“If you want your pup to feel like they're at a home away from home - book with Tina. She and her family (two young children who will entertain your dog endlessly) will provide a loving environment with lots of play and attention. I boarded my 7 year old pit mix for several days and he felt right at home immediately. Tina was great sharing photos and videos of Lincoln playing in the fenced in back and taking lots of walks (I think he thought twice about coming back home :)). So happy I found her.”

“My pug Charlie had another wonderful time with Abbie and Peachy. Charlie feels really safe with Abbie even though she is a little anxious and Peachy is a great friend that helps Charlie to stay active and socialized especially in this cold weather. Outstanding hosts!”

“We had a unique situation that lead us to Eric and he was incredibly accommodating. I forgot my dog's bed and he was able to provide one. He took great care of our shepherd and sent us several photos to show us our dog was doing just fine. Eric is a super nice guy to boot! Would highly recommend!”

“AMAZING! Took care of my wonderful puppy, even taught him how to stop scratching people for food. Consistently sent photos and if I ever have to board again I know who's my number 1 pick!”

“Shirley is the best! She is responsible, kind, and very communicative. We appreciated all the photos she shared and took comfort knowing that our puppy was in great hands with Shirley. You can tell that she is a true animal lover. Highly recommended!!”

“I can’t say enough good things about V! It’s always hard leaving Bluey behind, but they made it so much easier by sending regular updates and photos. My dog was clearly happy, well-cared for, and relaxed when I got home. Highly recommend!”

“Wendy took excellent care of my dog. She tailored her care depending on his individual needs. Jasper was calm and happy when I picked him up. What a great experience. Thank you.”

“Julia was terrific! She and Bailey hit it off right away. Got a bunch of pics with Bailey out for a walk, playing with toys and a restful night sleep. Will use Julia again!”

“Karina was amazing from beginning to end. I felt a little skeptical about leaving my fur child with anyone unfamiliar. From texts before the drop off, Karina made me feel comfortable. I received texts, pics and videos of my dog continuously throughout the day to see my dog, adjusting to a new person and environment. I could see my bully taking to Karina very easily which gave me peace of mind while away. Karina was very attentive to my fur baby and making sure that she was her priority while under her care. When I picked up my dog the first thing I asked after expressing my appreciation was, if I ever have to leave my dog with anyone again, can I look you up on Rover and she said yes! I highly recommend anyone leaving your fur child with Karina who is attentive and sensitive to your pet adjusting to new people and surroundings. Amazing pet sitter. 5 stars ⭐️”

“Just an incredible experience. Michelle was a pleasure to have dog sit Hero. She sent tons of pictures and videos and also gave Hero a bath! I would recommend her to anyone. 10/10.”

“Vanessa was absolutely spectacular! She was extremely accommodating when plans changed. She did such a phenomenal job and mu dog had so much fun - he almost didn’t want to leave all of his new friends!!”

“They were great! Lincoln met with them a few days before the stay and was immediately comfortable. There house was very clean and the enclosed backyard was very spacious leaving a lot of room for the dogs to play and secure enough to prevent them from getting out. They sent video and pictures everyday. I would definitely leave my dog with them again in the future.”

“Melissa and family were great with Max. Melissa sent us daily photos and updates about Max. Max spent a total of 6 days and he seemed to do great with them. I felt comfortable leaving Max there and would not hesitate to have Max stay with Melissa again.”

“Michael was great. He took Sal for 2 weeks and that is no easy task. He provided updates and Sal appears to have loved his stay. I would recommend Michael and I will use him again”

“Diane has been a lifesaver! Prompt updates and photos, amazing response time, wonderful service & Luna was very happy! Which is what everyone ultimately needs to know while they are separated from their pet. Diane has been amazing and we will definitely be using her again in the future if needed!”

About: Every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and genuinely cared for—even when you’re away. That’s exactly the kind of care I provide. As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets are family. I share my home with my sweet 6-year-old Cavapoo and my gentle 10-year-old Scottish Fold cat, so I know firsthand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family members. Before joining Rover, I worked at Dogtopia, where I cared for groups of up to 20 dogs at a time. That experience taught me how to understand different personalities, recognize body language, manage dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and ensure every pup feels safe, comfortable, and happy. When I was younger, I babysat and walked dogs for relatives and neighbors. I also know that leaving your pet can be stressful for you, too. That’s why I make communication a priority. You’ll receive regular photo updates, videos, and text messages so you can see your pet enjoying their day and have peace of mind knowing they’re in loving hands. When I care for your pet, my goal is simple: I want them to feel as comfortable, happy, and loved as they do when they’re with you. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged family member and become someone you can count on whenever you need an extra helping hand. I am currently on summer break from college. From September 2026, I will be available to work at any time on Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoon/evenings and Saturday and Sunday. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply quiet companionship, I’ll tailor every visit to their unique personality and routine. I believe every pet deserves individual attention, patience, and lots of affection. That is how I am with my dog Flash and my beautiful cat, Princess Leia. Honestly, no request is too much, my dog and cat both are very particular in their ways.
“I found Michelle here on Rover, and I’m so happy! She spent time with Cleo and Fanta and played with them. They got used to her right away. They like their particular games, but she had her own ideas too and they played easily and had lots of fun. I was able to get to my business as Michelle is quick to assess their needs; feeding, and litter pan care. We had no worries right from the start. Michelle is an excellent care provider. I highly recommend Michelle to care for your pets!”

“Nasimul and Dominique are great with my cats! They send lots of pics and I can tell that the cats are excited when they visit. Highly recommend.”

About: I am a animal lover who has cared for many different animals over my lifetime. From a young age I have owned dogs, cats, birds, and many more! I enjoy being around animals and have taken care of pets both in home and while owners are away! I am a happy soul and would love to meet and care for your pet! I work full time in NYC in and can do walks in the afternoon lunch hour most weekdays. Weekends are always free for more walk and play time. Willing to adjust and accommodate with your schedule! Always willing to do the best care for your pet. If it’s walks outside, playtime inside and everything else, it would be a thrill for me to meet and care for your pet.

“Samantha and Jerry were fantastic. Zara, our cat, was happy and well cared for when we came home. We got great pictures of her being brushed, eating, and drinking throughout their visits. Would 100% recommend.”

She really shows love and respect for animals.”

About: What truly sets me apart is my lifelong, hands-on experience as a devoted pet parent — especially with senior dogs and emotionally sensitive pets. I cared for my beloved senior dog Rocki for 14 years, supporting him through every stage of life, including the extra patience, gentleness, and attentiveness senior dogs need. Today, I share my life with my dog River and also help care for my partner’s 16-year-old senior dog, so I am very comfortable with senior care, slower mobility, routine-based needs, and gentle handling. I’m highly attentive to body language, emotional comfort, and stress signals, which helps me support anxious, sensitive, or aging dogs in a calm and reassuring way. My home provides a safe, structured, and loving environment where dogs can feel secure and relaxed. I’m also patient and consistent with younger dogs, helping reinforce routines, calm behavior, and positive habits through gentle guidance and structure. Every dog in my care is treated like family with safety, emotional awareness, patience, and genuine love. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I structure my days around consistent walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and calm rest periods for my own dog, River, as well as my partner’s senior dog. Because caring for animals is already part of my everyday routine, I’m able to provide dependable, attentive, and structured care for pets staying with me. I prioritize supervision, emotional comfort, and routine so every dog feels safe, relaxed, and cared for throughout the day. In my home, pets are treated like family in a calm, safe, and loving environment. I follow each dog’s normal routine closely, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of rest and comfort. I pay close attention to body language, emotional needs, and stress signals to ensure every dog feels secure and relaxed. My home includes a fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, cozy indoor rest areas, and close supervision throughout the day. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain their pet’s established routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I provide gentle, attentive care, ensure safety, and send regular updates with photos so pet parents always feel reassured while they’re away.

“Eric took such wonderful care of my 7 lb dog, Shelby! Shelby is a small pup who needs a lot of extra love and attention, and Eric made sure she felt safe, cozy, and completely showered with affection the entire time. I was updated regularly and had total peace of mind knowing Shelby was in such gentle, caring hands. It can be so hard to find someone you trust, but Eric went above and beyond. We will definitely be rebooking!”

I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember — fostering puppies and kittens, helping them find loving forever homes, and caring for my own pets over the years. I grew up with a gentle Labrador who will always hold a special place in my heart, and I now have a spirited 6-month-old Miniature Pinscher mix rescue who keeps me on my toes and fills my days with joy. My experience ranges from raising playful puppies and kittens to caring for older dogs and cats, and I understand the patience, attention, and consistency they need. I’ve even traveled multiple times with my own dog between Florida and other states, so I know how to keep pets comfortable and secure in different environments. While I’m new to Rover and don’t yet have reviews, I bring dedication, reliability, and genuine love for animals to every job. If trusted with your pet, I’ll treat them like my own — ensuring they’re safe, happy, and cared for as if you never left. I work from home full-time, which means your pet will get plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. From regular walks and play sessions to cuddle breaks and feeding schedules, I can be there for your furry friend every step of the way. Their comfort and happiness will be part of my daily routine. I have a spacious yard where dogs can enjoy fresh air and playtime, safe for outdoor fun. For exercise, I can also take dogs on leashed walks around the neighborhood or to nearby pet-friendly areas. Inside my home, pets have a comfortable and safe environment with plenty of space to relax, play, and feel at ease. I make sure fresh water is always available, follow their feeding schedule exactly, and give them lots of affection and attention. About: Hi, I'm Bri! I am 28 years old and a registered nurse (for humans). I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I’m considering a career in animal care too! I adopted my first dog and rabbit when I was 9. Then, about 10 years ago, I fostered 2 dogs from a shelter and wound up adopting one of them. I have taken a lot of my neighbours and friends dogs on walks to the park and around the neighbourhood. I have a lot of experience with feeding, playing, cleaning, and walking dogs. Since I’m a nurse, I’m open to medical accommodations as well! Overall, any furbaby deserves eternal love! I'm up for discussion about availability and hours. Please feel free to ask me any questions about references or my services! I’m currently unemployed so my availability is very flexible. Since I have 2 pets of my own, an example of my usual pet routine consists of morning breakfast, walking the dog 3 times a day, playing with my cat throughout the day, and dinner. First things first, safety! I will always assess the well being of your fur baby. I am receptive to body language and when an animal may be feeling uncomfortable. Everyone, including our fur babies, deserves to have their own boundaries respected. This will ensure we are both having a great time (:
About: Hi! I’m an orthodontic assistant and part-time college student working toward becoming an orthodontist. I currently am trying to save up money to pay for dental school. I absolutely love animals, especially dogs and cats, and enjoy spending time with them and learning about their specific quirks and personalities. I’ve walked and cared for dogs before, including a friendly Goldendoodle, and I’m committed to making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Working with children every day has taught me to be patient, attentive, and dependable qualities I bring when caring for pets, too. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, cuddles, or someone to stick to their routine, I’ll treat them with the same care and kindness I would my own. In my free time, I also enjoy baking, and I truly love taking care of others, whether they’re people or pets! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m used to balancing work, school, and responsibilities. I’m available on weekends, have a 7-hour break between classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I’m free in the evenings after 5pm on Fridays. I’m reliable, patient, and happy to work with owners to fit their pet’s routine. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. “Meryn is a great and reliable walker to our dog, who took to Meryn so quickly. We’re grateful to have Meryn helping us with walkings during the week. Super responsive and a great walker!”

“Anna did a great job walking our dog while we were away on vacation. Despite the snow and freezing temperatures, she walked her for the full 30 minutes twice a day every day. She was very flexible when I asked her to pick the dog up at a different location and communicated a bunch of times to update me on how things were going. I highly recommend using Anna.”

“This was my first time booking Melissa and it couldn’t have gone any better! Melissa was an excellent walker for Mocha. She was very communicative and kept me updated on their walks. Ginger loves her. Diane is gentle, patient, and clearly knows how to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. My dog Ginger is skittish and takes and while to warm up to ppl but Diane knew how to work with her. I'm so grateful to have found Diane!”

About: CPDT-KA since 2021, Positive Reinforcement dog trainer since 2019. I’ve had rescue dogs since I was 13. Between experiences with my own rescue dogs, working and volunteering in animal shelters, being lead supervisor at a doggie daycare/boarding facility, pet photography, and several years in the pet retail industry, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and experiences. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of flexibility to help out with your four-legged friend! While my schedule varies from week to week, I always have the time to help you and your dog. I can easily crate dogs if need be, and can give medication to even the pickiest of eaters. I have no issues with getting dogs leashed, including getting them into harnesses or head-halters.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I grew up in a house full of animals—at one point, we had three dogs, two cats, two bunnies, and even a chinchilla! I’ve always felt deeply connected to animals and understand the unique personalities and needs that come with each one. I currently volunteer with the Long Island Rabbit Rescue Group, and in the past, I’ve volunteered at North Shore Animal League and the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter, where I worked with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. These experiences have helped me learn to read animal behavior, approach with patience and kindness, and make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. Though I’m now a bunny mom, I miss being around dogs—which is why I’m on Rover! Whether your pup needs a walk, some playtime, or just a little extra love while you’re away, I’m here to help. I do have a full-time job and mainly do this as a hobby because I genuinely love being around animals! That said, my work schedule is flexible, so I can definitely be available on an as-needed basis to help care for your pet. If you’re able to give me a little advance notice, I can usually move things around to make it work. I’m here because I enjoy it—not as a side hustle—so your pet will get care that comes from the heart. While I don’t offer pet care in my own home due to having rabbits, I’m more than happy to come to your home and care for your pet there! I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well taken care of in their own familiar space.
“Alexis was amazing with our new puppy who is still learning how to walk, not jump, etc. She was always patient and willing to be flexible if our pup wouldn’t walk, playing with him in the yard instead. She is reliable and on time. We highly recommend Alexis!”

“Shirley is the best! She is responsible, kind, and very communicative. We appreciated all the photos she shared and took comfort knowing that our puppy was in great hands with Shirley. You can tell that she is a true animal lover. Highly recommended!!”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Pumpkin and for being so accomadative! Britany was easy to contact, super accommodating, patient and interactive with our dog! Will definitely use her again”

“Dilania is the best sitter we’ve had so far. She is super friendly and her dogs are such delights! Her yard is very big so the dogs had so much space to play and run around. She is also very understanding and took care of Ghost as if he were her own. We will definitely continue to use Dilania as our sitter.”

“Jana is awesome! She is responsive and kept us updated with pictures. We felt comfortable leaving Nori in her care and Nori really seemed to enjoy her stay there as well. We think she was sad to leave lol. Luckily, we already booked again with Jana for another upcoming trip!”

“Vanessa was very flexible with pick up and drop off time and is extremely friendly. She sent a lot of updates throughout my pup's stay with her, so I was never worried or wondering what and/or how he was doing. He was super happy when I left him and was happy at pick up as well. Overall, he looked like he had a ton of fun with the other dogs & with Vanessa. 10/10 experience!”

“I’m grateful to Ilona for taking such good care of our dog—he loved getting to play with other dogs in her incredible backyard, and came home tired and happy.”

“Ruth-Ann took excellent care of Marley who was having some allergy-related issues. I needed to extend his stay on short notice due to unforeseen circumstances and she was more than accommodating. I was not so worried about him as she provided frequent pix and video updates. Highly recommend Ruth-Ann as a sitter!”

“Nancy was great! She made sure our pup was comfortable before his stay and then sent us updates while we were gone. She is very trustworthy. We would definitely have our pup stay with her again.”

“Aritra was very professional, sent great pic of our Finn while we were away and made us feel comfortable that Finn was OK. We would definitely use him again.”
