It was our first time using Rover or leaving her with others, I was nervous. Our drop off time was early in the day but they were accommodating. Amy kept me posted on how Cleo was doing and sent pics every day which was unexpected but very much appreciated. Cleo clearly got lots of love from the whole family. I highly recommend Amy and Grant P. (and family.)”

Sent pictures of my dog to me throughout the entire time. Definitely would recommend!!”

“I really appreciate the loving care Laura & her family gave Harvey while we were away for 2 weeks! It was our first time leaving him since adopting him in Nov & it was very important to me that he would be in a nice home that welcomed him as part of the family. That is exactly what Laura provided! She is easy going & a good communicator, responding to all my questions quickly before & during Harvey's stay & sending pictures & notes of Harvey's daily activities. I highly recommend Laura!”

About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve been caring for pets for friends and family for the past four years, in addition to caring for my own pets throughout my life. My previous dog, a Yorkie, gave me experience caring for a senior pet, including administering eye drops, following medication schedules, and managing a special diet. My current dog, Bella, is a 10-month-old AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy graduate who has taught me plenty about keeping up with energetic young dogs! I also share my home with two friendly, affectionate senior cats, so I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages and temperaments. I work Sunday through Wednesday, so my Thursdays through Saturdays are completely dedicated to your pup! My black Labrador, Bella, and I typically walk 1–2 miles three times a day. On hotter days, we switch to indoor enrichment and training games instead of long walks. Whether your dog loves an adventure or prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to tailor their stay to their individual needs. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only accept dogs that are a good fit for my home and Bella, and I always recommend a meet-and-greet beforehand. Whether I’m boarding, dropping in for a visit, or taking your pup on a walk, I’ll follow their normal routine and tailor my care to their energy level and needs. I’ll also keep you updated with photos so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.

About: I've always felt like I identified more with cats, despite my parents being firmly in the "dog people" camp. So when I moved out on my own, I got my own cats, who are both around 6 years old at this point. I've also spent 2+ years volunteering with humane societies and smaller charities to help find cats their fur-ever homes. I'm passionate about cat care and would love to meet your fur baby!
“Karen was prompt with her visits while watching our dog over the weekend! She is very professional with communication and very reliable when caring for our dog. We are excited to use Karen again in the future!!”

“Jessica was a wonderful pet sitter for my cat. When she scheduled the initial visit I was super impressed by all of the excellent questions that she asked to make sure that she could do the best job at caring for my cat. While watching my cat she did a brilliant job of caring for her and helping me feel at ease by sending detailed pictures and videos. Jessica definitely exceeded my expectations by spending extra time with my cat and making her feel comfortable. Jessica's a wonderful pet sitter and I strongly recommend that you use her!”

“Our cat was well taken care of! The photos of all the attention Kassandra gave her was so sweet! That left me feeling very confident our cat was ok while we were gone. Thank you Kassandra!!”

“Rebecca cared for our three cats for about a week and a half, doing drop ins every other day. She was kind and communicative from start to finish, and went above and beyond to keep us and our kitties happy including lots of playtime, topping off food and water, and even watering a plant for us and bringing packages inside. Would book her again for future travel!”

I have a fenced yard and a friendly small dog who would love to keep your fur baby company. If you prefer, I can also crate your dog with ease.

About: As a former teacher and parent, I bring a level of patience, structure, and attentiveness to dog care that closely mirrors what children need to feel safe, supported, and well-guided. I understand how important routine, consistency, and clear boundaries are—not just for behavior, but for overall well-being. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s a part of my daily life. I have hands-on experience with multiple breeds and temperaments, including my own dogs: three Huskies, a Dalmatian, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This has given me a strong understanding of both high-energy and more sensitive breeds, and how to balance activity with proper rest. My home is run as a family-supported, professionally managed boarding environment. My husband, a veteran, is also present and supportive, adding an extra level of attentiveness and reliability to the care your dog receives. What truly sets me apart is the intentional structure I provide. Dogs in my care are guided through a balanced routine that includes play, socialization, rest, and calm time. This helps prevent overstimulation, anxiety, and unsafe behaviors. This type of environment doesn’t just keep dogs safe—it helps them build better habits. Dogs learn to settle, share space appropriately, and become more comfortable around other dogs in a controlled setting. For many dogs, this supports improvements in reactivity, socialization, and overall behavior, helping them become more confident and well-adjusted outside of the home. I strongly believe that dogs thrive when their needs are met through routine, rest, and structure. Just like people, they require downtime and sleep to stay balanced. A consistent schedule helps prevent stress and overstimulation, creating a calmer, happier experience. I have experience caring for dogs with a variety of needs, but I am intentional about ensuring that each dog is a good fit for my environment, so I can maintain a safe, structured, and positive space for every dog in my care. Pet care is my full-time focus, and my daily schedule is built entirely around the dogs in my care. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, scheduled walks, outdoor play, and one-on-one attention. Dogs are cared for on a structured routine that includes activity, feeding, and designated rest periods to keep them balanced and comfortable. I’m able to maintain a calm, organized environment where dogs receive reliable care, attention, and structure every day. I provide care in a structured, well-managed home designed for safety, balance, and low stress. As an owner of 5 dogs, 3 different breeds who are trained, I know what dogs need to thrive, feel loved, and thrive socially. While dogs are treated with love and attention, this is not a free-roam environment. I operate a crate-structured system that allows each dog to rest, reset, and avoid overstimulation while also keeping all dogs safe. In my home: • Dogs are comfortably crate trained • Dogs are crated during rest periods, overnight, and when unsupervised • Dogs are rotated for safe, controlled interaction • Dogs are never left to freely roam together without supervision This setup allows me to safely care for multiple dogs while still providing individual attention and a calm atmosphere. For safety: • Dogs must be non-aggressive toward people and other dogs • No history of biting or unsafe behavior • Dogs must be able to remain calm when confined • Collar or harness is required at all times This environment is best suited for dogs who are used to structure, routine, and boundaries.
“William was great with Church and very attentive throughout the day. He made sure Church was comfortable, safe, and well cared for, and I appreciated the communication and updates. “I can’t say enough great things about Nadia! She took such amazing care of my dog, Mojo, during his first stay that it completely put my mind at ease. From the moment we met her, it was clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. Mojo had such a great experience that what started as a one time stay has now turned into a regular weekly visit. He gets so excited every time we arrive he truly loves Nadia, and that says everything. It’s such a relief knowing he’s not just being watched, but is actually happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She still took him on a full walk even though it was raining hard and toweled him off and hung up his gear to dry which made my life so much easier!”

About: I've been dog sitting since covid; things have changed but not the love for animals. Since my start I've dog sat for a wide varity of dogs. Puppies, oldies, big, small. Some requiring a lot of attention to help distract them, some that just sit by the door waiting for their pawrents to come home. From medications to special diets, specific schedules and give attention if you have the extra time. I will treat your dog as my own! Something you can count on is they will be loved and well taken care of. Pet care is my top priority. Making sure they are fed on time and they get plenty of play time and walks while you are gone. I do currently work but my schedule is constantly changing so I have a lot of freedom to change it as needed. I unfortunately can't accept pets into my home as I don't currently live alone. But I'm more than willing to stay over whenever you need me to.

Your dog won't just be watched; they’ll be active, engaged, and thoroughly spoiled.
About: Hello there! I absolutely adore animals. I spent 3 years at the SPCA, working directly with the animals and fostering. My friends and I started our own rescue, SFC Virginia Animal Rescue. I know how hard it is to trust your dog is in good hands, and to feel happy, and safe. I love snapping photos and sharing with you all that me and your fur baby do during our visit, (and not afraid to inspect poop to ensure your pet is healthy and report when a concern.) My dogs have been through various trainings and would be happy to share my knowledge while I spend time with your pet. I have over 5 years experience with pets with medical needs varying from administering sub-q fluids to medications to inhalers for the cat-kiddos. My girl has hypo-thyroid and has to take a pill twice a day. With my experience with medically-needy animals I am hyper aware of the smallest changes in behaviors in a short period of time and can offer varying tricks with administering for the ones who aren’t big fans. Side note: I do have travel minute limit, for those east of 95, that is within the time limit if the $5ish toll is taken, otherwise it would take over 30 mins. If you are okay with an additional charge of $6 to cover toll, I will be more than happy to assist! I work from home so I get a lot of quality time with my babies. Where I see opportunities to train, I take advantage. Training is a daily on going activity. My animals eat twice a day on snuffle mats with a kibble and veggie/fruit medley. In short, pet care is part of my routine. When hired to do check-ins I like to spend my first time with the pet observing knowing I’m a stranger and I want to not overwhelm. I will read the vibes and either interact more or keep a distance depending on their body language and how they are reacting to me. I know pets sometimes have a tendency to be more reserved or hesitant to do their normal activities. I try to connect and bond during this time as well with treats (if provided) and positive quiet communication.
About: I promise you trust, communication, comfortability, and great care! I love pets! I grew up with a Golden Retriever named Skippy! I now own my beautiful mut mix of Lab, Pit and Blood Hound. His name is Maverick! He's 2 and such a loving, happy dude! I currently dog sit my mom's 3 Boston Terriors whenever she needs to go out of town and have been since I was a teenager. I also take in my best friend's older pit bull, Cookie, and her and Maverick get along wonderfully! There's plenty of space to walk dogs around my apartment community, along with a fenced in tennis court area where they can run free! I work full time AT HOME so I'm flexible just looking to make some extra money I work from home Monday through Friday, and am available most weekends, so I have lots of time and flexibility to care for your doggos! I live in an apartment but it's very dog friendly! I will ensure your dog gets lots of attention and love! I have access to lots of trails, open pet areas, and a fenced in tennis court where they can run free and we can play fetch! My dog is very friendly and has lots of experience around other dogs. I do have a large dog crate if that is required or necessary.
About: I have over a decade of professional pet care experience as well as a lifetime of personal pet care experience. I prefer to work with the elderly or medically complex pets as I know they need special attention, adherence to routines, and a calm environment. I focus on providing fun daycare and boarding for pets that don’t do well in regular boarding facilities and require a more home-like experience. Prices are negotiable after a meet and greet. Please fill out your profile in full before meeting! Incomplete/no profile image profiles will not be given my address. I work from home so I spend a majority of my day with my pets and guest pets. Dogs are given mostly free range inside and allowed outside into the huge fenced yard many times a day. They get playtime with other pets and alone time when needed. Our yard is fenced and our house is doggy proofed to avoid trash cans, toilets, and non-chewable items from being accessed. Dogs are crated when they can’t be supervised.

“Amanda did a fantastic job with Willow. I was impressed with Amanda’s follow up. I received pictures multiple times a day. She understands that Willow is my world. She made sure that I knew that Willow was eating interacting with the other dogs and comfortable where she was. Not only will I rebook with Amanda. I already have.”

“Abby did a wonderful job taking care of my Sammy. She kept us informed of how he was doing. We could enjoy our trip knowing he was in good hands. He was healthy and happy when we picked him. I would highly recommend her”

“Always a good sign when Sven doesn't want to come home. I promise we're nice to him, but he must have loved it there--especially having other dogs to play with.”

“I cannot Thank Dylan & Alex enough for taking care of my dogs for a week and working with me when my trip dates were a bit modified. Every morning I would receive an update with pictures, my dogs were happy when I picked them up . Not to mention their boarding area is always clean , the yard is kept clean , and their home is puppy proofed for those that like to chew. I highly recommend them , I will definitely have my pups return if we are unable to take with us. Maui and Willow send their love !”

“Had a great experience working with Deven and Tyreek! They took great care of our dog and provided excellent daily updates. He looked very happy in all his pics!”

“Lisa is fabulous! She gave my Daisy all of the love and provided plenty of updates throughout the weekend to ease my anxiety. She was super flexible with drop-off and pick-up times and great to work with. Definitely recommend her!”

“Laura was fantastic! She sent updates and pictures everyday. Nellie had the most fun with Laura and her family. I loved how they really adopted Nellie into the family for the week!”

“Lucky and her husband were awesome they took my baby boy at the very last minute. I mean hours before I had to catch a flight. They sent pictures and updates on his eating and play time! I would definitely use their services again! They were very polite and understanding of my delayed flight. As I thought he would my boy didn’t want to leave.”

“I think this was was my 4th time with Kourtney and, even though she had a conflict, she twisted herself like a pretzel to make it work for us. She always sends pictures, is a great communicator, and Tasha is always a happy pup at the end of her stay!”

“First time using Rover for having a dog sitter but she guided me through it. Excellent communication. Having a bigger dog I was nervous to leave him because some people are just afraid/wary of them but she was very understanding and assured me everything would be fine.

“Christine and Nick once again provided excellent care for my dog while we were on a trip. They were flexible with changes in schedule, provided frequent pics and updates about Mae, and are friendly and responsive.”

“I cant say enough good things about Myrna. She took exceptional care of my senior pup and went above and beyond to make him feel safe, comfortable, and loved during his stay. My dog has some incontinence issues and can be very attached to his people. Myrna was incredibly understanding, accomidating, and patient with his special needs. Thank you!”

“Ellysia is the best! My pups had the greatest time with her and her family. Updated daily with pictures and activities. We will definitely be using her again and recommend her hands down.”

“Well, I just want to say they did wonderful with 2 dogs that have never had sitters before. They were so happy when I picked them up I knew they did a wonderful job. Unfortunately, one of my dogs is truly I'll, and they handled it wonderfully. Thanks guys. DOG has a vet appointment tomorrow and hopefully we have better enzyme results today. If not, I know they had great care. Thank you so much! ”

“Aaren and Jordan are absolutely amazing, phenomenal pet sitters! From the moment I left Arya in their care, I knew she was in loving and patient hands. They treated her like family, and that meant everything to me while I was away. Their communication was top-tier—they kept me updated consistently with messages and check-ins, which gave me so much peace of mind. On top of that, they were incredibly flexible and accommodating, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Arya truly found her second home with them, and there’s no doubt they are now her permanent sitters. I appreciate them more than words can express and can’t thank them enough for the love and care they showed my big girl. 💕🐾”

“Wow, just wow! My little Molly girl was so well taken care of by Shannon and her sweet family! I feel so fortunate to have found her and Molly had a great time. Shannon sent frequent updates and photos and when I went to pick up Molly, Shannon gave me two beautiful photos of my little beagle. I will definitely be placing Molly with her again! ?”

If a client 's pet is dog aggressive or the cats are scared of dog, I will not have my service dog interact with them to give comfort and safety for all.
