absolutely adore animals. I spent 3 years at the SPCA, working directly with the animals and fostering. My friends and I started our own rescue, SFC Virginia Animal Rescue. I know how hard it is to trust your dog is in good hands, and to feel happy, and safe. I love snapping photos and sharing with you all that me and your fur baby do during our visit, (and not afraid to inspect poop to ensure your pet is healthy and report when a concern.) My dogs have been through various trainings and would be happy to share my knowledge while I spend time with your pet. I have over 5 years experience with pets with medical needs varying from administering sub-q fluids to medications to inhalers for the cat-kiddos. My girl has hypo-thyroid and has to take a pill twice a day. With my experience with medically-needy animals I am hyper aware of the smallest changes in behaviors in a short period of time and can offer varying tricks with administering for the ones who aren’t big fans. Side note: I do have travel minute limit, for those east of 95, that is within the time limit if the $5ish toll is taken, otherwise it would take over 30 mins. If you are okay with an additional charge of $6 to cover toll, I will be more than happy to assist! I work from home so I get a lot of quality time with my babies. Where I see opportunities to train, I take advantage. Training is a daily on going activity. My animals eat twice a day on snuffle mats with a kibble and veggie/fruit medley. In short, pet care is part of my routine. When hired to do check-ins I like to spend my first time with the pet observing knowing I’m a stranger and I want to not overwhelm. I will read the vibes and either interact more or keep a distance depending on their body language and how they are reacting to me. I know pets sometimes have a tendency to be more reserved or hesitant to do their normal activities. I try to connect and bond during this time as well with treats (if provided) and positive quiet communication.
