“Deborah was the perfect sitter for our dog MaryAnn while we were away for 12 days overseas. We loved that Deborah had a big fenced in back yard, worked from home, and only took on one dog at a time. It helped recreate our dog’s typical experience at home. Deborah was quick to respond to our booking inquiry and was happy to set up a meet and greet in which she took many notes. Deborah clearly had a lot of dog experience on and off Rover and she was confident she and MaryAnn would get on well. Deborah would send us frequent updates and even handled MaryAnns tummy issues. She was also great about administering MaryAnn’s medications and heartworm pill as instructed. When we picked MaryAnn up she was clearly exhausted from spending lots of time playing out and she definitely seemed extremely happy and comfortable on Deborah’s home. About: I had dogs growing up and got our own rescue dog 6 years ago. I prefer older dogs who like a quiet home. I understand dogs that every dog has their own quirks and embrace that. I work from home so am always around minus trips to the gym or errands. Morning breakfast, several potty breaks. Dinner at anytime that suits the pup. I have a 10 year old grumpy rat terrier/chi mix. He seems scary at first but once we can sniff another dog he calms down and coexists with other calm dogs just fine.

About: I have worked in the animal field for a very long time I have worked with boarding animals as well as playing with daycare dogs, I have 2 shepherds of my own! I used to foster puppies and kittens and loved it! I got my pet-sitting start with greyhounds — basically giant cats that can hit 40 mph and then lounge for 20 hours straight. If there's a dog bed, a couch, or a sunny patch of floor, these couch potatoes will find it! I love working with all breeds and sizes, from small dogs to big mixed breeds. It's through greyhounds that I first learned every pet has its own personality; even within one breed, and I pay attention to what each one actually needs. Walks or sprints (within fences of course), cozy downtime, and feeding and dietary needs — raw diets, allergies, or just keeping mealtime on schedule — are all part of the care. I always keep a close eye on leash handling. Sighthounds especially can sometimes get distracted by everything from a rustling leaf to a squirrel three yards away. Since every dog pulls, weaves, or settles differently, I read each one and adapt. When I'm not on pet duty, I'm an artist and researcher. About: My Love & Experience With Cats 🐱❤️ I got my first cat, Lilikoi, about 10 years ago—even though I was allergic at the time! After six months of sneezing and itchy eyes, I somehow outgrew my allergy. It was completely worth it. 😂 Lilikoi showed me the incredible bond you can have with a cat—the trust, eye contact, affection, and quiet companionship. Since then, I’ve realized just how special cats are and how often their personalities are misunderstood. I’ve cared for cats of all ages and personalities, from bottle-feeding rescued kittens to caring for elderly cats with special needs. I’ve also cared for multiple cats at once, including Wally, a 17-year-old cat with an autoimmune condition who needed medication and extra attention. About: I raised my Shih Tzu from 3 months up until I lost him to kidney disease on 9/11/2024. I walked him on a regular basis except rainy days (he hated getting wet lol), he was potty trained and free to roam the house while I was not home. Everyone ( family, friends, neighbors) knew how much I loved and cared for him. When he was in his last days from kidney failure, I stayed by his side until the end. I kept his routine the same. I pushed him in his stroller when he could not walk anymore. Administered him an IV daily to keep him hydrated when he barely ate and drank. I laid with him and held him until he let me know it was time for him to go to that Rainbow Bridge. As a newly retired person, I have plenty of time to give your furry friend(s) all the love, walks, and attention they need and deserve. Whether in my home or a clients, I provide a comfortable environment with meals, walks, playtime and companionship. I follow their routines as instructed to keep them happy and comfortable.
About: I am retired, have trained and shown dogs for over fifty years, live in a condo with one sheltie and one cat. I like to sit ONE dog at a time so it can have special one on one attention. Special arrangements can be made with two dogs that are from the same family. My floors are tile and I sterilize them between visits. I do NOT have a fenced yard but we have a 20 x 80 fenced dog run right outside my back door and we walk every two to three hours and once during the night. Since I am retired, I can be with your dog 24/7 with small exceptions. The dogs are allowed on the furniture and in the bed. I do insist that dogs be house trained and crate trained since we feed in crates or crate them if I have to be away. If you want personal care and attention for your dog, we would love to supply that service. We do NOT do meet and greets. We find that those brief encounters simply put stress on my dogs and yours. I take about an hour when a dog has arrived to acclimate him safely and comfortably. I only care for small dogs, under 30 pounds, and no puppies. Since I am retired, my schedule is pretty much staying around the house. There are no children and things are pretty quiet most of the time. About: I worked for Petsmart's dog salon for 4 years so I know dogs of all shapes, ages and size! I am active and can run or walk your dog. I had two senior dog, who both passed. ( 14 and 16) I am not ready in my heart to have another pup join our family, but would love to give yours extra attention and care. I’ve also cared for goats, chickens, lizards, fish, and birds. Since my husband works from home and our children are a bit older, I have free time during the day to help you make sure your pets are healthy and happy while you are away. I know how difficult it can be to fit in all the responsibilities of owning a pet. I'd enjoy the chance to ease some of the burden. I’m starting school in the Spring and would like something fun to fill my days between school drop off and pick or. I also just love having extra pets to love! I’m very open to caring for pets in their home and our home if it’s a good fit. My father lives with us and can’t risk a fall with a dog who jumps on people.

“Deborah was the perfect sitter for our dog MaryAnn while we were away for 12 days overseas. We loved that Deborah had a big fenced in back yard, worked from home, and only took on one dog at a time. It helped recreate our dog’s typical experience at home. Deborah was quick to respond to our booking inquiry and was happy to set up a meet and greet in which she took many notes. Deborah clearly had a lot of dog experience on and off Rover and she was confident she and MaryAnn would get on well. Deborah would send us frequent updates and even handled MaryAnns tummy issues. She was also great about administering MaryAnn’s medications and heartworm pill as instructed. When we picked MaryAnn up she was clearly exhausted from spending lots of time playing out and she definitely seemed extremely happy and comfortable on Deborah’s home. Highly recommend Deborah for your boarding experience!”
