This was our quick test to make sure our dog (and we) could handle the separation for a short period of time, as a bridge to boarding her for a longer stretch of time. “First Impressions Boarding my dog, Lilly, with someone outside the family for the first time made me a little nervous. My granddaughter, who had used Rover before, helped me submit the application and choose a sitter. Even on the way to drop Lilly off, I still felt apprehensive, but that quickly changed when Teresa gave us such a warm welcome and Lilly and I were greeted by Teresa’s three friendly dogs. Although Lilly seemed a bit overwhelmed at first, she soon relaxed after playing in Teresa’s large backyard, and I felt comfortable leaving her there. Updates During Her Stay Teresa reassured me that Lilly would be well cared for and promised to keep me updated. She followed through by sending photos and notes about how Lilly was sleeping, eating, and taking her medicine, which I really appreciated. Pickup and Overall Experience When I picked Lilly up, Teresa told me what a joy she had been to care for. She said Lilly was very sweet, that her daughter had fallen in love with her, and even one of her dogs had taken a liking to her. Teresa also said Lilly would be welcome back anytime. I left feeling grateful for the care Lilly received and would happily trust Teresa with her again.”

I got my first puppy at the age of 5, after around 9 years I ended up moving with a different guardian who didn’t accept pets in the home, but I grew an attachment to animals so at 20 years old I ended up getting my own apartment so that I can have stable place for my dog and I! About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet caregiver with years of hands-on animal care experience, including working as a veterinary technician assistant and previous long-term work on Rover. I’ve been caring for pets since I was 12 and understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. My background in veterinary care has helped me become comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, noticing signs that something may be wrong, and providing attentive care for pets of all ages — from playful puppies and kittens to seniors who need a little extra patience. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-ins, daycare, boarding, or house sitting, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where they feel loved while you’re away. I do own a cat as well, but he is very good around other animals and is very sweet. I always try to make pet care feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible for both pets and their owners. When caring for pets in their home, I like to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible — sticking to their usual feeding schedule, walks, playtime, medications, and whatever little habits make them feel safe. For pets staying in my home, I provide a calm, clean environment where they can relax, get plenty of attention, and feel like part of the family. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, whether they’re outgoing and playful or more shy and need extra patience. My experience as a veterinary technician assistant has helped me feel confident caring for pets with different needs and recognizing when something may be off. My goal is always for your pet to feel loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.
