We were able to bring our pup Bridger over beforehand to meet Heidi and her sweet dog so that we could feel better about it being a good fit before leaving town. About: Hi there! We are Karina and Troy and we would love to give your dog(s) a happy and safe home if you ever need a helping hand! We both work full-time from our home office so we are home all the time (and would be able to 100% home sit), and able to do frequent walks and potty breaks as needed. I (Karina) grew up with 3 dogs, one of which I solely looked after for 14 years. Troy has always had dogs in his life growing up and has always been a go-to dog sitter for friends and family. We have a wonderful pit-lab mix, Harlem, who we love going hiking and running with. Harlem also loves having other furry friends around - he is incredibly friendly, respectful, and loving. We have a spacious house with trails right outside our front door and a dog park 2 minutes away, so we have ample access to dog exercise, fun, and socializing! I currently have three dogs (two bull terriers and a dane/mastiff mix) that I've raised since they were puppies. They are part of the family. Which is a big deal for us as we prefer our dog to keep his training and even improve on it while away from the house. We will hopefully soon be putting a catio on our back porch as well so they can roam outside of the house. 2 of our cats like to go outside, so we got them a stroller and some harness's to take them to the park and adventure! They are loving it! 3 out of our 4 cats are rescues. They were very fragile and reserved in the beginning. Over time they became very comfortable with us and are all so loving and happier now. About: I’ve fostered 5 different dogs from the Humane Society of Utah (3 wks - 2 mo each). I was responsible for feeding, exercising, administering meds, and providing water for the dogs. I volunteered for Second Chance for Homeless Pets, where I cleaned kennels, fed animals, completed simple cleaning tasks, & bathed a dog. I cometed 4 semesters of the vet tech program at Broadview University, where I learned about proper veterinary care, including administering meds, making general health assessments, walking dogs, cleaning kennels/clinic/classrooms, etc. During this time, I completed a preceptorship at Sugarhouse Veterinary Hospital, where I was able to sit in on a surgery. I have my own all natural dog treats and dog shampoo and a defurminator deshedding brush tool. I work from home most days of the week, this helps me be more present with the pets under my care. With me being able to work from home I am able to be more active with the pets under my care. I am able to be more present if they have a feeding schedule or medication. I am able to play with the pets through the day. My time is really flexible and I try my best to accommodate to every pets needs. I have a fenced yard and three pets of my own. Your pets will have lots of company! I am committed to making sure that your and my pets are well, in physical health and the wellbeing.
About: Pets have been a big part of my life since I was small, I understand that they are part of the family and will do my best to treat them as such. i am currently a full time student that does have a part time job and would like to do something that i actually enjoy for once. Pets are our family members and should be treated with love and respect. Safety is also very important and so I will do what I can to keep them safe and have the love and comfort that they require while you are away.

“Our dog sitter (family) had something come up last minute before our 10 day vacation. Heidi stepped in and saved the day. We were able to bring our pup Bridger over beforehand to meet Heidi and her sweet dog so that we could feel better about it being a good fit before leaving town. While we were gone Heidi sent daily updates with pictures and Bridger had a blast making new dog friends. All in all we would definitely use Heidi again!”

They helped ease our minds with lots of pictures and updates on how our needy golden was doing. You can tell they care deeply about their guests and are very active with keeping them healthy and safe! Our dog is a little wild and has never-ending energy, but after pick up he was falling asleep in the car on the 4-minute drive home haha!
