About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. About: I’ve been taking care of pets and owning dogs (& cats) since I was 15 . I also took dog training classes in Germany . Over the past years I’ve watched friends and coworkers puppies , family and friends cats and did take in some dogs from military friends for vacation ! Our dogs are super friendly with all other pets ! Cats as well as dogs - all sizes! ( they love smaller dogs as a matter of fact!) Currently I’m a stay at home mom with a 13 month old baby! I offer mostly going for walks for busy dog parents during the day (: If you request boarding: We prefer meeting up with the dogs once or twice before taking them in , to make sure they get along. About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.
About: Well howdy! I have recently moved to the area and I am really excited to have an opportunity to care for the puppers in the Ft. Myers area! I was blessed to have been the fur mama to two beautiful pitties that have now gone to doggie heaven, and my current little rascal is a 15lb terrier/ mini poodle mix. All rescued at different stages (from puppyhood to adults) and all equally loved. I am an expert walker, long hikes are my specialty, and still the reigning champ at a game of catch. I have had pet care experience for all types and breeds from 120lb fur babies to itty bitty tea cup poodles. Despite the fact that most of my personal experience has been with dogs, I think cats are equally adorable! I currently work full, but I love being around my lil pup on my time off. I work 4 days out of the week and I am typically free by mid day, leaving plenty of free time to spend with any available fur babes! I have volunteered at a dog rescue for about 6 years. I now work at an animal rescue that has me trained to give medications. About: I grew up with both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me and remains one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I currently have my own dog, who I adopted as a puppy while I was in college and is now 4 years old. Raising her has given me experience with training, building routines, and understanding different stages of a dog’s development. I’m comfortable administering medication, brushing and bathing, handling anxious behaviors, and keeping pets on their regular care schedules. I also have experience walking dogs that pull and can confidently handle strong or high-energy pups while keeping walks safe and structured. Whether your pet needs active playtime, consistent routines, or gentle care and attention, I’m patient and attentive, and I treat every pet like my own. As a current medical student, I understand the importance of flexibility and prioritizing a pet's needs. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and dependable. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I am excited to learn about your pet's unique personality and am more than happy to accommodate any specific requests. As a medical student, my schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to thoughtfully plan pet care into my daily and weekly routine. While there are periods of time when I am less available, I’m committed to clear communication about my availability and will always work to accommodate your pet’s needs as best as possible. Time management is extremely important to my academic program, and I bring that same organization, dependability, and attention to detail to pet care. I take pride in my work and practice compassionate, attentive care in everything I do. Most importantly, I genuinely love animals and value the trust you place in me to care for them. In my home, I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure. I currently live in an apartment located directly across the street from a dog park with both large and small dog areas, which allows for convenient, safe, and appropriate exercise based on your dog’s size and temperament. The neighborhood is safe and very pet-friendly. I’m attentive to maintaining each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications or special care needs. I make sure pets receive both physical activity and plenty of attention and affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize consistency and respect for your space. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions and maintain your pet’s usual routine to minimize stress. I’m also willing to travel or make special trips if your dog attends daycare, has a preferred park, or enjoys a specific walking route. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and cared for as possible, wherever they are.
“I needed a last minute boarding for my dog on Memorial Day Weekend. I had never used Rover previously but a friend recommended it. At first, I was a little nervous leaving my dog with strangers but didn’t have many other options. I brought my dog to Matthew and Christie’s house to meet them and their dog a day or two prior and was immediately relieved. They have a very pet friendly set up, fenced in yard, and our dogs immediately became friends. While I was out of town, they sent me updates and pictures, responded to all my messages immediately, and made me comfortable knowing my dog was in excellent hands. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs a doggy sitter!”
