About: I’ve owned several types of dogs from small to big since i was a child! I now have my own cat that me and my partner take care after and give so much love to! I have experience of basic necessities such as walking dogs, playing with them, etc I am a full time ABA therapist where my schedule during the week ranges usually from 8 AM - 7:30 PM! I can check on your pets or take them for a walk anytime after that! Weekends are always free other than sundays from 2 PM - 5 PM! I ensure the pet's safety, comfort, and happiness by following the owner's instructions carefully. This includes feeding, walking, playing, and providing any medication as needed. I also maintain a clean environment by tidying up after the pet and respecting the client's home and belongings. I keep the owner updated with regular messages or photos to let them know how their pet is doing.

“Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve lived and cared for cats for my entire life. There was never a time in which there were less than 2 cats in my household but it was usually 3! Most of my cats were ones I’ve had from the time they were 8 weeks old until they were seniors so I have plenty of experience with the needs of cats of all ages. Some of my past cats had health issues which has given me experience in administering medications and accommodating physical disabilities. About: I wanted a dog my whole life but my parents weren't pet people. I finally got my own dog as an adult when I also had two toddlers. It was way more work than I thought it would be, but training my puppy and watching him grow and teaching my kids about caring for a dog was so incredibly fulfilling! I loved learning about training and dog behavior and psychology and learned so much! I love all animals and especially love dogs and would love to share that love with your dog too!! I am a full time stay at home mom so my schedule is very flexible. Two of my kids are in school all day and I have a 2 year old who is home with me all day. I spend most of my time at home, with the occasional outings and errand running. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can fit your dog's schedule easily into mine. I can do potty breaks and walks whenever necessary and I live near a couple parks with dog runs that I like to take my dog to, so I could easily bring your dog as well. Though I am busy with 3 kids, I'm never too busy to love and care for extra pets! I have a fenced yard where your dog can go out for potty breaks. It is not a huge yard, but it is safe with rocks and turf where my dog uses the bathroom. My dog is inside for pretty much the whole day so your dog would be with him inside as well. I do have 3 kids, so your dog needs to be ok with small children, but they have all grown up with a dog and know how to be kind and respectful to dogs.

I have a ukulele and I sing familiar covers, so I’ll mention it now in case the neighbors mention something about it. (I have yet to have a dog howl as I sang, though the huskies were very talkative.) Drop-In: Depending on our discussion during the Meet & Greet, I will swing by your house according to the schedule we’ve set up. I will make sure the water is fresh and the food bowl has plenty of food. (My job is to make sure the animal(s) know they are being cared for and that they don’t have to stress about whether or not they will starve to death - I’m thinking of cats especially here who see the bottom of the food bowl and start to panic. Not on my watch!) Walk: I’ll be at your house at the time(s) we’ve discussed, put on the collar and leash, and set out on the adventure. My habit is to sing as I walk so that any other critter has a chance to get out of sight - a lesson learned by startling a skunk. It is important that I know if the neighborhood is friendly or if folks keep to themselves. Do(es) the dog(s) visit friends on the trail? or should I keep them on their own?

About: I grew up in a house full of animals. As long as I can remember, my family has lived with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, lizards, frogs, snails, salamanders and all manner of wild backyard critters as well to attend. I was raised to respect these animals as well as attend to their needs. I believe love and respect go hand-in-hand, and I love creatures of all shapes and sizes! Since I was old enough to babysit, I was also pet-sitting! I believe that animals are not only our friends and our kindred spirits, but also our duty to care for well. I spent time working as a pet nutritional expert at a store in Austin, TX, and that experience only increased my passion for animals and their well-being. I love to travel, and know that it makes all the difference to leave someone you trust with your critters. My headline includes my vision statement; I endeavor to become a friend to your pet, and while you're away, provide my full presence, my dedicated care, and my joy at being with them. I'm a graduate student at UNM, so my class schedule is mostly afternoons right now. My cat's a rather needy fellow, so he's happiest when I'm home. I make sure to make time to spend with him on weekends, mornings, and evenings, and spend time making up for missed cuddles then. I keep his areas very clean, he drinks only from a fountain, and I keep him to a strict feeding schedule (much to his chagrin and occasional break-in attempts of the food container). My frogs, Gus and Markl, need live food once a week and clean water every day, and I maintain a heat lamp schedule for them as well, as well as regular maintenance to their bioactive terrarium. When my parents are out of town, I take care of our two dogs, Lilo and Clara, and nine chickens. The dogs need to be walked, the chickens need to be fed and their eggbox cleaned, and there's lots to do to make sure everyone is comfortable. Lilo's pretty anxious, and Clara's getting up in years, so I make time in my work schedule to return home midday to check on them if I'm out and about. Depending on your pet's needs, I'm flexible in terms of schedule. :) It's important to me that you are confident in your pets' safety and comfort. I will not take dogs outside without a leash, unless they are in a fenced-in yard, and I don't let cats outside unleashed on principle as I believe this makes them a danger to themselves, other cats, and smaller animals. You can expect photos from me of your pets if you'd like them, and if they let me I'll happily clean out eye-boogers, snuggle with them, and ensure that they have love and companionship during the stressful time you're away.

About: I have given dogs medicine and have experience with taking extra care of old dogs and puppies whose energy is off the roof. I have one huge dog so I’m also not afraid of pit bulls or mastiff’s and am able to fulfill any requests you have. I also have severe dyslexia so sometimes I may misread texts so please excuse any mistakes I make in reading or spelling. I have just started summer and go to unm as a art student so I am constantly having free time especially during the summer as my only plans are on Tuesday for counseling and Sunday’s for church. “Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: I have grown up on a farm and raised many different breed and species of pets. From cats, dogs, birds, cows, horses, chameleons, goats, rabbits, chickens, pigs, sugar gliders, and much more. I will feed them, walk them, make sure they get daily exercise, and play time, as well as seniors if they have any severe joint problems I can help massage and make them feel better.
