“My dog stayed with Sue-Ling, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She took such wonderful care of my dog. Kind, patient, and really attentive to her needs. It was clear from the start that Sue-Ling truly loves animals and treats them like her own. There was a small health issue while I was away, but Sue-Ling handled everything calmly and responsibly. She kept me updated right away and made sure my dog was comfortable and safe. I felt completely reassured knowing she was in such good hands. I’m really grateful for the care and attention Sue-Ling gave to my dog, and I would absolutely trust her to look after her again anytime. She’s amazing!”

“We had a last minute business trip and had to quickly find accommodations for our 6 month old puppy. Having never used a Rover we were VERY anxious and scared. We messaged several people and have still not received a response from some, but Andrea responded in less than an hour and was ready to help us out. Trooper is now home and exhausted from a weekend of fun and we were so grateful to her for taking such good care of our baby.”

“We love Haley and her sweet gentle little girl. They took great care of our Chi Chi. This was our 1st time using Rover and we were a little nervous. We will never be nervous again as long as Haley is available. Special points for her large backyard. Lots of room for pups to play.”

“Donna and Calvin were fantastic hosts! I knew my older Pomeranian was in great hands and I didn’t have to worry about him while I was away. Donna sent regular pictures and updates. He went on daily walks, and was given special attention with food because he doesn’t eat right away like other dogs. I highly recommend Donna and Calvin!”

“Polly loves her time with Tasha and her wonderful family. She likes playing in the big, fenced-in, back yard and playing with other pups and humans during her stay. I love getting the frequent updates and pictures while I am away. I know Polly is taken well care of and loved by Tasha and her family. I recommend 100%.”

“Hilary took such great care of our girl! Sadie has a lot of quirks and takes time to warm up and Hilary was patient and understanding. I had a lot of peace of mind while we were away on our trip knowing she was well taken care of!”

About: For the past four years, I’ve been managing life with Piper, my anxious Chihuahua mix, and Tux, my blind cat who navigates like he has sonar. They’ve taught me how to keep pets calm, confident, and on a solid routine no matter what challenges they have. I’m a college student and veteran, so my schedule is pretty flexible when I’m not in class. I’m usually available for walks, drop‑ins, or sitting throughout the week, and I plan my study time around pet care. I keep a steady routine with my own pets, and it’s easy for me to fit in extra visits or longer stays when needed. I focus on creating a calm, safe space for every pet. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and pay attention to small behavior changes. In a client’s home, I use gentle handling, clear communication, and maintain a predictable environment so pets feel secure and supported.
“Siika was a wonderful sitter for our cat Marley! We needed her last-minute, and during a major holiday week, so she really came through! We got updates and photos from her daily, and she spent some extra time playing with Marley knowing we had just recently lost our other cat and this would be her first time solo. Everything was tidy when we got home, and Marley seemed happy and very well taken care of. We are so appreciative and would highly recommend Siika!”

About: Hailing from an animal loving family, I've taken care of both dogs and cats since I was a very young child. I've worked with small and large, young and old, male and female, loud ones, quiet ones lol, playful, not so playful haha. I have one current furchild and best child, Sunny, who is very friendly and outgoing with all walks of life. I'm a freelance photographer with a flexible schedule. During the summer I work some local farmers markets but most of the time I am home hanging with Sunny, going on an adventure with him, or doing a photo shoot either in my home studio or on location in the area. Bonus, I can take a professional photo of your baby in my home studio! I have a huge fenced in backyard perfect for zoomies and playing and my neighborhood, in general, is extremely dog friendly with plenty of walking trails. With your consent, I'm also happy to take your pup to the beach, for a pup cup, to the dog park, or any other suitable adventure. I have two large crates if needed and treats, toys, and balls galore.
About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. While I don't currently have pets at my apartment where I'll be pet sitting, my family has five dogs, so I'm very familiar with caring for multiple dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I volunteered with a local animal rescue throughout all four years of high school, where I cared for dogs of all ages and temperaments by walking, feeding, socializing, and helping them feel safe and comfortable while they waited to find their forever homes. During that time, I also served as a foster, providing temporary homes for rescue dogs and helping them adjust to a loving environment. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to build trust with animals. In college, I served as the Treasurer for UNCW's Service Dog Training and Education Program (STEP) for two years. While I'm not a professional dog trainer, my involvement with the organization gave me valuable experience working alongside service dogs and handlers. I'm happy to reinforce basic training, good manners, and routines while your pet is in my care. One thing that sets me apart is that I work from home, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. They'll rarely be left alone, and I'll be able to stick closely to their normal routine, whether that means regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company. I understand that every pet is unique, and my goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. I'll care for your pet as if they were one of my own and will always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy complete peace of mind. Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and supervised care throughout the day. Your pet won't be left alone for long periods, and I can easily accommodate their normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and at ease. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide morning, afternoon, and evening care. Whether your pet needs an active day filled with walks and play or simply a calm, cozy environment with lots of love and attention, I'm happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special instructions so I can provide care that's as close to home as possible. Because I work from home, I'll be with your pet for most of the day to provide supervision, companionship, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment where your pet will have a safe, calm environment to relax and feel at home. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member, and I'll treat your pet with the same love and attention I'd give my own.
“Steven and his family did a fantastic job caring for my pup! Walks, play and he even gave him a bath after a long day of play. Steven was very cordial, prompt and sent some pics throughout the day!”

About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available, they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots, heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed
“Allie was wonderful! She has a great set up complete with fenced backyard and swimming pool. I loved that the pups in her care were closely monitored and friendly to my energetic, playful pup! I highly recommend and have my next visit booked already. Thanks, Allie!”

“Jessica & Kevin were fantastic! My dog came home super tired after playing with their dog all day. I Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my pup. 10 out of 10 recommended and will definitely be using again.”

“We just met Katie and she did great with my big loud boys! They took to her very well and she was great about letting them come to her on their terms. Such a relief! Looking forward to regular walks with her!”

“Millie did such a great job walking my rescue silver lab, Belle. She took the time to get to know Belle during the meet and greet and asked really good questions. When walking Belle, she arrived on time, communicated well, and was able to redirect Belle, who often struggles to stay calm when other dogs are nearby. I highly recommend her and willing be using her services again!”

About: I had two rambunctious but precious dogs growing up, so I'm not put off by a tough exterior. I know a mean bark does not equal a mean soul. I've dog, cat, and house sat for friends and teachers in the past, and most recently I've been volunteering at Addie Catz Sanctuary, so I'm well accustomed to cleaning messes, navigating reactive animals, and loving on pets. I'm more than happy to answer any questions :) I have obligations from 10am-12pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, but otherwise I'm completely available until college classes start on August 19th, when my hours will be cut back every weekday morning (busy from 9am-12pm). I don't mind early morning walks and feeding. I'll be asking a lot of questions to ensure my care is tailored to your pet's needs, and to build your trust in my capabilities. I'm more than happy to learn the kennels, feeding systems, and "flow" of animal care in your own home to avoid the unnecessary stress and change for pets that comes with boarding.
“Megan was so wonderful! She had great communication and followed all of my instructions carefully. She was so awesome for her walks with my dog. Will definitely be using her and recommending her in the future!”

About: I have had pets all my life growing up on a farm ranging from Guinea pigs to horses. I have trained hunting dogs for most of my childhood from puppies to senior. I previously worked as a pet sitter every summer. I have experience accommodating for dogs with illnesses, medications, or disabilities. I work remotely so I’m present and available throughout the day. Typically, I take my dog for a 20 min walk 3 times a day. With additional backyard time throwing the ball, training, or relaxing. I love my dog unconditionally and all I want is for pets to have long, happy, and healthy lives. I adopted our dog when he was 3 weeks old and have been through all the ups and downs of puppy care. I actively research healthy pet food brands and chews to ensure my dog is not consuming anything harmful. I keep a clean house so nothing is left on the ground or anywhere my dog can reach it. I have an active, outdoor lifestyle so exercise is built into our routines. My dog has me wrapped around his paw and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

About: I have grown up with animals and have been pet sitting since my early high school years! As an adult, I grew up and adopted two fur babies who have become my whole world - 6 yr old and 3 yr old. When it comes to pet care, I treat every pup like my very own. They are the very best the world has to offer! I walk my own pups early every morning and evening (times very much depend on the heat during summer). We get lots of activity, zoomies runs and toy time! I basically work my schedule around my own dogs' wellbeing, so adding another to the crew is no issue! I practice safe leash walks, use the backyard as needed, and allow off-leash in designated, safe areas! I have a lot of experience in ensuring dog safety and avoiding reactivity through reading doggy body language and behavior. About: I've been surrounded by pets my whole life, both cats and dogs. In college, I worked at a dog daycare, where I learned professional skills for taking care of pets as well! These skills helped me learn how to interact with different types of dogs and different energy levels. I also am a cat mom myself so I have plenty of cat experience. I love all animals and I'm incredibly communicative to parents since that's been my experience with Rover sitters. I currently work from home, at a full time remote job! I have flexibility so I’m able to do a few dog walks everyday and full pet sitting as well since I can bring my computer anywhere! While in a pet owners home, I will be cautious to follow instructions and keep your pet safe and happy. I can crate your pet if you prefer and I will always leave your home as clean as I found it.
About: Hi! Certified pet lover of all breeds, personalities, and diverse-abilities. I have over 15 years experience caring for furry friends and am comfortable with feeding, walking, administering medications, cleaning, and giving all the love! I have a pup of my own and will treat your loved one just like my own! I currently have open availability on weekdays and weekends! My partner works from home as well so we will have all helpful and playful hands on deck! I am happy to accommodate anything, just reach out and inquire. My fur baby would welcome friends for visits and we allow pups on all surfaces, making them feel at home! We have a very large fenced backyard and front patio area as well as a park on our street.

“Sarah and her family were great to my pup Smokey Monroe. Smokey got plenty of walks and frisbee time and also had other pups to play with. Sarah sent photos and was very communicative. Overall Smokey had a great time and was well care for while I was away.”

“This was our second stay with Jordan, and I realized I never left a review after the first one. However, I definitely should have! As a first time Rover user, in fact the first time ever leaving my 9-year old pup with a stranger, I was incredibly nervous about leaving my dog with someone new. Jordan completely exceeded my expectations. He sent thoughtful updates throughout the stay with a plethora of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind, and it was obvious that my dog was being loved and well cared for. Not only is Jordan amazing, but his family is so kind and welcoming. You can truly tell they care about the dogs they watch and treat them like part of the family. Knowing my pup was safe, happy, and surrounded by so much love made all the difference. I can't thank Jordan enough for taking such great care of my dog, Lily. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative, I highly recommend booking with him. We'll definitely be back!”

“There are so many good things to say about Gabrielle. I don’t even know where to begin. First she saved us out of a bind our Airbnb screwed us and we had to book another one that did not accept pets.Gabrielle responded quickly professionally and most importantly warmly. Her kind, friendly and jovial demeanor instantly put me at ease. After all, I was leaving my dog with a complete stranger an area I’m not familiar with and with a bunch of other dogs And humans. Can you blame me for being nervous? She put all of that at ease with her frequent communication pictures and paid careful attention to make sure my Boston terrier was properly cooled in this intense summer heat. if I ever am back in the area, I will definitely reach out Just to give my dog the treat of hanging out with Gabrielle, lol.”
