“Dorota and Wayne are the BEST hosts ever!! Ricky loves going to stay with them! They have a HUGE yard where Ricky loves to play. They have wonderful dogs of their own who Ricky loves to play with. They're usually hosting a bunch of other great dogs, so it's always a big doggie party at their place!! They treat Ricky like one of their own, he has the run of their yard, their house, and their bedroom...he feels right at home!! The best part is Dorota sends LOADS of pictures everyday so we can see first hand what a great time Ricky is having when he stays with them!!! They even Facetimed with us!! About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

My goal is always to show up calm, caring, and dependable, and to make sure every pet I look after feels safe and every owner feels at ease while they’re away. Caring for pets fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I enjoy building time into my schedule to walk, check on, and spend time with animals, and I’m flexible enough to adjust around each pet’s needs. I like being consistent, so pet care becomes a steady part of my week that I can commit to fully and responsibly. In a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow all instructions exactly as given so pets stay on their normal routine. I focus on keeping them comfortable with feeding, water, litter or walks, and giving them attention so they feel safe while their owner is away. I also make sure to respect the home and leave everything clean and organized. If pets are in my care at my home, I make sure they are in a calm, safe environment where they can relax, stay on their usual schedule, and feel comfortable and secure.

About: We both have experience living with animals. Mary grew up and lived on a farm with many cats and dogs, as well as worked in a pet store on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts. Nick grew up owning fish, dogs, cats, and a number of hamsters and gerbils. We both love animals and want to make sure they aren't only taken care of, but also happy. We are living on the east side of Providence right now. We can book overnights stays, walks midday, or host for a fun/quiet night. . During those stays we will be able to take care of the animals at all times and accommodate them properly. We both currently work in the city but have flexible times during the day and weekends. We take them on plenty of walks and make sure they get to move throughout the day. Playtime is super important for most animals, not just taking them on a daily walk. We treat out clients animals as if they were our own. Regular/routine feeding times, outdoor activity, and plenty of love and care.
