“Bob and his wife took very good care of our fur babies. When we picked them up post our trip both seemed content and happy. Desi was lounging on the sofa and Hunter seemed to be happy roaming around his vacation environment. We will definitely use Bob for future Dog Vacations.”
“Deena was so great with our Ludlow! She sent lots of photos and updates, and was very thorough with everything. I knew Ludlow was in great hands and seemed to have a lot of fun playing with Deena’s sweet dog also. Would certainly book again!”

“Loves dogs. Did great with Eddie. We were on vacation and booked a night of boarding so we could go into the city. Figured out what he liked. Great updates throughout the day. Very clean home. I’d board him with her again. Wish she lived closer to us in Ohio.”

“Billy was wonderful with my girl April. She had friends to play with, plenty of cuddle time and walks. Would definitely board her with him in the future. Daily pics helped to see how happy she was.”

“I highly recommend Shelly! She was so amazing with the boys and incredibly accommodating when we had an unexpected change to our plans . We were sent lots of pictures and videos of their stay everyday. My dogs looked so happy and relaxed at her home ! Plus my dogs smelled amazing when I picked them up ! I am so happy we found her !”

“My doggies love their stay at Julie’s! They immediately felt comfortable (and so did I!). Julie is a great communicator and provided updates and photos regularly even for for an overnight visit. Marley and Winnie were happy and tired upon their return home, what more could I want?”

“Sarah is a godsend. We had out-of-town guests coming for a visit and our plans were solidified; our usual sitter had an unexpected engagement, leaving us scrambling to find someone to watch our rescue beagle, Sherlock. Our poor pup had a very rough start and has severe separation anxiety, and since we summer in our condo in Highlands, he cannot be left alone, or he will howl incessantly with his unnerving high shriek of terror (poor boy). We searched on Rover for days, and then we found Sarah. She responded quickly to our inquiry. Yay! Now, I’ve been a customer on Rover for years (with our previous beagle), and Sarah had to be the utmost diligent. She requested proof of shots, she provided a detailed questionnaire for us to fill out before meeting Sherlock and we had a lengthy phone conversation about his needs/habits/schedule, etc. Thorough indeed, which I wholeheartedly appreciate because my pet is one of my favorite family members! Once at Sarah’s house, she was kind, loving, provided Sherlock with toys, a safe space to relax, and sent several updates and photos. She followed my instructions for feeding and bathroom/walking outings. We felt sooooo at ease that we could actually peacefully enjoy time with our guests. I am already planning our next extended outing, due to the diligence, care, professionalism and security Sarah provided. And, unlike some other sitters we’ve experienced, she promptly responds and is a clear communicator. Do not hesitate to leave your beloved pet with Sarah.”

“Carol was the best sitter I could ask for! She is so kind and took care of my puppy so well! This was my first time leaving my puppy with a sitter and she gave me peace of mind with check ins. I knew she was in good hands. I would definitely book with Carol again.”

“Second time leaving our 1 year old golden with them. Definitely trust Paul, very accommodating and alleviated our anxiety of leaving our dog for a few nights. Will definitely use again.”
“Let me start by saying that my dogs have never been away from home, so I left two of them with Michael as a short-term test. (2 nights) Lucy, who weighs about 5 lbs, was just fine—she rolls with the punches. Mac, who weighs about 20 lbs, on the other hand, was more of a challenge. Michael took wonderful care of both, giving Mac the extra attention he needed. Michael handled him with patience and care. I’d trust him with them anytime! I would gladly trust them with Michael again—if he’ll have them!”

“Lorrie watched my two pups for 4 days the second week of April. It was apparent from our initial meeting in March that she really loves animals and that she knows her stuff. Lorrie indicated that her previous career was a veterinary technician for many years, which put my mind at ease. Her home is set up perfectly to attend to the needs of the dogs in her care. The home features a large, fenced in yard which allows dogs to get their outdoor time several times a day. She sent me daily text updates which included photos of my dogs. Being 600 miles away, the daily updates were very much appreciated. When I picked up my pups they were happy, healthy and they both gave her farewell kisses. Nice! I highly recommend Lorrie to anyone considering a pet sitter while you are out of town.”

“Brie absolutely loved her time at Meghan’s place! I got daily updates and great communication and could see how happy and comfortable she was in the photos and videos. We felt relaxed and assured that our dog was in excellent care and being treated as if she was part of the family. Meghan even included a little goodie bag and was sad to see Brie go, they’re really bonded. I absolutely recommend Meghan (and Rob) to care for your baby!”

“Megan and her husband were SO great with our fur-babies. I was so nervous leaving them behind with someone and I felt so reassured that they stayed with Megan. I got pictures and videos and could tell that Stella & Casanova really loved their little vacation. Thanks so much!!!!!!”

“Krystal was a wonderful caregiver to my 12.5yr old frenchie, Honey, who requires oral medication as well as eye drops. Krystal was very responsive during booking and during Honeys stay. Her dog Kilo is chill and he welcomed Honey to his pack for 5 days. I will certainly check with Krystal when Hobsy needs a place to stay.”

“The service Angelica provides is absolutely top notch. Daily photos and a report card! We were totally comfortable knowing our fur babies were in good hands. Thank you!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have pets of my own, so daily care is second nature to me: feeding schedules, potty routines, medications, and knowing when something is off. I have a lot of experience with puppies specifically, including house training, crate training, and reinforcing basic commands so the work you have already put in does not unravel while you are away. I am just as comfortable with shy or high-energy dogs, and I follow whatever routine you have already established rather than imposing my own. I am home most of the day, which means your pet is not waiting hours between check-ins. I build walks and drop-ins around my own pets' routine, so caring for animals is already the rhythm of my day rather than something squeezed in. I keep my bookings limited so each pet gets real attention, and I am flexible on timing for early mornings, midday breaks, and late evening visits. I confirm the schedule with you before the first day and let you know right away if anything needs to shift. In your home, I follow your instructions exactly: same feeding amounts, same doors locked, same spots your pet is and is not allowed. I send photo updates after every visit so you can see how your pet is doing, and I always double-check gates, leashes, and locks before I leave. For walks, I use a secure harness or your preferred equipment and stay on familiar, low-traffic routes. My own home does not have a fenced yard, so dogs are leashed for every potty break and I never leave a dog unattended outside. I also have pets of my own, so I do slow, controlled introductions and give any new dog their own space until everyone is comfortable. I keep water available at all times and know the location of the nearest emergency vet.

“Kamryn is wonderful! Highly recommend. She was prompt, polite and attentive. She provided daily updates, pictures while we were away. She kept all 4 litter boxes clean and food bowls fresh. My two senior cats are not always easy to please, but she won them over! Will be booking her again for our next trip!”

“Max was a great sitter for my cat Snow while I was on vacation. Upon meeting with a Meet and Greet, he was attentive to the needs and ensured questions he had were answered. Given my cat needed oral medication, he asked for a demonstration on how to give him the medication to give him in order to ensure he got it delivered correctly. He was punctual for all agreed on times to visit, friendly, and reached out with any questions as needed. I came home to a very happy cat and would not hesitate to rebook with Max again!”

“Jim was a wonderful fit for us! He came on time everyday, our cats were super friendly with him, he helped with cleaning up the litter and spent time with the cats since we were away for several days. He was very responsive and sent nice updates. I would absolutely trust Jim with watching our cats for future vacations.”

“Kelly has been helping me with my two small dogs, Gigi and Roxie. She is very loving towards them while handling feeding, pee pad cleanup, and whatever else they may need while I am out of town.”

“Donna was thorough and easy to work with. When she came over to get oriented, she took notes & asked good questions. She cared for our cat (who needs a pill daily) while we were away & I knew she was in good hands. Would recommend Donna to friends & would book again!”

“Frances did a fantastic job of caring for our cats while we were on vacation. With 3 Rescues inside and 2 TNR's outside, it's not easy to find someone to take that on. Everything went great and she kept us informed with texts & pics after each visit. She made our vacation so much more enjoyable.”
“While my brother-in-law was in rehab, Christen took very good care of his cat. She was very responsible and accomodating, and fulfilled all our requests. I recommend her very highly.”
“We left our cat with Steve for five nights. We seldomly ever leave our cat who travels with us all around in our camper. Of course we were a little bit nervous, leaving him in a strange city. But, Steve and his wife were amazing! The communication was outstanding and the kitty care was excellent! Steve’s wife works at pet shop and her love of animals was clear. I would not hesitate to leave leave Moby there again. Thank you so much for being such caring people and great pet sitters!”

“Marie was an absolute profesional and made my wife and I at ease while we were out of town. It would usually take me a few times to trust someone with my elderly cat, but Marie made me comfortable right of the bat. I highly recommend her services and will definitely be using her again!”

About: I am a dog mom of 2 awesome dogs. I had a dog that passed away last year who was paralyzed and had required special care for 7 years until she passed away at 13 years old. My pets are my family and I would treat your fur babies the same way. I also have 2 cats who are equally awesome. I am 59 and have had many kinds of breeds in my life that have required special types of care. I have been doing pet care for many years and it’s undoubtedly the most enjoyable job because I get to visit and play with your animals. What can be better than that! I am very responsible and most importantly reliable. Let me lighten your load and give you peace knowing your animals are in good hands. I am retired so I do not have a set schedule so I am available at any time you need. I have a lot of free time and can work around my home schedule easily I would follow whatever instructions you give, respect your home and animals and I am a very responsible pet owner. I would most definitely spend quality time with your pet. Pet care is my only job. I have been doing it for years so I have a super flexible schedule . I am available 7 days a week if my schedule permits . My pets are part of our family and are pretty spoiled. There are 3 people at home and my husband and I both work from home so they get a lot of attention . If I come to your home, I will respect your home, your animals, and I would treat your pet as if they were my own.
“Bella had a great time at Jamie's, running in her nice grassy backyard. I really appreciate that Jamie was able to watch Bella while we went to the beach, and was very flexible about the drop off and pickup. And cute photos and videos are great!”

“Izzy spent a wonderful day with Kathy and her dog Ziggy…..who is such a great boy! I felt so comfortable leaving my girl with them, Kathy is kind, compassionate and knows dogs! Her property is beautiful, safe and secure. We will for sure have more fun times here again. I think Izzy is in love with Ziggy and Kathy! ❤️”

About: Hi there! Although I only recently reactivated this app, caring for dogs is nothing new to me. I’ve been around dogs my entire life and grew up with herding breeds. I raised my beloved Border Collie, Zoey (see Gallery), from puppyhood through adulthood. She has since crossed the 🌈 bridge, but during her life I taught her fun commands like “take a bow” and “play dead.” My goal is to provide dogs of all ages with a fun, safe, clean, and secure environment that is free from hazards—while giving their owners complete peace of mind. ⸻ Today, I own a longhaired male Dachshund named Moose. He loves other dogs, is up to date on his core vaccines, and is currently unneutered. Because of him, I have firsthand experience with the unique care that long-bodied breeds require, including proper handling techniques and back protection. I’ve also cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I am American Red Cross Certified in Dog First Aid 🐾 and have experience caring for medical dogs who require a little extra attention. My prior Border Collie, Zoey, was dog-reactive and medically disabled (she was completely blind in one eye), so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting care to a dog’s individual needs. ⸻ I am home throughout the day and will provide plenty of supervision, attention, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship for your pup. The house sits on a fairly quiet street in close proximity to the Belford Ferry, making it especially convenient for NYC commuters. *********** For clients interested in doggy daycare or boarding, dogs will enjoy a securely fenced backyard for supervised potty breaks and outdoor play, as well as an indoor doggy playpen located on the main living level of the home (see Gallery). The playpen is stocked with a rotating assortment of toys and enrichment activities for your pup to enjoy, and dogs also have access to the adjacent hardwood-floor living area. *********** To help keep all of our furry friends healthy and safe, proof of core vaccinations is required (except for young puppies), and all dogs must be on a flea and tick preventative. Clients are welcome to bring a crate, favorite bed, blanket, or other comfort items from home. Baby gates are installed on the stairs for added safety, and walks may be added to daycare or boarding services for an additional fee. *********** At this time, I accept one client (which can include multiple dogs) at a time, though multiple same-day clients can work if all parties are in agreement. This allows me to provide individualized attention, maintain a calm, low-stress environment, and tailor my care to each dog’s unique needs. I closely supervise all dog interactions and also have partitioned rooms, to easily keep dogs separated when needed (Moose also has a separate space for meals, naps, etc.). At night, your pup will have the playpen all to themselves for a peaceful night’s sleep (or a crate if you prefer). The playpen is also monitored with a baby monitor for an extra layer of safety. ⸻ My goal is to make drop-off as simple and stress-free as possible. If you’d prefer to simply drop off your pup, I’ve got the essentials covered! Of course, you’re always welcome to bring your dog’s own food, crate, favorite blanket, toys, or any comfort items if you’d like. *********** What’s Included with Daycare & Boarding: • Premium name-brand kibble, served with filtered water and dog-friendly bone broth • Quality limited-ingredient treats and chews such as turkey tendons, fish skins, bully sticks, etc. • Supervised outdoor potty breaks and playtime in a securely fenced yard • Indoor enrichment activities, including frozen lick mats and puzzle toys • Access to a variety of toys, blankets, and beds • Daily photo updates for peace of mind 😊 ⸻ I am home during the day; during our initial consult meeting, I will coordinate with you to find pickup and drop-off times that work. 🐾 We can go over any quirks and routines that you like to do for your pup to ease separation anxiety (such as leaving the TV on 😊) to ensure your fur baby feels safe and loved while in my care🐾

“Mary & Aaron and their lovely children are the needle in the haystack! I feel so thankful and grateful that I found them. Cassius is a rescue dog with severe separation anxiety, many behavioral traits and health issues, needs a special diet, is scared of unknown environments, streets, etc....but he is totally happy each time that is going to their house ! They opened the doors of their house and they also open their hearts to Cassius as if he was their own dog... and I really mean it ! Their adorable daughter Allison will wait in the morning for Cassius, when she is off school, full of energy to play, give him treats and do puzzles together, Cassius adores her. This is an extraordinary compassionate and loving family that will take care of your dogs as if they were their own. For the first time since I rescued Cassius, I can plan on traveling, study, go to work and move around worry-free about Cassius being take care. Cassius will continue going on regular basis to their house every week, it was a match made in heaven, Cassius loves them and they love him!”

“Michael was absolutely great with my 2 month old lab. He was accommodating to my last minute day care need, and Beaver definitely enjoyed his time with him as he came home and went right for a nice nap. I will definitely be using him again for my little guy.”

“Jackie B was right on time , friendly and great with My Dog . My dog was anxious and hyper to get out, but Jackie was able to handle it all . She even sent me a pic while on their walk . I would definitely recommend Jackie , and hire her again”
“This was our first time using Rover and Christen. She was great with our dog who seemed to really like her. Christen was knowledgeable and easy going. We will definitely hire her again!”

“First time using Rover. I am very pleased with the care provided by Vick for my two Cavachons Kurt and Kyle. She was very detailed orientated regarding their care and provided a nice long walk while we were out all day. A very kind care giver, the boys had a great time with her. Five star performance!!”

“Marie is such a joy to work with! So communicative, quick to respond, and super accommodating (especially with my early morning requests). I absolutely trust her with my two dogs for the regular feedings/walks, but also in case of emergency! It's obvious she absolutely adores dogs and provides the utmost care and attention! Thank you, Marie!”

“Second time leaving our 1 year old golden with them. Definitely trust Paul, very accommodating and alleviated our anxiety of leaving our dog for a few nights. Will definitely use again.”

“Kathy is truly the best: understanding, patient and calm. A godsend for my anxious dog and our rambunctious puppy. She’s a great communicator throughout the booking and care processes.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for most of my adult life. My wife and I have made a point to adopt large older dogs that tend to be stuck in the shelter system. All dogs are good and deserve to live a fun filled, happy, and loved life. I am also recently pet CPR and first aid certified by The American Red Cross. Im currently working part time three nights during the week so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pups. Having recently lost our beloved Mastiff, I've been craving some pup time. I have a fully fenced in yard and have plenty of room to crate your pups. We recently lost our dog so we are pet free. Being dog people, we welcome your dogs like they were our family.
“What a relief to find Vincent who was able to board our German Shepherd mix while we went away for almost a week. He sent us updates and we were happy our pet wasn’t alone. He was safe and got along with their beautiful lab mix-Scarlett. Thank you Vincent!”

“Christen was awesome with our dog Marty. Very thoughtful and communicative. I know Marty had a great week while staying there. I would gladly ask Christen to help with Marty in the future.”

“Erick was absolutely amazing with my two dogs! I have a fairly lazy dog, and a very high energy lab who just over a year old and she can be a handful! Erick sent me pictures and videos regularly, assuring me that my babies were fine. The resident dogs were super friendly, even snuggling with my two. When I picked them up they seemed like they had made themselves right at home. Erick is fabulous and wonderful people to work with! We will definitely be back.”

“Leaving our beagle Maxine with Stephanie was a great decision for us.. We picked her up a little later than end of day, and Stephanie was flexible enough to accommodate us . Will definitely keep using Stephanie for future dog sitting needs”

“I went on a family vacation and left my older Maltese with Mary and Aaron and he did great. Mary provided updates every day and it looked like he was having fun. He’s older and a little harder to care for but they did everything right. I would highly recommend them to other pet owners. Thank you ?”
