With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, I’ve learned that every pup is different and deserves care that’s just as unique as they are. For the past 7+ years, I’ve also been fostering dogs through local rescues. Helping dogs transition from uncertain beginnings into loving homes has been incredibly rewarding and has given me experience with many different temperaments, energy levels, and personalities. The idea of boarding dogs in my home came from a challenge I faced myself — finding a place that truly felt safe, loving, and comfortable for my own dogs when I had to go away. About: I have raised my own dog since she was ten weeks old, mentored by my father who has raised three litters of puppies throughout his life. I have also done pet-sitting for friends and family for dogs as small as beagle puppies to as large as a Labrador. I am a Graduate student, but I manage to take six- mile walks every morning year-round. As my classes are in the evening, I can fit dog-walking into my schedule in the mornings and early afternoons. I am attentive and responsible for my pets needs, and take pride in ensuring that the animals I care for are happy and healthy. About: Hi my name is Fran. I’m a mostly stay at home Mom in Mt. Airy with a 3 year old and 6 year old and 1 year old. We live on 5 acres, all fenced, across from the state park and in addition to 2 dogs have horses, chickens, and an outside cat. Both me and my husband have owned dogs all our lives, and experienced in animal care. As a little kid my childhood dog was my constant companion and when I wasn't with him I was with the neighbors' dogs. In my twenties I moved to Alaska where I pursued a career in dog mushing and for two years lived with 120 dogs! Unfortunately due to frostbite I had to move back to the east coast. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs, Cash a one year old Australian Shepherd and Littles a 15 year old Boston terrier mix. Both love to play!! Cash is still a puppy and will play all day long!! He loves every dog he meets. Littles is 15 and recently lost his sight He’ll try to keep up with Cash but mostly just loves to sleep. I also have 2 horses, Shadow and Dandy (the love of my life) in their late twenties, some chickens, and a barn cat. About my yard I live on five acres across from Patuxent State Park. We have a huge fenced in backyard, with lots of trails in walking distance! My experience administering medication Yes I have no problem administering medication. Including injections I’m currently a stay at home mom and almost always home so your dog will never be left alone for long periods of time!! My 5 year old is great with dogs and will give your animals plenty of love and attention!!! We have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run! Your dog will be let out frequently and get plenty of exercise!! I try and take the dogs for a long walk at least once a day. Your dog will have free roam of the house, but we are more than happy to crate if you provide one. Our dogs eat in the am and pm, however we can accommodate your dogs feeding schedule.
About: I have lived with a dog my whole life. I walk, feed, and play with my 170 lbs mastiff. I also walk, feed, and play with my neighbors 3 dogs, one of which has trouble walking and getting up and down the steps. I just graduated from college and currently not working, which makes my schedule pretty free. I am open to early mornings and/ or late night walks and feeds! If the house does not have a fence I will keep a leash on at all times to help ensure the dogs safety and help prevent them from running away.

I work full-time from home with a flexible schedule! Getting out to walk throughout the day helps break up the day for me and your pup! I have a fenced in backyard and a 3 year old lab! I have a 5ft x 8ft kennel indoors and also have a few various size crates that I can use or you can bring your own! Dogs would only be crated/in the kennel to sleep (if needed) or if I am not home.

About: Lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats and a horse and studying psychology in college. I believe quality time for bonding, play and affection is just as important as food/potty breaks for pet happiness. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

About: I owned a dog for 13 years before she passed away, I was in charge of feeding her and I would take care of her while my parents were gone. I also have watched cats several times while they’re owners are away. I work 2 part time jobs, so weekday care might look differently than the weekend, but I am always willing to try and fit watching your pet into it my schedule! When I had my own dog I would feed and give water to her everyday, take her out to potty multiple times a day, take her on walks, and play. With cats, I always make sure they’re fed and have water, litter box is clean, and if they would like to play I play with them!

About: Lifelong experience caring for dogs, cats and a horse and studying psychology in college. I believe quality time for bonding, play and affection is just as important as food/potty breaks for pet happiness. The best part of pet sitting is the quality time spent with your pet after all the business is done! I have a flexible schedule so I'm able to make most times work. I can walk, feed, water, scrub bowls, medicate (comfortable administering oral meds to dogs and cats), clean up as needed, play with and generally whatever is needed to keep your pet on a regular schedule. We have 2 friendly smaller dogs and a dog door & ramp straight out to the fenced backyard. The house is one level with only 1 step in and out. There are crates set up in multiple locations and there are ways to separate animals safely if ever needed. Someone is home all day every day, pets are never kept without heat or AC.

About: Dog boarding: I have 16 years experience for caring for dogs at home including multiple dogs at a time. Additionally I have six years experience with dog sitting/boarding. With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, I’ve learned that every pup is different and deserves care that’s just as unique as they are. The idea of boarding dogs in my home came from a challenge I faced myself — finding a place that truly felt safe, loving, and comfortable for my own dogs when I had to go away. I wanted more than just a place for them to stay. I wanted them to feel cared for, understood, and treated like family. When your dog stays with me they will enjoy plenty of safe, supervised playtime in a large, fully fenced yard, giving them space to run, explore, and burn off those zoomies. Whether your dog loves active play or relaxing cuddle time, their comfort, safety, and happiness always come first. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. We’re used to having dogs around and all the activity and responsibility that comes with them, so caring for pets feels like a normal part of everyday life.
