“Sarah was a fabulous sitter. My puppy was very happy and well cared for by Sarah and her boys. She came home worn out. Sarah was very flexible with pick up and drop off and sent photos during my puppy’s stay. I will definitely be using her next time I need a dog sitter. She is a very kind soul.”

“As always, Macho LOVES staying at his home away from home. One month is the longest amount of time we had to be gone from him and it made it so much easier knowing he was with Ashley, Jon and their family. We appreciate knowing he is loved and cared for when we can't be with him!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was really nervous leaving Henry with someone I didn’t know. Thank goodness I found Gabrielle. From the very first conversation she put all my concerns at ease. My main request was to love Henry and treat him like her own. Everyday she sent me pictures and. Videos of Henry running and playing in her backyard with her pups. Henry literally had a smile on his face in all of the pictures. Gabrielle made everything so easy and worry free. I never had to ask about Henry because she was on top of giving me updates. Henry had so much fun he slept for two days after leaving her house. Henry and I can’t wait to use Gabrielle again. I highly recommend!!”

“Natalie was great! She answered all of my questions about dropping my dog off ahead of time. She was very inviting and sent pictures and updates throughout my dog’s stay. It was a joy working with Natalie, and we would definitely use her again to watch our dog.”

“Olivia was wonderful and took such great care of Laci. She accepted the booking request pretty last minute and was very accommodating. She sent photos and a video of my dog and I felt very comfortable leaving Laci in her care. I would definitely recommend her and would use her again in the future. Laci had a great time!”

“Opie doesn't like being from home. But he must have had a good time because he hadn't pouted or acted out since being home. Thank you for taking good care of h8m.”

“I recently used Rebecca's services for my multipoo while we were away for a week. Rebecca said he did well even though he took over all her dogs toys and spot on the sofa! She's in a good location for walks and I would definitely use her again.”

“Carey was the absolute best dog sitter I could ever ask for!! She was so so helpful and patient and made me feel so at ease taking care of my high-energy German Shepherd, Lady. It’s always a bit nerve-racking to leave your dog with someone new, and especially so when your dog is a handful like my Lady! But Carey truly went above and beyond my expectations, and even when Lady had some frustrating anxiety issues, Carey took care of it without complaint, which seriously meant the world to me. She also sent me lots of photos every day and kept me super updated!! Book Carey for your next dog sitter and you will be so glad you did!!”

“Jenn and her son were lovely hosts to my mini golden doodle. Jenn was very kind and friendly. Jenn very clearly cares a lot for animals! She gave my pup lots of attention and sent frequent photos and videos. 10/10. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Scout our Australian Shepard/English Setter who is 1 1/2 yrs old had a Great time with Steven, Brittany and family. He also enjoyed the companion of the other dog being Boarded there this weekend. They followed the routine we use at home as far as staying off furniture unless on my lap and giving him his blanket and chewey toy and a milkbone after his last potty break for the night. He enjoyed the walks and all the attention he recieved. We loved the pictures and updates each day we were gone. I have all ready booked another visit in Oct. when we have to travel to PA. This is a Great Rover.com family boarding home.”

“This was our second stay with Jordan, and I realized I never left a review after the first one. However, I definitely should have! As a first time Rover user, in fact the first time ever leaving my 9-year old pup with a stranger, I was incredibly nervous about leaving my dog with someone new. Jordan completely exceeded my expectations. He sent thoughtful updates throughout the stay with a plethora of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind, and it was obvious that my dog was being loved and well cared for. Not only is Jordan amazing, but his family is so kind and welcoming. You can truly tell they care about the dogs they watch and treat them like part of the family. Knowing my pup was safe, happy, and surrounded by so much love made all the difference. I can't thank Jordan enough for taking such great care of my dog, Lily. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative, I highly recommend booking with him. We'll definitely be back!”

“Danielle was fantastic. She communicated fast, I’m glad she was available for our last minute trip. She took such great care of Whiskey, he had a wonderful time. Will definitely book with her again 🤍”

“Andrew and Erin, I’ve been the best pet sitters we could ask for! Our little multi-Pooh, Chloe, absolutely loves them, and has a great time with them! They are very communicative, kind and send lots of pictures and updates. It makes leaving her so much easier knowing that she’s having a great time while I’m gone.”

“Jerry was amazing and took excellent care of Raya. He even celebrated her first birthday with a pup cup and doggy cookies! I very much appreciated the updates and pictures of how she was doing. Highly recommend Jerry!”

“Excellent communication and took good care of Ellie--sent pictures and it looked liked Taylor's son was getting along with Ellie--Taylor said his daughter also loved Ellie. Using again--next time for a week.”

“We felt that Rosie was in great hands while in Allie’s care. Very accommodating with drop off and pick up. Great communication. Will definitely be using Allie’s services again!”

“Sarah was great with our 3 kitties! She was prompt in her communications, sent pics during her visits and let me know of questions/concerns she had (such as when a cat vomited and when one didn’t eat lunch). I definitely would have her care for my crew again!”

“We’ve lived in several different states and have had a lot of pet sitters in our home. Skylar ranks at the top of that list. She was on time every day, sent updates and lots of pictures of our dog having the very best time, and is a genuinely kind person who loved our eccentric dog like her own. She gets extra praise for being one of the only people outside of our family who has been able to get our stubborn lab to wear her harness for walks and take her pills! We will definitely book Skylar again, I felt like our dog missed her when we came home!”

About: My parents had two cats from before I was born. They lived till I was about 14 and allowed me to become very familiar with having a cat as a pet. One was also particularly feisty so I also know how to deal with cats that are a little more on the scratchy side. Overall, I'm a big cat person and would love to watch over any paws thrown my way!

“Beanie was well taken care of while I was away. Stephanie kept me updated and I knew he was in great hands! I will recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate sitter who goes above and beyond for your pet/family member!”

About: I have years of experience taking care of our own cats and dogs (we only have one dog now), as well our friend's animals when needed. I have just returned to working from home so I will be home a lot throughout the day to take care of your animals! I will be available all days of the week as well. I have a medium sized dog that would love to play with yours and he is also good with cats. I also have a large fenced in yard so there is plenty of room to play outside.
“I rebooked with Olivia and she was amazing again! She gave my cat Leo lots of love and kept his litter box and food area clean! She is great at communicating, will definitely be rebooking with her again!”

“Natalie came by to check up on our 2 cats who are normally very shy, but they opened up to her immediately & was comfortable with her from the beginning of her first visit! I would recommend Natalie to anyone with fur babies, she’s the best!”

About: I grew up in a household with a dog and have since lived with two other dogs including a senior golden retriever and currently a vizsla puppy! I have worked at a kennel for two years working in both boarding and daycare for dogs! Cats are not my area of expertise but I am willing to work with them!:) I just recently graduated from NC State and am figuring out what is next for me, so I am pretty flexible!! I do serve and attend church on Sunday mornings from 8:30-12 but around this times, I am mostly free! I also do photography but typically in 30 min to an hour long sessions and can easily work around those as well! I care for pets with love and gentleness! I love to play and/or snuggle so whatever they're up for, I'm ready for it! However I can best make them comfortable, I will accommodate in order to achieve!
About: I provide reliable drop-in visits and energy-burning dog walks for pet owners who want peace of mind while they're away. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, fresh water, feeding, playtime, companionship, or a long walk to work off extra energy, I'm committed to making sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy. I have personally owned and cared for dogs for more than 22 years and understand that every pet has unique needs, personalities, and routines. Through years of hands-on experience, I've learned how important consistency, patience, exercise, and positive interactions are to a dog's overall well-being. I genuinely love dogs and treat every pet in my care with the same attention and affection I give my own. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet's specific routine and care instructions. During visits, I can provide exercise, playtime, feeding, fresh water, medication administration (if needed and instructions are provided), and plenty of love and attention. For walks, I enjoy giving dogs the physical activity and mental stimulation they need to stay healthy and content. I work full-time but have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide drop-in visits and walks during available hours. I believe pets deserve quality one-on-one attention, and I make every effort to ensure they receive the time, care, and exercise they need. My goal is to help you feel confident knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I currently work from home so if your needs are during the week I can do 2 drop in’s or walk during the week. I can do anytime on the weekends. I currently have a dog that doesn’t always do well with other dogs. He has never bitten anyone but I’m not sure how he would react with another dog in the house.

“Kristin did a such a great job with our cats! She made us feel so much better about having to leave them for a trip. She’s very communicative and reliable, I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve been a dog lover since I was a child. I’ve had many years of experience taking care of my own dogs from feeding, bathing, and walking them to dog sitting and overnight care for my family and friends fur babies. I am currently involved in senior dog rescue. I’m very passionate about rescuing dogs and finding them their forever homes. I’ve had training in administering medications and have experience with my own pup’s medical needs. I adopted my Chihuahua mix, Trooper, from a senior pet rescue. He’s my sweet companion and side kick. I’ve been a dog mom to breeds of all sizes and temperaments from a large Sheepdog to a tiny Toy Poodle. I am currently working part-time from home and have lots of time to play with your pups! I am available for drop-in and walks on short notice if needed. Your pup will have a caring, loving and experienced dog mom to provide for exercise, potty breaks and lots of fresh air. I’ll tailor your pup’s activities and experiences to any specific likes and needs that they have.
“Gabrielle dropped in on my dog Doc. I had just rescued Doc and was worried about how he would do home alone and I wasn't sure about his personality yet. I needed someone to drop in on him who was knowledgeable enough about dogs to be cautious with my new baby. Gabrielle did just that! She stopped in played with Doc and gave him so much love. She took a lot of pictures and videos of him and let me know how he was doing. She followed my directions and was respectful of my home. Now that I have had Doc for a couple of months he has shown his wild side! As a shelter pup, he didn't have much training and there were days when I felt frustrated with his behavior. I eventually reached out to Gabrielle for advice and I'm so glad I did. She was very responsive and gave me great tips and tricks that really helped! Since then, Gabrielle has continued to drop in on Doc. She helped Doc get used to walking on a leash and taught him his first commands. He knows sit, down, place, and is working on wait! Gabrielle is truly amazing and I can't recommend her enough.”

About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available, they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots, heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed
“Julia is the BEST!! She took amazing care of my pup, who needed meds regularly and to be watched closely from a recent surgery. I couldn’t have asked for better care and my baby comes home so incredibly happy!! Thank you Julia, you will be Romos home away from home forever!”
About: Hi! I’m Emma — dog mom of 3, lifelong dog lover, and small-dog boarding specialist in Wilmington, NC. I have three friendly small dogs of my own (Cavaliers + a Cocker Spaniel), so your pup will always have built-in friends, supervised playtime, and a home-based environment instead of an overcrowded kennel. Taking care of dogs is just part of my everyday life! I work from home, so I’m with my dogs pretty much all day. We keep a regular routine of potty breaks, playtime, and light training throughout the day. On weekends, we love to switch things up with a hike, a beach stroll, or grabbing a pup cup at our favorite coffee spot. Whether it’s a chill day at home or an adventure, I’m always focused on making sure the dogs in my care are happy, safe, and well-loved. Located in a safe, quiet Scotts Hill neighborhood with a fully fenced backyard for playtime. I only board 1-2 dogs at a time, so your pup will always get personal attention and care. They have the option to have their own cozy suite or stay in the same room as our resident pups, both with comfy bedding, toys, and all the essentials. Please note all pets are crated when unsupervised and overnight. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog feels right at home!

I have experience walking dogs, feeding them, bathing them, cuddling with them, and so much more. I absolutely love dogs and spending my time with them :) I work from home during the school year (Aug-May) so I’m available for drop ins, walks, and house sitting after school hours (4pm-late)! I am very flexible with hours and days. For boarding and doggy day care, I work from home 9am-4pm M-F. I see clients in person 4:30-6:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. For doggy daycare my hours are 8am-4pm. if you are unable to pick your dog up before 4:00, then they can be crated during 4-6:30pm. Or, I can drop them off by 4. Weekends I do not work so drop offs at 8am and pick ups are flexible. I can provide play time with my dog inside the home and outside in my yard. They will be supervised at all times by myself or my spouse. They can be let out hourly or more. Can go to the dog park in my neighborhood right behind my house during my lunch break and when I get off at 4. must be friendly with other dogs because my dog will be present! during the summer I only work 1 day/week so very open! I will not allow dogs out without a leash if there’s no fence, and I will always listen to an owners instructions on how to best care for their fur babies. in my home, I have a fenced in backyard. I do not leave dogs home alone unless they are in a crate or kennel. There is a neighborhood dog park right behind my house ( that is typically empty ) that our dogs can play in as well.
“Shannon was awesome! This was my first time using Rover. Oscar is a new rescue and has a few quirks to work out. I was a little unsure how he would do. Shannon was very reassuring throughout the day and he came home a happy and tired pup!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life. Since I moved to North Carolina I have fostered over 10 rescue pups, ranging in age from puppies to seniors. I have experience with puppies and all kinds of dog breeds. My first dog of my own was a 10 year old senior pup named Eddie that I rescued from a shelter in Tucson. He was my soul dog and we had many wonderful years of adventures together. Having used Rover I know what it’s like to be worried about leaving your dog behind. I’m a major dog lover and will take great care of your pup! I live in a house with a fenced in yard and know of lots of areas for walks and fun. In 2024, I adopted a lab/shepherd mix puppy named Finnegan! He loves to play! In December 2025 we added our rescue collie mix, Claire. I work for a children’s nonprofit from home so I’ll be able to spend lots of time with your pup. Feel free to ask me any questions! I work from home so my schedule is very flexible and I can easily be ready for potty breaks or walk breaks for high energy pups! I am a big believer of pets being allowed on furniture so I don’t mind if they climb on mine, but if you want to keep them following a certain rule I’m happy to oblige.

I can also offer to help with anxiety, trauma and or sibling rivalry at no extra cost.

About: I've been a pet sitter since I was 10 years old. I have worked both with a professional company and with my self-run business. I am on the veterinarian track and am looking for more experience. I'm a college student with classes twice a week. I have free day availability Mon, Wed, Fri. On these days, I have flexible availability due to having online classes. I am respectful of house and pet rules. Your pet will be safely cared for as instructed and kept within the boundaries set by the owner.
“I was very nervous about not coming home to take my puppy out during lunch but Andrea has been amazing! She takes my baby out for a walk and plays with her when I can’t be there. She even brought her a new teething toy. I couldn’t recommend Andrea enough!”

About: I've taken care of dogs for the past 7 plus years. I have two dogs of my own and do have neighbors who have had pets. I have experience walking them, feeding them playing with them and keeping them safe. I take my time with dogs and understand if they are scared. I do have a rescue myself and I understand what it takes to gain their trust and train them. I'm currently a undergrad student at UNC Chapel Hill. I am currently looking to dog sit/walk dogs within the community to help pay off my college loans. I am in class until 8:50 am MoFri, 3pm Wed and 12pm TueThur. I have two cute dogs at home, Ginger and Teddy and I tend to them when at home. We have a fenced in yard and they enjoy their 2-3 walks a day. I typically feed my dogs twice a day, in the morning and then during dinner time, they graze throughout the day. I love spending quality time with them, especially playing with them! Both my dogs have gone through training so I completely understand the training process as well.
“Banjo absolutely loves and waits for Nicole to open the door and take him on a walk. He knows her name before she ever comes which tells me that he’s very excited about the treatment that she does in making him feel comfortable on his walks. what a peaceful feeling for a dog owner to know that their dog is that well taken care of.”

About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. I’m also qualified to train emotional support animals, which has been so rewarding. I chose this as a career path because of how much I genuinely love all living things. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the best care they could ask for! I own my own business, so I make my own schedule. I can tend to whatever schedule best suits the animals. I don’t have pets of my own, so that gives me even more flexibility. I always make sure I’m doing my best to care for animals, in any aspect of my life or career. I’m diligent in making sure their feeding, walking and play schedules are upheld promptly, and that their routines stay relatively in tact. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I work as a trainer, which means I’m happy to add on training sessions with your pet while they’re in my care, through my business if that’s something of interest. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.
About: I have been training dogs for 35 years and boarding for the same! Ready to expand and open my doors to new friends and their pets I have a set up at my house perfect for boarding and training, I am available any time and any day, willing to work around my clients schedules as needed! My backyard features multiple fenced in dog areas that each is equipped to suit their individual needs. I also have air conditioned rooms for when they come inside into their crates, as well as a dedicated place to wash them.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 14. I’ve watched families, neighbors, coworkers, and friends dogs/cats. I’ve always had a love for animals. I enjoy cuddling, playing and going for walks with them. They truly are man’s best friend. I currently work full a job where I schedule my own hours so I’m available anytime to check on your pets. I tend to go for a walk in the morning/evening so if your dogs like exercise we would get along great! I live in a home that allows lots of room for them to play ball or tug a war. Dogs/cats are allowed on my bed or couch if that is the life they are used to. If not I will respect that and have comfy dog beds or rugs they can lay on. If your animal feels most safe in a crate I will crate them when I leave or at night. I will be sure to create a safe environment that your pet is accustomed too!

They are very communicative, kind and send lots of pictures and updates. It makes leaving her so much easier knowing that she’s having a great time while I’m gone.”

“We felt that Rosie was in great hands while in Allie’s care. Very accommodating with drop off and pick up. Great communication. Will definitely be using Allie’s services again!”
