About: I have 2.5 years of experience working as a veterinarian assistant for a family-owned and operated animal hospital. Aspects of my job include restraining, handling, medicating, feeding, grooming, bathing, and caring for any pets who may board with us at the hospital. I have comfortably handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, needs, and temperaments, and I am confident in my ability to care for dogs of all life stages. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am never away from home for more than four hours any day of the week, which means plenty of time for potty breaks, playtime, and feedings. I have a fully enclosed, insulated, temperature controlled, spacious gazebo on my property surrounded by a pet-proof fenced-in playpen. The inside is divided into four sections, so I can board up to four dogs no bigger than 40lbs at one time, and each pet will have his or her own space indoors for eating and sleeping. Outside, the pets will be able to interact and play, and they will always be supervised.

About: My background in cat care began in The League for Animal Protection of Huntington, NY in 2007. I volunteered there as an animal care associate, working with a variety of kittens and cats from many different walks of life. All of the cats were rescues, and so special care needed to be provided, with socialization, feeding, and even medication distribution. In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house- and cat-sitting job. After that, I entered the full-time workforce and adopted my first cat and love of my life Avery. Avery has since passed, but my home is now occupied by his feline brothers (in spirit): Handsome and Bubbles. They bring me more joy than I could ever imagine! I've always had a soft spot for cats, and find them to be such a delight, whether they're the affectionate type or even more aloof. About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. About: I have been watching and taking care of friends/family dogs for years and have raised my own since he was a 8 weeks old. I can clip nails, bath give ear/eye treatments if ever needed. I work remotely from home for the most part and would only accept to care if I am home that day. I have a 30 lb Klee Kai mix at home who would accompany your pet on walks/play time and naps. Walks would be about every 2-3 hours for potty breaks. For extra outdoor play time we could go out on the large patio on my floor. Pets are allowed to hang out and nap on couch

“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. As you've probably experienced, most dogs do not love being bathed and groomed, and so I would try my very best to make them comfortable in the unfamiliar situation they were in, taking the time to check in on them frequently and give them lots of reassurance and loving. Patience goes a long way! In January of 2015 I had my first two-month long house and pet sitting job. However, since then I've been working a full time office job and have been unable to enjoy much time with canine companions. I will regularly pet sit for close friends and family, but I'm ready to spend more time around furry friends! I'd love to meet you and your pup and ensure that they're properly taken care of and loved while you're out on the weekend, working, or away on vacation! I work from home, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. Since I’m home often, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods of time, and I can help keep them on their normal schedule so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. For house sitting, I’m also able to bring my work equipment with me, which allows me to stay with your pet while still working remotely and giving them consistent care and companionship. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to keep their routine and environment as normal and comfortable as possible. I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications if needed, crate routines, and any house rules. I always make sure doors, gates, leashes, and fenced areas are secure, and I pay close attention during walks and playtime to keep pets safe. I’m respectful of every client’s home and will treat both your pet and your space with care. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you feel comfortable while you’re away.
About: I have been an animal lover ever since I was a child! I have raised puppies, cared for senior cats and dogs, administered medicines, owned many small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils) and even raised a puppy for the Guide Dog Foundation. In my home they will have a safe room to sleep or stay in if they want quiet or they can mingle around the house. In your home I would follow your instructions as to where they are allowed to be. At my home our yard is only fenced on 3 sides while it is a large space they would be on a lead at all times.

My day revolves around your baby 🥰 • Your dog can be outside as often as they wish (and you allow), whether it’s sniffing in the yard, playing fetch or tug of war, or going on walks • Your dog will be able to go in/out of the house for potty breaks, playtime, or rest any time they like • I always supervise dogs in the backyard at all times, on top of having a full fence, so you never need to worry about your dog eating something unsafe, or pulling a “Houdini” if they have escape artist tendencies 😂 🐕 I have a large, fully-fenced yard filled with toys, interesting smells, and plenty of squirrel and bird watching! 🐕 If your dog enjoys walks or trips to the park, I live on a beautiful and safe low-traffic block and have several dog-friendly parks nearby that we can visit during your pup’s stay, with your permission. 🐕 My dog, Pearl, a 2-year-old mixed breed medium-sized girl, will be overjoyed to keep your pup company, share her many toys, and play play play! She is also happy (and trained) to give your dog space if that is the pup’s preference - I have enough space in my home that dogs can relax separately from one another if they prefer that. 🐕 No need to bring your dog’s bed, we have plenty! The couch is all theirs too! I can also gate off rooms and/or crate your dog at any time if that is what you or your dog needs or prefers. 🐕 A safe environment for your dog is maintained here at all times and is of the utmost importance‼️: —dogs are never left unsupervised —my home is free of choking hazards —play with toys & with other dogs is always carefully monitored —I do not keep any items in the home that are dangerous for a dog to ingest (xylitol, poisonous plants, etc.)
