I have worked with animal rescues as a foster for dogs as well! As for cats, I have fostered nearly 50 kittens and adult cats, and have experience with special needs cats! I also have experience with animals such as rabbits, lizards, fish, guinea pigs/hamsters. I currently have no form of employment and can spare most of my time for pet-care. I am willing to do overnights, drop-ins, and playtime or dog walks! I cannot do boarding as I have animals of my own and avoiding a potential problem is the priority. My pets are well-cared for and since they all came from rescues, their specific needs are taken into account. The cats have their own separate litter boxes, the dogs get plenty of playtime and sunshine. As for a client’s home, I will make sure that their pets are loved as if they are my own and I will keep the home clean if any accidents occur. Important information such as diets, recommended outside time, and general schedules for the animals will be taken into account and treated very seriously.

Every pet needs a different relationship approach, and different play styles! There are some pets who just want to cuddle, ones who need specific play-styles to be interested, and others who need someone up to the task of frizbee-ing the Tasmanian Devil out of them! I know personally one of my cats only wants to lazily swat at one specific toy he keeps losing, and the other wants to run and leap around for 20 minutes straight. “OMG! Alyssa and Marcus were amazing!!! It was Sam's first time being away from home. I was super nervous because he can get a little anxious and I didn't know how he would adjust to being away from home. We thought about it over some time and Alyssa and Marcus were able to accomodate our plans last minute. Before the reservation was even finalized, they were so helpful and reassuring. They kept me updated throughout his stay with so many pictures and reassurances. It really put my mind at ease. Sam had such a good time with Zara, Alyssa, and Marcus...I think he was upset he had to leave! I can't imagine sending him anywhere else. I definitely weill be booking with them again.”

About: I’ve owned and cared for cats, dogs, fish, rodents and reptiles for more than 45 years. I would be happy to share the love with your furry (or otherwise) family members too. I currently have a sheepadoodle that loves other dogs and people, so he would love to have a playmate to come and take walks and spend time with us. I currently work from home so I have plenty of freedom to spoil all the pets in my care. I do look after my 3 year old grandson sometimes so getting along with children would be an important quality if your pet should come to stay with me. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly sheepadoodle that gets along with both dogs and cats. We love to go on walks too.

“Donte boarded my senior German Shepherd for 5 days including Christmas Day. She was well cared for, receiving her medications twice a day to manage her hip arthritis and pain from IVDD. She came home rested and without any signs of over exertion, which can be difficult to manage while other dogs are boarded. My only concern was that I had become used to Rover hires providing a daily update; I had not explicitly asked for this and Donte sent one unprompted update (on Christmas), but he was very quick to respond when I reached out to check in on her. He also offered an important observation at pick up about the length of my dogs back toenails, indicating careful attention to the dog’s wellbeing.”
