“This is two reviews in one for separate visits from Jenna. I have an 18 year old, somewhat active cat who I believe had a stroke almost a year ago. She has traveled with me to 4 states and to China, with countless homes in between, so as you can image she's basically my child. She takes daily medication and her care is my #1 concern. So as you can imagine, traveling for work becomes a challenge and I hate to take her out of her element, having someone come and visit was something I really needed to consider. Since not many people live close by, nor did I want to burden them with having to make a daily trip, I decided to take a chance on this Rover app. I scrolled a little, looked at pictures and some reviews and decided to reach out to Jenna. She looked sweet, compassionate, responsible enough to take care of my little girl, so I invited her over. With such short notice, she arrived the next day (one day before I flew to a meeting), she was on time, articulate, told me she was comfortable giving medication, enthusiastic and took an interest in my cat. Since she told me she could administering medication in our initial interaction, when Jenna arrived I asked her to give Libby her daily pill. I gave a quick explanation on how I give her the pill, and Jenna was able to give her the medication without any issue. As this was my primary concern, it put my mind at ease; I knew she was perfect for me. Over that week, and during a subsequent trip, I received daily updates with pictures and comments on how Libby was doing, how active/inactive she may have been, eating, drinking, and bathroom updates. She played with her, spend time with her which meant the world knowing someone was caring after her and treating her well. I couldn't be more pleased with everything Jenna did. She even went above and beyond and in a pinch ran to my apartment to drop my key off on a day she wasn't coming. Just outstanding! *****”
About: I have a big love for animals, especially dogs! I’ve had a dog, more specifically, a German Shepherd in my life since I was born. I recently moved back to Long Island from Arizona for college so I have a lot of free time lately! About: I've had a family dog all my life and brought home a dog of my own a few years ago. I have previously worked in a store that handled puppies and had them available for purchase and adoption while also working alongside a groomer so I have a background in bathing all different-sized dogs. I also have dog-sat for family and friends over the past few years and loved doing it! “My puppies were so happy to stay with Elaina, and her family. I have a senior dog and a great dane puppy. They were right at home from the initial meet n greet. As soon a I let them off the leash to see if they'd be comfortable, they were doing zoomies in their super big fenced in yard. Elaina's family were all friendly, and communicative throughout the entire stay. I hope Elaina will always available every time I need a sitter because her and her family are my go to's. Highly recommend”

“Rachel and Henrik (and their two wonderful kids!) watched our two Goldendoodles for the weekend, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. From the start, it was clear this was a perfect fit—we did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and instantly felt comfortable. Their home is beautiful, clean, and has a great backyard where our dogs had plenty of space to run and play. More importantly, our dogs were treated like part of the family—they got tons of attention, snuggles, and care all weekend. We also really appreciated the frequent updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. When we dropped them off, our dogs were so excited they ran right in without hesitation—that says everything. You can truly tell how much Rachel and Henrik love dogs and care for them as their own. One of the nicest families we’ve met, and we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were so well cared for. We will absolutely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional dog care.”

“Marina and Denis are great hosts. Oreo stayed with them once before , so he was right at home when we dropped him off. They have a beautiful "doggy proof" home with a large backyard area and custom trails to run through. They are experienced pet sitters, so I am able to leave him there with no worries or doubts. “We needed someone who will take care of my mother-in-law’s Gigi urgently for a few nights. She took us last minute and was very accommodating. There’s a certain kind of conviction when she said we’ll take care of her…and she did! She knows what she’s doing. I like that she updates us daily, responds really fast and event sent photos even without being asked. She’s not just a pro but with excellent customer service. Will definitely recommend her.”

“Veronique and her husband were excellent. They honored our same day request for a meet and greet so that we could feel comfortable booking quickly. During my trip they proactively sent pictures and videos daily and gave daily updates on my dog’s comfort level and activities. They were wonderful to partner with and I’d happily leave my dog in their care again because they made me rest easy on my time away. 10/10 would recommend.”

With special instructions for Mia’s medicine to my hyper playful puppy seeking attention often. Iris sent pictures & videos showing me how happy & content they were! They treated him part of the family right away and he had the time of his life while was away I was so at ease and trusted her with all my heart . “Dimitri is fantastic! Bowie had a wonderful time at "Camp Dimitri" last week while we were away. We had tons of contact, lots of pictures everyday, and our dog obviously looked very happy and well looked after. He has a big backyard with a pool where Bowie was able to hang out outside for hours everyday, so lots of fresh air and exercise! The dog sitter we've used for several years wasn't available, so using Rover was a last minute solution. However, we will absolutely be asking Dimitri to take care of our canine baby from now on!
