Highly-rated overnight sitters - DeWitt
“Victoria and Rishi were great with our puppy! We needed to extend his stay with them by a night last-minute and they were very receptive. We could tell that he was well taken care of at their house and he had a great time playing with the other dogs.”

“As any pet owner knows, finding a sitter you can completely trust is like striking gold. It’s not just about a service—it’s about finding someone who genuinely cares for your furry family member. I recently had the incredible good fortune to find Haley, who took amazing care of our dog, Polly. The peace of mind she gave us was invaluable. From the start, Haley was an amazing communicator, providing us with updates that let us know Polly was happy, safe, and loved. You can tell she genuinely cares deeply about every animal she welcomes into her home. Polly was happy and well-adjusted upon her return, which is the best indicator of the loving and attentive environment Haley provides. We are truly beyond grateful for her exceptional care. I highly recommend Haley to anyone looking for a fantastic pet sitter. We're already looking forward to Polly's next stay with her in the near future!”

“Jordan’s communication was top notch!!! Jordan was very attentive to my concerns and was flexible with our pick up/drop off schedule. Most importantly, I felt like Willard was in good hands for the short time we were away. Jordan sent texts and pictures of Willard and kept us updated throughout the stay. Jordan is great!! Highly recommended sitter!”

“Kasey was amazing! She was so good with Buddy. I felt so comfortable leaving him. She has a perfect set up for the dogs. Her dogs were great with Buddy too even though they were much larger. They were very kind and gentle. She was great at sending pics and communication. I would highly recommend Kasey!”

“Susan made me feel very comfortable leaving Cora with her. You can tell she is a true animal lover! She sent updates and pictures and Cora was well looked after. We’ll use her again!”

“My dog loved his stay with Jacqueline! She was very attentive and you can tell how deeply she cares for your fur baby! She communicated regularly with updates and photos while I was away. If I need a sitter again we definitely will book again with her!”

“Excellent! Highly recommended -- This is the second time Michelle has watched Polly for us, and is incredible, excellent communication and takes amazing care of Polly. A++++”

“Melissa was a wonderful sitter, sending photos & updates during my absence. My pup was happy to see me, but she also loved her time with the resident pup! We definitely want to see Melissa & Chiquita again.”

“My dog Cooper was very relaxed and at home with Cheryl. I felt at ease with Cooper in her care with his special dietary needs and separation anxiety. I really appreciated how she accommodated my change in schedule due to unexpected travel delays. Definitely will rebook for future dog boarding.”

“Olivia did a great job watching Hawk over the holidays! She sent lots of pictures and gave him lots of attention. He’s a high energy dog, and she handled him perfectly. We could tell he had a great time with her. We recommend Olivia and plan to use her services again down the road!”

“Rosemary always seems to have a great time and comes back happy. Chris is friendly and easy to work with - really happy to have a place we can count on to board Rose and know she's in great hands. Thank you!”

“Kim is a fantastic pet sitter who cares for my fur baby exceptionally well. She is friendly, trustworthy, and caring. This is already our third visit, and my dog has enjoyed his stay each time.”

“Cari was awesome! I was so worried about my anxious, Velcro dog. But Cari took such good care of him, and so appreciated the updates and pictures. When I picked him up I was overjoyed to see me and wanted to go. But he was shaking and over stressed like he’s been other times. When I come back to my daughters, if we want to go away again for a few days, I will definitely call Cari too take care of him!”

“Sydney and Luna had an excellent stay! They were very spoiled with lots of love and attention. We received pictures of their fun twice a day! We highly recommend Jason and Kristen!”

“She took very good care of my pup while I was away. Loved that she got to know her prior to her stay and made her feel comfortable. Loved getting updates as well. Would definitely book Alice again!”

“My partner and I are first time Rover users and I am so thankful to have had Megan drop in for our two cats for six days. Long story short, Megan is good at what she does and made our vacation worry-free knowing our kitties were under her attentive care. Our older cat recently had some medical difficulties and she was very knowledgeable about medication administration with our older cat and kept him calm, safe, and well medicated during our vacation. Our younger cat had some behavioral issues and she was communicative and very professional in dealing with negative cat behavior previously unknown to us. She took good care of our little stinker and was great at problem solving. PS: she took some excellent model shots of our cats and that was always a joy to see. 🥰 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

Furthermore, we have years of firsthand experience caring for senior dogs, including managing pain, assisting with mobility, administering medications, and dispensing chemotherapy drugs. We want you to know that your pet will have company for the majority of the day. I am a stay-at-home mom, and my husband works from home two days a week. Plus, our kids are excited to spend lots of time playing with your pet. Following the loss of our beloved dog of 18 wonderful years, we're eager to open our hearts and home to your furry family member, and dedicate our time and affection to your pet. Our home includes large, grassy areas perfect for running, and we also enjoy long daily walks around the neighborhood should your pet need extra exercise and outdoor activities.

“Kelsey took great care of our cats while we were away. Our cats really appreciated the attention and treats. We are always a little nervous finding a new rover pet sitter to drop into our home, but we would definitely recommend Kelsey. ☺️”

“Elizabeth was great! Very attentive and communicative throughout the stay. She came to spend some time and care for my cat just after we said goodbye to our other cat earlier that weekend. She was very empathetic and kind to our situation. I’ve had so many issues with finding quality care through rover, and it was such a relief to find someone who I can trust in. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Thanks, Elizabeth!”

“Laura is awesome! She took the time to meet with us prior to the visit and I knew she would be a perfect match for our two cats, Poppy and Noodle. She played with Poppy who looked to be having fun and was playful with Laura. Laura found the shy Noodle in her hiding spot and snapped a photo. The second day Noodle was out of hiding a little, which gave the chance for another photo but more importantly, showed me that even shy Noodle was comfortable with Laura, which is remarkable! Laura was thorough with her report and a very kind persisted. We appreciate her and will welcome her back!”

“My partner and I booked Lori to check on our cats while we were out of town for the day and we loved getting the pictures and hearing how our shyest cat has warmed up to her. We can't give Lori enough praise for how amazing she is with our cats and we know they're in good hands when we travel.”

“Ashley has watched my cat before and everything went as great this time as it did last time! She is definitely my go-to from now on. She always takes lots of photos and is very communicative about how my boy is doing and how visits go :)”

About: I’ve been caring for cats my entire life—starting with barn cats and now home cats, including plenty of playful kittens. They’re curious, lovable creatures, and I treat each one with the care they deserve. Whether it’s feeding, cleaning litter boxes, or simply giving them affection, I make sure your cats feel safe and loved while you’re away.

“Alex was great! He was very communicative about my pets and let me know what time he was arriving and leaving each day. He made sure our boy cat got his medicine and was really good about getting our picky cat to eat away from the others. He sent pictures each day, which was very comforting. He also brought in packages from our mail securely in the house, which was extra helpful.”

About: When petsitting, I go beyond basic pet sitting by tailoring care to each pet’s personality and routine. I’m reliable, a good communicator, and can keep you updated via pictures! I also have experience administering medications and handling anxious pets as I have one of my own. My goal is to prioritize your pets safety, and keep them happy and comfortable. I am on the MSU women’s rowing team, and only have practices 6:30-9:30am daily. Aside from that, I have a part-time job with a very free schedule. I provide a safe, calm, and clean environment whether pets are in my own home or yours. I don’t like to get them off routine as I know that can be a bit overwhelming for some animals, and love to give lots of attention! I’ll also be attentive to any needs of the pet, and keep you updated with photos/texts so you know your pet is in good hands!

“Lizz came by twice a day to take care of our three cats while we were away. One of our cats needed a daily inhaler, and she handled it wonderfully. The cats loved playing with Lizz, and having her there gave us such peace of mind knowing our fur babies were well cared for. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Justin was great with Joey! He is definitely a food-motivated guy so anyone who feeds him and gives him attention and pets is OK in his book. On my end, I was kept up to date with each visit which was so appreciated! I now have some awesome photos of Joey being his silly self from when I was last away! I cannot emphasize more about Justin's great pet-sitting services!”

“Tesa is amazing! I am SO thankful for her. This was my husband and I’s first time using rover and we were both scared because one of our cats is on a special diet due to a medical condition and tesa put us at much ease while we enjoyed our vacation. Plus I loved all the pictures sent to us! 🥰”

“Ashley is so great ! She made everything so easy and smooth . Great communication! She was great with my cats! She even got my incredibly shy cat to come out and say hi , amazing ! Sent great pics and lots of them. Was so wonderful to see my cats so content and taken care taken care of so well while we were away ! She fit us in last minute and was so gracious about helping me out when we had travel complications. Would definitely recommend Ashley !”

“Julie went above & beyond when checking in on our anti-social kitties. Her patience paid off and the fuzzy, grumpy one accepted pets and even purred! Thank you for jumping in last minute to care for Kassie & Kilo :)”

“This was my 1st time using a home service like Rover to care for my sweet Maine Coon. I was nervous but Daphne did a great job. We had a pre-meeting prior to my vacation and that went very well. DAPHNE got a chance to meet my Willow and we got a chance to meet her and go over all our routines. I was gone for two weeks and DAPHNE communicated every day with a brief update on how the visit went and how willow was doing and she took pictures and sent them every day as well. I could tell that my baby was happy and content and that made being away from her for an extended time much easier. DAPHNE‘s a great communicator and the daily updates/pics made this experience a good one and I would definitely use her again the next time i’m in need of a sitter for Willow! Thank you, DAPHNE.👍🏼”

We live in a nice neighborhood that is great for walking, too!

About: I’ve taken care of animals ever since I can remember. I didn’t start taking it seriously until about 14 (which is 10 years ago now!). The very first animal of my own was my cat Oliver who came home in 2014. I sadly lost him this March but he truly fueled my passion for animals! I have two mini Australian Shepherds of my own so I have experience with high energy herding breeds. I’ve done all their training myself! They even have their own Instagram. My dads chosen breed is olde English bulldogges so I have experience caring for brachycephalic breeds as well. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! :) Currently I’m only available on weekends and Mondays but I have open availability on those days to play with your fur babies! I’m hoping to open my schedule up in the evening on weekdays. I never let clients dogs off-leash unless we are in a fenced, safe area. I take all precautions when walking a clients pup as I know how precious my own are to me! I care for your babies as my own because I would want the same for mine.

About: I have been pet sitting since I was in college, providing care mostly to dogs and cats, including dog walks, playtime, administering medicine and medical care (including daily shots) to both dogs and cats. Friends and acquaintances have relied on me to care for their pets for up to six months at a time. I work from home and have a fairly open schedule so I’m available to stay in your home or visit your home and pets during the day and can keep them company during the workday as well as on the weekends. I care for pets as though they are my own and have had experience caring for pets on very strict schedules. I honor your wishes in how you want and need for your pet to be loved while you’re away.
About: For years I have been surrounded by animals and taking care of them. I am here to help owners who don’t have the time to give their dogs a walk or even needing pet sitting! Currently this is my only job, I only will be doing sitting or walking during the week. My routine basically depends on the animals and what client's wish me to help with or do during my hours with the animals. I can take care of lizards, dogs, and cats. I always first make sure what allergies or restrictions are needed for the pet at their home. I offer walking and pet sitting. I can come at certain times the owner needs by request to make sure the animal is safe and cared for.
About: Ever since I was little, I have loved all kinds of animals and hope to one day have a career working with them. I have also cared for the dogs and cats of friends and family while they were away. In addition to dogs and cats, I have owned and cared for two hamsters, a Canadian goose, three ducks, and have experience helping care for horses. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and understand the extra patience and attention they sometimes need. Currently, I have two Labrador Retrievers named Annie and Delta, and I love spending time caring for them. I am also comfortable administering medications, as one of my dogs requires seizure medication three times a day. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I am committed to providing loving, reliable, and attentive care for every animal I look after. I am a junior at Hope College home for the summer so my schedule is fairly open and I am very flexible. I am usually busy weekends and Tuesday and Thursday nights when I am coaching lacrosse. I can care for your dog in your home just as you would care for your dog if you were home. I could easily crate your dog if needed, take them for walks, feed them, and take them out to use the bathroom.

About: I have been on rover for almost 3 years now, I have experience in all care fields (child, adult, and animal), and am also a licensed massage therapist. I have 6 adorable Pugbulls and one cat.I've cared for fish, cats, and dogs. In a 30min time block I can usually walk a little over a mile with a dog, even if they want to stop and sniff around a bit. I love all animals and am always willing to look after new types of animals! Unfortunately I’m not currently taking on new weekly walks, I will update this should that change. Currently my schedule is very flexible and open during the whole week. Should that schedule change I will update this description and let any clients I’m working with know. I have a very flexible work schedule as a massage therapist, if a day isn’t available I will have it updated as unavailable on my rover calendar. I always make sure to allow all pets to come to me at their own pace without making them feel like I’m invading their personal space. This helps them be comfortable with me quickly and feel safe in their home.
“Lisa is delightful and a great communicator. She is reliable and so good with my senior chihuahua mix, Mika. It is very comforting to know Lisa also has a senior chihuahua, and is very experienced with dog care. I am happy Mika seems to really enjoy her walks with Lisa and was able to get comfortable with her fast. Lisa takes her time and is in tune with Mika’s needs. I feel bad on days I have to leave Mika alone at home for so long for work, so it means the world to me that Lisa makes sure her time with Mika is quality bonding.”

About: Hi, I have plenty of experience with my three grand-dogs. I am so good with them, my son suggested I sign up for Rover. The first dog is a border collie / flat coat retriever mix. She has spent overnights, and days with me at my home. I visit her daly for a walk and fun. The other two are golden retrievers. They come most of the time as a pair, Again I have had them for overnights, day time sitting and walks. I also spend time feeding my neighbor's two dogs, mainly getting them to sit for a treat. I am currently retired. My schedule is very fluid and flexible. I spend a lot of time on house/yard projects and spending time with my two son's families. I try to get goingearly and get outside. I do not have a fenced yard, sorry. With all of the dogs in my neighborhood, I keep my canine visators leashed, If your pet is with me I will make sure we get outside for some exploring the smells in my neighborhood.

“Nikki has been great with my young dog. She has walked/dropped in to check on him during two separate occasions when he was healing from surgery or other procedures from the vet. She is great about sending updates for when she is on the way to my house and on my dog’s mood that day. She is very good at reading him and judging whether he wanted to walk that day or just hang out in the backyard. I recommend Nikki for drop in visits or dog walks.”

Your pets will receive love and attention! Whether that’s playing in the house or going for a walk or run outside. I look forward to meeting your furry friend(s)!

“Tesa showed she is reliable, on time, and cares about the dogs! Good communication throughout as well as pics and updates. Looking forward to having her come walk our dogs again. Thanks Tesa!”

I am happy to administer medication, do special chores or anything else that needs to be done while you are not at home. I currently work part time, and schedule my own hours, so I am available for you based on what needs you have, with enough notice. I have one dog, Husky mix, and she is familiar with other dogs. We love to go on walks and trips to the dog park!
About: I grew up with 5 pets in the house, 3 dogs and 2 cats. I loved taking all the dogs on walks and playing with them on the beach or outside in the yard. And when I’m inside, I love chilling with the cats :) I am currently only working part-time so I have a very open schedule due to recently graduating from MSU. I am more than happy to work with you on scheduling if needed. I treat any home as if it’s my own. Currently I live in an apartment and will not be able to take your pets to my residence, I am more than happy to stay in your’s. I am a fast learner and can adapt to new environments very well :)

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a pet care specialist and foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I work shorter shifts at Capital Area Humane Society, so my schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is centered on safety, patience, and positive interactions. As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own.

“Ellen is AMAZING! My dog is kind of high maintenance and she ensured my instructions were followed! Double checked medications and sent plenty of updates! Java came home happy and healthy. I will be using her whenever I’m in town! 5 ⭐️ care and love for the fur baby! Thank you!😊”

“Molly was so awesome to work with. Quick response, very laid back and accommodating! Made sure to slowly introduce them to the her dog and did a great job making sure everyone was safe. She even let them stay an extra night no problem!!! Will 100% book with her again.”
