“Sandy was so accommodating for our dogs stay: from providing us with flexibility regarding drop off and pick up, to caring for and providing updates on our very shy and nervous dog! I felt Noodles was well taken care of and enjoyed his time away from us hanging out with other small dogs. Would book again. Thank you Sandy!!”

“Oh my goodness, I'm pretty sure Hazel had an even better vacation than I did! From the start she was comfortable and snuggly with Paul and Arnel. Their home is warm, relaxed, and attracts good "dog vibes," if that's a thing. I so appreciated the wonderful communication, too-- frequent pictures and sweet observations came my way. As a first time Rover user, I had lots of questions about logistics, communication, etc., and Paul was incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you, Paul and Arnel, for being the best imaginable home away from home for sweet Hazel!”

After work I love taking long walks through the city and I can’t wait to have company if your pet is up for it! Dogs have been a part of my life since I was little and I have always consider them family. Pets are encouraged to snuggle up next to me on the couch while I’m working and in bed for the night. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry companion! I am a work from home gal who is able to take your pet out for frequent potty breaks. I am available for care 7 days a week. I live in an apartment but indoor play and long walks are a specialty of mine. Dogs can expect unlimited cuddles and walks to burn energy.

About: I’m a work from home PhD student with one dog and one cat. I’d love to board or day care your doggo. I will be home with your dog for their entire stay. I’ll treat your dog as my own: giving them frequent potty breaks, a daily long walk, and lots of scritches. My Pom Ellie would love to have a friend who visits! I have several rooms and can separate your dog for meals, if needed. My dog is very much a food-hunter so our home is kept safe from doggies getting in to anything not meant for them. I only sit one dog at a time. You’ll get lots of photos and updates! 🤍 I run a business that is fully online from my home, and I am also a PhD student. So, I am always home and will be with your dog unless I have to run an errand. We take one longer walk per day and have many potty breaks otherwise (every 2-4 hours). Meals will happen on the schedule you describe. I have a Pomeranian here but she can be separated if your dog has special eating needs. Dogs are welcome on all furniture and in bed. Lots of toys around and my Pom will be so happy to have a friend to play with.
“Sheung is a very trustworthy and kind person! Mochi was under great care. He went on an amazing walk under the cherry blossoms, he played outdoors and was no doubt a very happy dog when we picked him up. She’s also located very close to an enclosed dog park so that’s a bonus. Sheung is Number One!”

“Christopher was great! He was very flexible and patient with me when I had an unexpected event come up right before he was supposed to take care of my doggie girl. When he did end up watching her, I know she got lots of love. She has major anxiety issues and he was patient with her and did his best to comfort her. Thanks Christopher!”
“Leah was able to accommodate me last minute when I visited Portland and needed a place for my dog to be for a few hours between hotels. She gave me frequent updates and it felt like I had left Beau with an old friend. Will definitely keep her in mind next time I visit!!”

“For our pup’s first doggy day care, Bryan took good care of him and helped out on short notice. He’s friendly, on time, and gave a full report on drop off. Will definitely book again.”

“Devin was great with my puppy. Found out that my pup has a little bit of separation anxiety, but Devin managed to keep her distracted with walks and play time. Very happy with our experience. Will definitely use her again!”

“I was super anxious leaving my dog with someone that wasn't my parents for the first time and Laura sent me some pictures and updates during their stay that really eased my mind :) It was so nice to have that reassurance! I would 1000% recommend and would hire again! Thanks so much guys!”

“Michael was a lifesaver today on Super short notice (my sitter cancelled last minute) he was very quick to reply, extremely friendly and professional, but best of all.. my dogs absolutely Loved him. I have an English bulldog w anxiety/separation issues and a mix doodle who is shy and full of energy at the same time. When I picked them up both were happy and my bulldog ran back for more scratches and play. That said everything i needed to know.. Will Def be rebooking next time I'm in town. Thank you again Michael!!”

“Storm takes a bit of time to get comfortable in new environments with new people, but she seemed to settle in easily with Gil and Peaches! We are so thankful they are patient with her separation anxiety and welcome her on daycare days!”

About: Certified helicopter dog mom here who will dote on your pet! I've had dogs for the past 16 years, spent time volunteering for endless adoption events and shelter visits, and am Red Cross certified in pet first aid and CPR. Seven years of pro pet care has allowed me to care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, temperaments and ages, from 5lb to 100lb, from babies to seniors. I've also been trusted with many cats and even rats, bunnies and a lizard! I'm always easy to reach and and can't resist a cute pet selfie, so you will get plenty of photo updates of your dog's stay with me! I have a super flexible schedule so feel free to reach out! I am a full-time freelancer, primarily in design and film, with pet care being my secondary gig. I typically make my own schedule and have long periods of open availability interspersed with intensely busy periods. You should know: because I live alone, my dog Teddy comes along on my overnight dog sitting bookings. He is very chill, respectful and easy tempered and I have never had a problem having him in other homes! At my place, I definitely let the pets rule the home and enjoy snoozing on the bed and couch. I do not have a fenced yard, so we will always be on leash for potty breaks in the back courtyard area or full walks. I typically do not do off leash dog parks until I have established trust with your dog, and feel strongly about strict safety rules for females in heat. In your home, I’ll defer to your rules!

“Carlie has been really awesome with dog walking for my pup, Gus, during the work day. Gus is reactive towards other 4-legged creatures, and Carlie has been doing a great job with giving him quality walks while managing their encounters with others. Carlie has also been consistent time-wise and reliable so far.”

“We are so pleased to have connected with Mathew. Jack seems to really like him and he was actually tired after yesterday’s walk! That’s rare. Looking forward to more walks with Mat.”

“Jordan took really good care of our dog. My dog has a missing toe and needs to wear a boot and Jordan was very careful about that before he took him on a nice neighborhood walk.”

About: I've loved animals ever since I was a small kid. I grew up raising 3 rats, 3 cats, and a Great Pyrenees. I have experience walking neighborhood dogs, as well as taking care of hamsters and cats while their owners were on vacation. I currently have no pets due to my building's rules, so I'd take any excuse to help take care of a fluffy creature. Currently working a reduced amount with most of it being from home, so I have a lot of availability to care for your pets. Free/flexible most hours, besides evening on the weekends(and even then, I could potentially work something out with enough time). I enjoy long walks and exercise, and love playing with animals, so I'm your guy if your dog needs a long walk or an hour of nothing but fetch. I grew up walking a stubborn 100+ lb. dog, so I know how to control them if they get a little too excited sometimes.
“Ian was very helpful and flexible in taking care of our dog and adjusted his schedule to help us out as another pet friend joined our family. We will use again in the future.”

“Rebecca was wonderful with our bug, energetic lab and made us both feel immediately at ease. He was thrilled to head off on a walk with her, and she clearly knew how to navigate a giant puppy with ease. We will look forward to having her again.”

About: As an animal lover I have spent over 15 years caring for dogs and other animals for my friends and family! “Frankie loves Dan so much we refer to him now as “Uncle Dan.” We just picked him up from a 3 week vacation and Frankie looked happy, healthy, relaxed and well cared-for. We are a little embarrassed that Frankie decided to eat dirt and then throw up all over Dan’s floor, but Dan took it all in stride and was only worried about how Frankie was feeling. He even spoiled him and cooked him chicken and rice to help his poor tummy!”
“I had a wonderful experience boarding my dog with Amanda and Jaime. Amanda was very communicative and friendly. I appreciated the daily updates and photos. “Bryan is a gem with dogs. The first time Gilly stayed with Bryan, she was nervous and a bit on edge. Bryan calmed her and they ultimately had a successful time together. The second time I dropped Gilly for a long weekend, I was a bit apprehensive about how she’d react to being left again. The moment she saw Bryan, she was THRILLED and strutted away without so much as a glance back. She clearly feels at ease with him, which is so reassuring. Further, he’s extremely kind, responsive, and flexible. We will 1000% be reaching out to Bryan for future dog sitting needs!”

About: I grew up with many pets in my household-I even went to a summer camp for years hosted by the SPCA. For over 25 years now I’ve relied on positive word-of-mouth recommendations to meet new families who trust me with their precious pets- especially since I’m experienced with administering many forms of medication (including intravenously), and prefer to stay at an animals home so they’re more comfortable. I’ve had the pleasure of watching many different breeds, ages, and sizes of dogs and cats, as well as more exotic pets like rats, birds, lizards, hedgehogs, and more. I’m a state certified teacher who loves the company of animals after a long day surrounded by 30+ rambunctious teenagers. I can’t wait to meet your zoo and lavish them with care and love in your absence! As a teacher, I work 8hr days Monday-Friday during the school year. I have a car and I am typically no more than a 30 minute drive from anywhere in the greater Portland area. On weekends and during school vacations I am able to stay at your home during the day if your pets require full-time care or need breaks every few hours. Whatever your pet’s needs are, I am happy to comply- whether it’s special feeding arrangements, medication schedules, or training requirements. For outdoorsy dogs I love putting on some headphones and going on long walks, or trips to the local dog park. For indoor critters I love engaging with them using their favorite toys, or snagging some lazy snuggles on the couch (or bed if they’re allowed). Every creature has their own personality, and I love figuring them out in a calm and patient way so we can develop a mutually enjoyable relationship together. This is very similar to how I engage with students! I prefer staying in the animals’ homes, but if boarding with me is necessary I live in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment without animals or roommates that can accommodate even critters who are not crate trained. Although I don’t have a yard I live in a quiet, residential area that’s great to walk around, PLUS I love taking field trips in my Subaru to different parks or hikes.
“We had a wonderful experience with Madeline and highly recommend her! She took great care of our dog, Jayda, during a stressful time for our family and made the whole process so much easier. Madeline was communicative and sent regular updates with photos, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. It was clear that she took the time to get to know Jayda and made sure she felt comfortable and cared for. We’re so grateful for her kindness and would absolutely trust her again in the future! Thank you so much, Madeline!”
