About: Growing up we had both dogs and cats in the house. As soon as I had an apartment that allowed dogs, I adopted my sweet and sassy pup snoopy. Over the years his mobility declined and I gained insight in how to care for an elderly pup including administering shots, and oral medication. Last year my fiancé and I adopted our sweet girl Betty. She tested us as a puppy, and provided an opportunity to learn about training a dog with a different personality from my first pup. I work as an RN Monday- Thursday and my fiancé works from home Monday- Friday. We live in a first floor apartment with a walk out patio. Our complex also has a dog park and plenty of space for long walks. We are a nonsmoking home with no children; just Betty and she is very friendly with other dogs. I recently relocated to the Cary area for work, but my new job does not start until mid October! Prior to the move, I was a full time student and working on Rover. My schedule is pretty open to care for your pets! I am familiar with different harnesses and the importance of leashing dogs when out and about. My apartment has several fenced dog areas and lots of outdoor walking space!

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats, and as an adult, I’ve had the privilege of caring for two blind rescue dogs, as well as my current lovable 16-pound Aussiedoodle, Zoey. Zoey lives with me and gets along well with other dogs. For the past 2½ years, I’ve owned and operated a dog-walking and cat-care business, caring for a variety of neighborhood pets. My experience includes three 19-year-old cats, two medium and large Doodles, a Dachshund I’ve cared for since he was just 10 weeks old, and dogs of many different mixed breeds, ages, and personalities. My approach is to always let the animal lead. Both of my rescue dogs came from very difficult circumstances, and I learned how important patience, trust, and a sense of safety are. Rather than expecting an animal to immediately feel comfortable with me, I give them the time and space they need to open up on their own. With a calm, loving, and safe environment, that trust usually begins to develop naturally. I’m especially comfortable with animals who may be shy, fearful, cautious, or unsure of strangers. I take a very gentle approach, allowing them to get to know me at their own pace. Once they feel safe and comfortable, that’s when the magic unfolds! I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, whether that means sleeping in a crate at night or curling up on the bed. We usually take our dog out to use the restroom every 3-4 hours. Charlie is a great snuggler and loves getting comfy on the couch. About: Growing up we had both dogs and cats in the house. As soon as I had an apartment that allowed dogs, I adopted my sweet and sassy pup snoopy. Over the years his mobility declined and I gained insight in how to care for an elderly pup including administering shots, and oral medication. Last year my fiancé and I adopted our sweet girl Betty. She tested us as a puppy, and provided an opportunity to learn about training a dog with a different personality from my first pup. I work as an RN Monday- Thursday and my fiancé works from home Monday- Friday. We live in a first floor apartment with a walk out patio. Our complex also has a dog park and plenty of space for long walks. We are a nonsmoking home with no children; just Betty and she is very friendly with other dogs. I recently relocated to the Cary area for work, but my new job does not start until mid October! Prior to the move, I was a full time student and working on Rover. My schedule is pretty open to care for your pets! I am familiar with different harnesses and the importance of leashing dogs when out and about. My apartment has several fenced dog areas and lots of outdoor walking space!

About: I’ve always loved animals and have grown up around pets. I’m responsible, patient and enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and specific quirks. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime or just keeping your pet company while you’re away. I’m a full-time college student and I’m not working currently, so I have a really flexible schedule. I also have a light class load this semester, which gives me plenty of free time throughout the week. Because of that, I’m able to be flexible with different pet schedules and spend plenty of time with them instead of just rushing in and out. I am able to work around your pet’s routine, whether they need a walk, playtime, to be fed, or just someone to hang out with. I’m very attentive when it comes to taking care of animals, and I always want to make sure I know your pet and their routine before you leave. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, watching them at my home for the day, house sitting at your home, etc. I pay close attention to things like feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, doors and gates, and any little details that are important to you. I will do everything I can to make your pet feel comfortable and safe while you’re away! Just a heads-up, I do have a cat at home, so any pets staying at my house would need to be comfortable around cats.
