About: I've always loved all animals since I was a kid but have a special affinity for dogs and cats. I lost my sweet pup, Ewan, in 2019 to Hemangiocarcoma (a blood cancer) and to this day I still mourn him and can feel his presence in my life. I also lost my dear cat, Figaro, last year to natural old age causes. I'm a very good dog and cat dad and miss them terribly. In the past few years, so many friends and family have asked me to pet sit their fur babies and they always remark that they know their dog or cat is in the best possible hands with me. That they can actually relax on their trip because of how responsible and devoted I am to their pets and how much their pets adore me. Everyone has been encouraging me to sign up for Rover and now I'm finally doing it! I honestly believe Ewan and Figaro guided me here in their own way to spend time with your beloved kiddos. I look forward to getting to meet you and your pets! I work remotely from home as a story consultant and my longest sessions are around 2 hours, so I have most of the day to hang out with your fur baby! If your pet is staying at my place, they'll most likely hang out with me in the large loft area where I work. So they won't be left alone (unless they're the type that needs their space!) The minute they tell me they need to go out for a walk or really just need attention, I'm all theirs. If they're used to taking naps or sleeping on the bed at night, that also is fine by me! :) If I'm at your place, of course I'll abide by your exact rules for them. I follow instructions well and provide plenty of photo updates so you can relax and know your fur baby is in good hands!

They made their home so cozy and welcoming for my dogs, who are big couch potatoes, that they felt pretty secure in a new place. Lucas and Katherine are a great couple who genuinely seem to love dogs and they sent me daily updates and photos. About: I've always loved cats and finally adopted my own kitty, Figaro, from a rescue, in 2008. He had a true royal presence, a huge personality and I miss him dearly. He passed last year and since then I've had the pleasure of cat-sitting for friends and family and have so loved my time with all of them. I let cats come to me, I don't force the relationship. I understand they need their space and time to suss me out. Then within a day or two they almost always start to ask for my attention and by the third day, even the most aloof are cuddling next to me or on my lap. I’ve been pet sitting for about 10 years and have experience with all kinds of animals, from feisty felines and shy shelter pups to horses, chickens, bearded dragons, donkeys, etc. I am experienced with unfriendly dogs and cats, elderly dogs, and puppies that are still learning good behavior. I keep my home tidy since I’m used to being around many animals at once. For baths, I either use my tub or the laundry sink basin for my own dog. About: Love dogs and would love a chance to play with yours! Used to be an athlete in college and definitely willing to run around to tire out your dog. Also I live close to a dog park and lots of great trails to walk on. My apartment is dog friendly and will be able to walk around my area at night as well without any issues. I currently have one dog, a toy poodle and a cat. Both are very friendly, although the toy poodle just wants to cuddle all day and the cat just wants to eat nonstop. The toy poodle Mocha, enjoys playing with dogs and people. My cat is also very friendly. I’m available to pet sit before 8a and after 5p on weekdays. If needed, I may be able to stop by midday on weekdays. On weekends, I am available all day. I will clean up after your pet and try to take in any mail/packages. I will also try to take out any trash from cat litter or food cans while you are away.

“I believe my pups had the most comfortable and wonderful stay at Katherine and Lucas’s! They made their home so cozy and welcoming for my dogs, who are big couch potatoes, that they felt pretty secure in a new place. Not to mention their one family (of dogs!) at a time policy which works great for anxious dogs like mine who are insecure around other dogs. Lucas and Katherine are a great couple who genuinely seem to love dogs and they sent me daily updates and photos. After a few not so stellar experience with other sitters on this app, I feel like I’ve found the perfect caregivers for my fur babies! Highly recommend!”

“Had a 5 day vacation and couldn’t really find anybody last minute to watch my dog for me. I discovered rover and came across Jose’s profile, we connected very easy and he was able to assist watching my dog for me. Jose’s services are great he communicates very well and he kept me updated each day with photos and videos of my dog and i can tell by looking at the photos and videos my dog really enjoyed himself. he enjoyed himself so much that he seemed so sad when we were in the car pulling off from jose’s house after pickup. Jose has his own pets as well which my dog got along exceptionally well with ,if you have pets and want to work on their socializing skills i definitely recommend you guys board or let your dog spend a day with jose . I most definitely will be bringing my pup back to Jose next vacation and i recommend you guys do you as well you will not be disappointed i promise!!”
