About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

When I bring a pet into my home, it's important that they get along with cats, as I have two who are very friendly and don't interact too much with my/client's dogs. Currently my Husky is staying with my mom in Virginia, so he will not be in the apartment. I want my space to feel as "homey" to them as possible, so whatever is needed to make that happen, I accommodate.
About: I have had dogs growing up ranging from puppy to senior dogs. I have also cared for two Guinea pigs. I am responsible and careful when it comes to caring for animals! I am mostly available on weekends! I work full-time during the week, but I will occasionally accept a drop-in visit on a weeknight. I follow all pet rules and instructions that the client provides me to ensure their health, safety, and care at all times while I am watching them!
