About: I’ve had dogs and taken care of them since I was a child. I’ve owned an Airedale terrier, a pug, a Russian terrier, and my family currently has a Japanese spitz. I’ve got all sorts of experience - I have adopted a doggie from a shelter before, and I’ve also raised my two pups from 3 months old until they passed a few months ago at ages 14 and 16. I’ve boarded dogs - I looked after a friend’s pug for a week, a family friend’s elderly golden retriever, and fostered a stray my sister and I rescued before someone adopted her. I’ve taken road trips with multiple pets, and flown across the country with 3 of my dogs, I’ve taken them to all sorts of vet appointments, and been with them through all stages of their lives. I’m on this platform looking for company to heal from losing my furry friends, because being around dogs brings me peace and joy. I am a performing artist and I travel a lot for concerts, so having my own pet is unfortunately not feasible at the moment, hence I decided that taking care of someone else’s furry babies while I’m home between performances is the second best thing:) You can rest assured that I’ll take great pleasure in taking care of them and having them in my home. I work from home during the day and I am home from evening until morning, too. I do however step out for errands and appointments. Your dog will be with me most of the time while staying in my home, walked 2-3 times and fed on schedule, but should be comfortable being on its own for 2-3 hours max, if I have things to do. If your doggie has severe separation anxiety and is unable to be alone at all, I can accommodate that with enough notice and for 2x my normal nightly rate. I’ve always let my dogs run free around the house and make a safe space for them where they liked, but I did crate my rescue doggie when he first arrived to slowly acclimate him to the new place. Whatever you prefer for your dog is fine by me and I’m happy to accommodate. I don’t have a yard, but I have plenty of green areas nearby where I’d walk your furry pal. I keep my dogs on leash at all times. I like training them and playing with them to give them some mental stimulation, but if they prefer to chill and not be bothered I’m cool with that as well

We will take special care of your companions because we know how important they are to you. Gordon is partially retired and Marianna is on a sabbatical so we have plenty of time to pay special attention to your unique dogs needs. Our dog Crixus and cat Spartacus, both born in 2016, will be gracious hosts to your dog. We have a small fenced back yard where they can spend as much time as they like or they can chill out anywhere in the house. Marianna or Gordon will always be present to ensure that your dog is getting the love and attention they deserve.

About: If your dog doesn't get along with other dogs, we're the perfect sitter for you! We limit our bookings to one so your dog will have our full attention. The only exception is if the dogs are from the same family, otherwise, we don't risk any of our guests hurting one another. We love animals but we don't have pets of our own - this is our way of getting our dog-fix! We have a large, fully fenced in backyard, that's private for our guests to enjoy. We have several parks in the neighborhood only a 3 minute walk away and we love going on walks/runs. And just in case, we have a reliable car and the animal hospital is only a 7 minute drive from the apt. We hope you enjoy your vacation and can't wait to help take care of your dog! We work from home 100% and are available all day to care for any pets we sit. We also only take one booking at a time so your pet will have our full attention.
