Considering being in Europe and so far away, I was very nervous leaving Taz for so long in the care of a stranger. I now know Lexi was the right person to take care of Taz and will request her service in the future. Lexi sent photos with every visit. She went above and beyond IMO. She gave Taz his meds, she brushed Taz, she contacted me and sent photos when he got a hot spot. I asked her to use the anti itch/ fungal spray I have and put a cone/collar on him to help prevent further irritation. She even brought my garbage can in and did a special mail check for me. About: Ive taken care of dogs for my friends and family since college and until recently, had an amazing little Maltese named Sawyer for 14 wonderful years. After his passing earlier this year, I have had 3 different housesitting jobs for my friends which has shown me how much I miss having an animal companion, but I am just not ready to get another one. The max number of dogs that I have ever watched was four but depending on temperament, I could be comfortable with more. By working from home, I’m able to care for dogs in my home or travel to your home, depending on your preference. My typical work schedule is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and because I work remotely, I have plenty of flexibility throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and, of course, lots of cuddles. I’m happiest when I’m curled up with a good book and a fur baby nearby. My experience with pet sitting has primarily been with families whose pets are not crate trained, so I’m very comfortable with pets having access to furniture and sleeping in the bed. The animals in my life have always been treated as part of the family, and I’m comfortable accommodating different routines and personalities. I have experience caring for dogs who are graze eaters as well as dogs who follow a specific feeding schedule. Before he passed, my little guy was taking several medications, so I’m also comfortable administering medications and keeping up with specific timing and routines. I live in a ranch-style townhouse with a yard, although it is not fenced in. Because of this, I would always follow the owner’s instructions regarding outdoor time and would not allow a pet outside unattended.

About: I grew up on a farm with all sorts of animals. I have had indoor pets for over 30 years and currently my family and I have two cats. I can even take care of smaller pets like hamsters, guinea pigs and lizards. However, spiders need not apply! 🙂 I currently work until 2: 30 p.m. But I have flexibility to go check on pets, I can also do evening runs and or house sitting as needed! my preference would be to check on your pets in your home, but can provide care in my home.
