“Julie and Barry have been watching our little Cadi for a few years now. They give her all the love and care she needs. She's fussy about her food and loves lots of attention. She can be quite needy. They are so patient and loving with her. Cadi loves staying with them. They are the best!”

“Our little senior doxie, Rocky, spent 2 weeks with Barbara and we couldn’t be more happy with how it went! Barbara gave him lots of love and cuddles, and they spent some time watching Dodger baseball together. Rocky can’t wait for the next time he can spend time with Barbara 😊”

“Gabriela was a great sitter for my 11 year old pup Rigo. She was responsive and friendly. She sent pictures of their walks together and made sure to keep me updated. My boy is a bit picky and she went above and beyond getting him to eat. I would request her to watch my pup again in the future!”

“Laura was so amazing!! We left our 4 month old puppy with her and she was extremely accommodating. She communicated with us throughout the whole process and even sent us updates, since our 5 year old son was pretty concerned about leaving his best friend with a stranger. I felt very comforted knowing Sylvie was in great hands. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Paul and Arnel are the best! They took excellent care of Lola and treated her like family, great communication with numerous updates throughout her stay. She definitely seemed to enjoy herself and looked super relaxed despite being somewhat anxious and slow to warm up. It's such a relief to know she's in good hands. She is already looking forward to her next stay.”

“Adrienne was the best! It was our first time leaving our dog for more than 12 days. She sent updates with little clips all pieced together into one video which was so nice to see our dog in action and having so much fun. It gave me such peace of mind to see her so comfortable and to have settled in so fast. Our dog was clearly so well taken care of and taken care of like her own. She even washed our pup’s eye boogers out! She gets so many but I never expect anyone to clean them. Highly recommend Adrienne!!”

“Sarah has watched our pup several times and we could never ask for better care. She is great with sending updates and you can tell how much they care for the pups. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Shari took such good care of our pup! She texted me multiple times a day to let me know how our pup was doing with pictures and videos. Overall Shari was very communicative and always made me feel like our dog was in good hands. We will definitely leave our pup with Shari again! Highly recommend!”

“Lauren was fantastic! She took in Montie at short notice. Kept me updated on her daily activities while I was away. Montie has quite a bit of nervous energy and Lauren handled it like a pro. Lauren is very warm and kind, and I felt at ease leaving Montie with her. I will happily use her services in the future! Thank you so much for taking wonderful care of our wild girl :)”

“Dan took care of my dog for 3 overnights. He is very prompt with communication and sends daily message and photo updates. This was the first time that we’ve left her with someone that was not immediate family. The meet-n-greet, drop-off, and pick-up we’re all on our timing and very convenient. She made a doggy friend while with Dan and that brought comfort to us. We would book with him again.”

“Jenelle was absolutely amazing with my 19 year old kitty. She requires daily meds and Jenelle handle that very well. I loved all the pictures and the check ins. Janelle was also flexible with her schedule when I wanted to add an extra hour for more snuggle time for my elderly kitty. I would highly recommend Jenelle and would not hesitate to book her again this Summer!”

“Ann is a senior cat whisperer!! She took wonderful care of our two senior cats who have many medication needs and eating trickiness. She sent daily updates with pictures and text to let us know how things were going. We felt lucky to have her help and would definitely ask her to watch them again. Thanks ann!!”

“Camille and Shayla were amazing with my cat, and are very lovely people. My cat is very shy towards new people, and they respected his boundaries. He came out of his shell after a few days of them stopping by. I appreciated their detailed reports.”

“Mary took excellent care of out cats while we were away. Her presence was so calming that our cat that usually runs and hides from visitors, eventually stayed in her cat tree upon Mary's arrival, instead of bolting upstairs. We considered it a huge success for our little Tortie Buddy. Mary has great communication, and I appreciate all of the effort she puts into finding our expert hider, and the great pictures she shares each visit.”

“Christopher continues to be my most reliable catsitter. He is communicative, thoughtful, and problem-solving (when my cat seemed anxious, he deduced the likely source and took care of it). I would highly recommend him.”

“Gera was so great! Reliable, thorough and trustworthy. My shy kitty even warmed up to her. I love the updates and photos she sent. I will definitely book her again.”

“John took a late booking to stay with our three cats for the weekend, and we are so pleased that he did! John was communicative in the booking process, scheduled a meet and greet that worked well for our schedule, came prepared, took notes, and immediately spoke cat language, putting us at ease. John gave fun updates, and enjoyed snuggles with our kitties. When we came home our kitties were relaxed and happy, clearly well cared for and attended to. The house was in great shape, respected and cared for. We will call on John again!”

“Raphael was very accommodating and professional. He gave us lots of good info while we were traveling and it was clear our nervous, mature cat was in good hands.”

About: I was a vet tech for 13 years in Vermont. I dealt with all small animals but mostly cats and dogs. I am comfortable with administering medications and injections for both. Sassy cat? No problem, I’m ready for it ♥️

“Alison did a great job taking care of my cats! She's very responsive and easy to communicate with, and my cats loved playing with her. Definitely will be reaching back out for future trips”

“Simon took great care of our pets while we were away, including making sure our senior cat got her medication twice a day and our guinea pigs got fresh hay and water. Simon was respectful of our house and communicated with us very well through as this was our first time using Rover. We highly recommend Simon’s services!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, starting with dogs and cats growing up and continuing into full-time, hands-on care as an adult. In my adult years, I’ve personally owned and cared for multiple dogs, including an English bulldog I adopted at ten months old and supported through her senior years. That included managing daily routines and giving two different heart medications consistently over about two years, which really shaped how I approach patience, structure, and attention to detail. I currently have two labs, along with a senior cat, fish, and a python, so I’m used to different energy levels and care needs in the same home. I also regularly help friends with their dogs and cats when they travel, including both short visits and longer stays. Overall, I’m comfortable with large breeds, senior care, medication routines, and adjusting to each animal’s personality instead of expecting them to fit a single routine. Pet care is something I’ve been making real space for as I step away from the corporate world. After years of structured schedules and constant time pressure, I’m choosing a slower and more intentional rhythm where I can actually be present with what I’m doing. I plan my week so I’m not rushing between things or trying to fit animals into leftover time. When I’m with pets, they have my full attention. That matters to me. This also fits the kind of life I’m trying to build. More time outside, more movement, and work that feels grounded and real instead of being behind a screen all day. I stick closely to whatever routine the owner already has in place because that’s what keeps pets most comfortable. When their people are gone, consistency is everything. In someone’s home, I’m respectful of the space and keep things calm and clean. I pay attention to the basics like doors, feeding, water, leash safety, and medications if they’re needed. I also send updates and photos so you’re not left wondering how things are going. If something feels off with a pet, I notice it and communicate it right away.

“Charlie was great! Our cats and chickens were in great hands, and we received updates throughout. Charlie even picked up a rogue poop from our diva cat. 😂 We will definitely be reaching out again for all pet sitting needs.”

“I’ve used Karly now three times as my cat-sitter while away to take care of my two cats, and just recently, for two weeks while out of the country. She’s great!! She makes sure my two babies are well taken care of - she’s gotten to know both of their personalities and tends to both of their needs (one’s playfulness and the other’s snuggles/pets)! She goes above and beyond and also considers me and the house while gone out of the country (by taking out the trash on trash day for example). She’s also a great communicator and I feel at ease trusting her to take care of both my cats and my home while away!”

“I had booked Catherine for drop in visits to look after my two cats. Typically I would board, but the facilities we use were closed. Catherine is friendly and easy to talk. She followed the instructions that I had left and sent daily updates. I would definitely book again as she had put my cats at ease while my partner and I traveled.”

“Jessica was wonderful with my cat Jack! She was very communicative and willing to go above and beyond. She made sure to send lots of cute photos too! I will definitely have her sit for Jack again - highly recommend!”

“Ava is a gem! Super communicative, flexible, and caring. Very convenient to downtown Portland / Pearl District / Goose Hollow / Nob Hill. She met with me and my pup before our day care booking with her sweet Golden Retriever ‘Lila - I immediately noticed how well cared for and well mannered her pup is, which is in my opinion a very good sign of her care and dedication. Moseley can be anxious with new environments and being away from his people at first, she gave him love and helped him calm into his day with her and took him on a nice walk. Would absolutely book again!”

“Keaton was great! He took care of our 4 month old puppy for an entire day, making sure he had plenty of potty breaks (every hour) and multiple 30 minute walks to get out his energy. Greatly appreciate Keaton's care towards dogs and flexibility to work with our schedules!”

“Chelsea has been awesome with my pups, and they love playing with her dogs as well. Their stay has been great. They’re tuckered out and happy every day I’ve picked them up after daycare 💞”

“Our pup Kya had a great time staying with Allen and his dog! This was Kya's first time staying at someone else's house without us so we were a little nervous, but Allen made Kya feel right at home. He sent us pictures and updates throughout the evening, and she certainly made herself comfortable. We will definitely be leaving Kya with Allen again in the future!”

“Catherine was great with our pup! We were traveling from out of state and needed someone to hang out with our puppy while we attended a soccer game in Portland. “Emily is the best! She took great care of my fur baby with updates and was even super patient with the nervous barking she does when meeting someone new. I really recommend her for great care, where you know there won’t be any worries. My dachshund usually doesn’t eat dinner when meeting someone new or walk well on a leash but she ate her dinner and was walking happily & even napped.”

“Rebecca is the Best. She was a perfect match for my Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I will be booking with her again and hope she is available. She’s knowledgeable and attentive. Thank you Rebecca.”

About: Helping Pets Feel Safe, Seen & Understood Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by everything from chickens and horses to dogs, cats, birds, and even rescued squirrels. Today I share my home with my charismatic black cat, Pippa, and caring for animals continues to be one of the most meaningful parts of my life. My approach is calm, observant, and deeply respectful of each animal's individual personality. Some pets want endless play, some need patience before they'll trust you, and others simply appreciate a quiet companion who understands their routine. Over time I've discovered that one of my greatest strengths is noticing the little things.. changes in behavior, energy, appetite, comfort, or mood that others might overlook. I enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual and adapting my care to what helps them feel safest and happiest. Whether your companion is young and energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, my goal is always the same: to help them feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you're away. You'll receive thoughtful updates, photos, and open communication throughout every visit so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in caring hands. I look forward to meeting both you and your animal companion. 🐾 *Additional services* Over the years, I've developed experience as an animal communicator alongside my work caring for animals. While every visit above includes attentive, compassionate care and careful observation, some families are looking for a deeper level of support and connection with their companion. For those interested, I offer the following optional extended services, designed to complement—not replace—excellent veterinary care and your pet's regular routine. ✨ Animal Communication Session (+$20) Includes an additional 30 minutes solo with your pet (or with both you and your pet if you're home) beyond the scheduled visit. Following our session, you'll receive a detailed email or voice note sharing the observations, impressions, and intuitive insights I experienced during our time together. Many clients enjoy these sessions as a way to better understand their companion's unique personality, preferences, and emotional world. 🌿 End-of-Life Companion Support (+$25) Includes an additional 30-minute consultation with you and your pet alongside your scheduled drop-in visit. This service is designed to offer compassionate support during one of the most difficult chapters of loving an animal. Together we can discuss quality-of-life observations, your pet's changing needs, and any intuitive insights that may help bring greater clarity or peace during the process. While I am not a veterinarian and do not provide medical advice, I am honored to support you and your companion alongside your veterinary team's recommendations. If you're curious about either of these offerings or would like to know whether they're a good fit for your pet, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to answer questions and chat about what would best support you and your animal companion💕 My Current Schedule: I typically work 9a-5p Saturday-Tuesdays, with availability before or after those hours and open anytime Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. There's some flexibility with this schedule too so if there are needs outside what is listed please reach out and we can see if other hours would work too! What to Expect During Our Meet & Greet: My goal is to help your animal companion feel safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you're away. During our meet & greet, I'll take time to get to know both you and your pet. We'll go over their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite toys and activities, medications (if applicable), and any unique quirks or preferences that help them feel happy and secure. I pay close attention to each pet's individual personality and adapt my care accordingly, always meeting them where they are rather than expecting them to adjust to me. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask questions, share any concerns, and help me learn how I can provide the very best care for your companion.

“Teryx loves Karly and her dog Nova. Karly has always been very dependable and gives us pertinent updates on Teryx’s behavior. We trust that she deeply cares for our dog and understands our needs as dog owners, too. We are lucky to have Karly to be around our dog regularly.”

“Jenni is great. She has helped us get our high energy dog out for walks while we are at work. She is patient with our little pup, and he always seems happy on days they walk. She always takes great pictures of our dog, and is very communicative about what is going on with our dog. Would definitely recommend her.”

“I give Ursula 5 stars and this is not something I would do typically this early in the services you guys are providing but my Barney spotted her in my parking lot and I cracked open the window so he could get her scent and bam ! He immediately loved her,no matter who it is Barney will bark at any one coming up my stairs and he did not Bark when Ursula came up AND he whimpered when she left. She updated me every step of the way with multiple pictures and lastly she has gave me peace of mind so i can focus on work .”

About: I am a music teacher and performer with a flexible schedule. I’ve taken care of pets big and small for family and friends. Everything from dogs and cats, to chickens, to hamsters and birds. I am especially fond of big dog breeds like shepherds and Pyrenees! I have experience and am down with everything from house sitting, feeding and checking in on, to walking or taking to the park. I am a music teacher and performer that loves kids and pets! My schedule is flexible and open for check-ins, walks, and house sitting. I have my own pets (dog, cat, chickens) that I love and care for, but I’ve also owned birds, fish, and hamsters. I treat your home and pets with the utmost respect, keeping your space secure by double-checking locks, arming alarms, and maintaining a discreet presence. To ensure your pet’s total safety, I use strict escape-prevention habits when entering, perform regular hazard sweeps for loose items, and meticulously follow all feeding or medication schedules. You will receive frequent photo updates and behavior reports during every visit so you always know they are happy and safe.
“Thank you for being a very caring and super thoughtful dog walker! I trust Jessica to do both cat sitting and dog walking. She is incredibly thoughtful. She noticed a cat was about to vomit on the carpet so she was able to quickly put a towel down to prevent staining and soiling and even offered to clean up a house plant that had been knocked over. I put all my trust into her! Thank you!”

“Best dog walker ever. So grateful my dog has such a caring and wonderful buddy to take her on walks while I’m at work. Highly recommend Alicia, especially for anxious dogs like mine :)”

About: Animals have always been my first love! I grew up in a house with a minimum of 2 big dogs at all times and now have my own golden retriever and pitbull/heeler shelter mix. I’ve volunteered with dogs at the Humane Society, rescued farm animals at a variety of animal sanctuaries, and love animals enough to have gotten a degree in Animal Law. I promise to care for your pets with the same love and kindness I do my own. I work from home and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule so am happy to pop in and check on your pet or get them out for a walk during the work day. Safety and trust is truly the most important thing to me. I’ve used Rover before to find care for my dog and know how scary it can be to trust someone with someone as important as your pet. I’m extremely committed to listening to you and your pet’s needs, asking any follow up questions needed, and communicating with you throughout the whole process.

“Overall, had a really great experience leaving my pup with Araceli! I happened to be gone two weekends in a row and I was really grateful to be able to have my dog in the same place. He really enjoyed playing with their dog and in their big yard! The only bummer is that both weekends I asked Araceli to give my puppy a specific supplement after dinner and that didn’t happen, even after I reminded her for the second weekend. She is very sweet and would work with her again!”

“Tammy took great care of our golden. She texted often to give us updates on how he was doing and we knew he was in good hands. We look forward to working with Tammy again in the future.”

“Elizabeth and Sterling were fantastic. I booked last minute without much time for a meet and greet, and not only did they oblige and still meet same day, they made me feel comfortable leaving my dog with them. And I'm sorry again for the late plane arrival on my return!”
