About: I have 2.5 years of experience working as a veterinarian assistant for a family-owned and operated animal hospital. Aspects of my job include restraining, handling, medicating, feeding, grooming, bathing, and caring for any pets who may board with us at the hospital. I have comfortably handled dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, needs, and temperaments, and I am confident in my ability to care for dogs of all life stages. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am never away from home for more than four hours any day of the week, which means plenty of time for potty breaks, playtime, and feedings. I have a fully enclosed, insulated, temperature controlled, spacious gazebo on my property surrounded by a pet-proof fenced-in playpen. The inside is divided into four sections, so I can board up to four dogs no bigger than 40lbs at one time, and each pet will have his or her own space indoors for eating and sleeping. About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Swimming in our in-ground pool, playing in our large fenced yard, snuggles on the sofa, trips to the beach or local Avalon Park trails for long walks! When your dog comes to my house, he/she will become part of our family during their stay. I will follow your instructions, schedule, and routine for your dog while they are with us. Your dog will receive lots of exercise, attention and love. My husband and I both work from home so your dog will never be alone for more than a few hours. I have a huge fenced yard with in-ground pool (dogs are allowed to swim). We are located in the beautiful Historic Village of Stony Brook and love walking the dogs to the beach and also Avalon Park trails. We do have an indoor/outdoor cat so your dog must be able to coexist with the cat but they can easily be kept separate. I have many excellent references to share with you, including clients from the Guide Dog Foundation and rescue organizations that I have fostered for. You can set up a free meet and greet at my house. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! I am home full time so your pup will have constant attention! Your pup will have lots of exercise, play time and of course lots of snuggles. I have a fenced yard and supervise your pup at all times. I have the ability to make your dog an only dog if necessary. I have plenty of time to play with and care for your pup! If I am not home, my husband is home so your dog will rarely be left alone. I have a large fenced yard for playing and we will walk in our beautiful neighborhood if that’s part of your dog’s routine. Your dog will be supervised at all times and will have lots of attention!

About: I absolutely love animals!! I had a Schnauzer named Loki years ago. I decided I wouldn’t have another puppy, but I’ve been having a blast watching other people’s dogs. It’s kind of like a fun uncle type of situation I’ve been thriving on lately. I have tons of experience watching and handling animals. Since my youth, I’ve been in love with nature. I even became an Eagle Scout! I’m passionate about animals and all life in general. She also kept Rocky separate from her dogs due to him not being used to having to share space with other pups which I appreciated. “You guys Do Not have enough stars to rate Kathryn, she and her husband took such good care of Bailey during the 18 days he stayed with them. When I came back from my vacations Kathryn cried when she said good bye to him. That was very sad but at the same time makes me realize the kind of person she is. I will never leave my dog with anybody else period. Actually I’m going on vacation again in February and I hope she will be available then. Kathryn has two wonderful dogs of her own and they took my dog as another brother and I don’t think he had time to remember he wasn’t in his home.
