“Rachel and Henrik (and their two wonderful kids!) watched our two Goldendoodles for the weekend, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. From the start, it was clear this was a perfect fit—we did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and instantly felt comfortable. More importantly, our dogs were treated like part of the family—they got tons of attention, snuggles, and care all weekend. “I left my 4 year old boxer Zeus with Donna for 8 days. It was winter recess & the first time we left him with someone he was not overly familiar with. Donna was friendly and responsive to my text messages so we set up a greet and meet to visit her in person. I noticed she was extremely knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior. I felt Zeus would be in very good hands after our meet and greet and locked the date in. Donna let me know she had a few other dogs she was also watching that week, but knew with her knowledge he would be fine and perhaps beneficial since Zeus loves playing with other dogs. After a week long play date Zeus is now tired but very content . It was nice knowing I could go away and not have to worry about my pup! I will be using Donna again in future. Thank you Donna :)”

About: I have 2.5 years of experience working as a veterinarian assistant for a family-owned and operated animal hospital. Aspects of my job include restraining, handling, medicating, feeding, grooming, bathing, and caring for any pets who may board with us at the hospital. I have comfortably handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, needs, and temperaments, and I am confident in my ability to care for dogs of all life stages. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am never away from home for more than four hours any day of the week, which means plenty of time for potty breaks, playtime, and feedings. I have a fully enclosed, insulated, temperature controlled, spacious gazebo on my property surrounded by a pet-proof fenced-in playpen. The inside is divided into four sections, so I can board up to four dogs no bigger than 40lbs at one time, and each pet will have his or her own space indoors for eating and sleeping. Outside, the pets will be able to interact and play, and they will always be supervised.

“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. Finding someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pet as though they were part of their own family is incredibly rare, and we would trust her with Nessa again in a heartbeat.”

About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Plus, because I fly in and out for work and can't have my own dog right now, caring for other people's dogs is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize every single day. I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages, from senior bull mastiffs to pugs under a year old. There is no dog too big or too small because they’re all perfect to me. I’ve also found lost dogs and helped them return to their owners! I have experience caring for anxious dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with mobility issues, and dogs that require medication. Other animals I’ve taken care of include: cats, parrots, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. Pets are so precious, they’re such an important source of joy in their family’s lives so it’s such a privilege to be trusted with their care!! :) Pet sitting is currently my full time job, so I have lots of time to give your animals the special care and attention they deserve! I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for dogs to run around in. I also have a car so I’m able to take dogs to the dog park or dog beaches nearby (if that’s something they would enjoy). At a client’s house I still follow any guidance/schedule given to me. In between I typically take the dog’s lead. I’m at their house so it’s important to me that I respect their space (and the clients above all)! I like to take their cues to make sure that their sense of routine isn’t disrupted.

Pet care is already part of my daily routine through my work at the Guide Dog Foundation, where I care for dogs on a structured schedule. I’m used to feeding, monitoring health and behavior, and following consistent care routines, so Rover fits naturally into my weekly schedule. I work evenings Wednesday-Sunday from 6pm-10pm. So I’m available during the day. I provide care by following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. I pay close attention to behavior and comfort, and I adjust care based on the pet’s needs.
About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life and have over 15 years of personal experience owning and caring for pets. As a lifelong cat owner who has raised four cats, I know exactly what it takes to keep felines happy, healthy, and comfortable. In addition to my own pets, I have years of experience pet-sitting for neighbors, handling everything from daily walks and feeding schedules to playtime and basic cleanup for dogs of various breeds and sizes. I treat every animal with the same level of love and responsibility as my own. My schedule allows me plenty of flexibility to dedicate high-quality time to your pets. I am available for weekend boarding and house sitting, and my weekdays are wide open for afternoon and evening visits, walks, or check-ins. Because I can manage my time effectively, your pet will never have to wait long for a bathroom break, a fresh meal, or some energetic playtime. Safety is my absolute highest priority when watching a pet. I maintain a highly organized, safe, and clean living space where animals can relax without stress. When caring for pets in your home, I strictly follow all security protocols, ensure doors and gates are fully secured, and strictly adhere to your specific rules regarding crating, feeding, and leash safety during walks. You can expect regular photo updates so you always know your fur baby is safe and thriving.
About: I have grown up with different dogs my entire life. My best friend was a Rottweiler named Sampson and I had him from a pup. I create trained him as well as click trained him to become a good citizen. I have experience with large breeds as well as small. I have cared my many fur babies in this own homes, keeping them happy with conversation, brushing, play time and long walks. I feel that all breeds deserve love regardless of the negativity they may get from others who don't understand the breed. I have owned pitbulls and have found them to be loyal and loving and don't judge any animal. I have experience training my own dogs as well as freinds and family. I'm currently working PT as a home health aid and have flexibility and free time Tuesday through Saturday to walk and hangout with your beloved fur baby. I would come to your home and watch your dog, take them for a walk, snuggle, feed, play, brush and engage them with conversation and provide them love and support.

About: Your dog will become part of our family while staying in our home. Playing in our large fenced yard, snuggles on the sofa, trips to the beach or local Avalon Park trails for long walks! When your dog comes to my house, he/she will become part of our family during their stay. I will follow your instructions, schedule, and routine for your dog while they are with us. Your dog will receive lots of exercise, attention and love. My husband and I are both home full time so your dog will never be alone for more than a couple hours. I have a huge fenced yard for playing. We are located in the beautiful Historic Village of Stony Brook and love walking the dogs to the beach and also Avalon Park trails. We do have an indoor/outdoor cat so your dog must be able to coexist with the cat but they can easily be kept separate. I have many excellent references to share with you, including clients from the Guide Dog Foundation and rescue organizations that I have fostered for. You can set up a free meet and greet at my house. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! I am home full time so your pup will have constant attention! Your pup will have lots of exercise, play time and of course lots of snuggles. I have a fenced yard and supervise your pup at all times. I have plenty of time to play with and care for your pup! If I am not home, my husband or one of my teenage sons will be home so your dog will rarely be left alone. I have a large fenced yard for playing and we will walk in our beautiful neighborhood if that’s part of your dog’s routine. Your dog will be supervised at all times and will have lots of attention!
About: For the majority of my life, I have always had a dog in my possession! So I have always known how far my love and care for animals goes. I have watched my family’s dogs when they went on vacation and I’ve also walked a couple of dogs in my neighborhood. Now, my love and care for animals goes beyond measure. They are family, and should be treated as such! Which is why I plan on making sure I would treat your pets the same way you would if you were there! I will always plan to go above and beyond for your pets. I am not someone who does the bare minimum when it comes to taking care of animals. I love what I do and I have the passion for it. So I plan to do whatever I can to make sure that your pets are treated with the amount of love and care they deserve. I currently have 2 jobs, so I would just have to work with my schedule on what I can do! But it is something I am more than happy to do! Due to my living situation, I am unable to dog sit at my house. However, I would be able to find ways of travel to your home. I would make sure I was there with them for as long as you need, if not more! Plus I wouldn’t mind help getting a couple house things done while there if you needed. Just give me a list of what you want done and how you want it done and I know I’ll be able to help! I also can walk dogs if needed.
