About: I have 2.5 years of experience working as a veterinarian assistant for a family-owned and operated animal hospital. Aspects of my job include restraining, handling, medicating, feeding, grooming, bathing, and caring for any pets who may board with us at the hospital. I have comfortably handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, needs, and temperaments, and I am confident in my ability to care for dogs of all life stages. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am never away from home for more than four hours any day of the week, which means plenty of time for potty breaks, playtime, and feedings. I have a fully enclosed, insulated, temperature controlled, spacious gazebo on my property surrounded by a pet-proof fenced-in playpen. The inside is divided into four sections, so I can board up to four dogs no bigger than 40lbs at one time, and each pet will have his or her own space indoors for eating and sleeping. Outside, the pets will be able to interact and play, and they will always be supervised.

About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Plus, because I fly in and out for work and can't have my own dog right now, caring for other people's dogs is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize every single day.
