One of my dogs is very anxious and barks a lot. She dealt with it well and realized he was just unsure of the environment. My 6 pound Pomeranian took a few days to warm up to her but in the end she did. Sue didn’t push herself on my dog and just let my pup come to her. She took special care to walk them and make them feel as comfortable in their new environment. Sue also took time each day to send me photos and texts so I knew they were ok. I have already booked her for two more weeks this summer. I recommend her with your dogs too. It is obvious she loves and enjoys dogs.”

About: As a child, I was the neighborhood pet sitter. As an adult, I have vast experience caring for animals. For 25 years, I did pet sitting and house sitting in the Boston area before moving to Puerto Rico 13 years ago. The first month I lived there, I found a box of kittens in the road. I have been a rescuer since, being one of few who take on the most challenging cases. I have saved hundreds, if not thousands, of dogs and cats over the years and I have seen it all. Nothing intimidates me or grosses me out. I will give baths, dispense medications, clean up accidents, whatever is needed. I am 58 years old and am very reliable and trustworthy. I am 58 years old and do not work anymore so my availability is wide open. I do sometimes go to Puerto Rico where I am in the process of selling my home but the dates for those trips are flexible. I generally find that caring for pets in their own home is ideal as they really do appreciate routine, stability, and a familiar environment. However, I am certainly willing to care for them in my home as well and offer a fully fenced in back yard for dogs. There is an 11 lb dog at my house but he is used to cats and dogs coming and going so he should not pose a problem (or I can separate them, if preferred). In terms of routine, I am willing to adapt to whatever you have established and have no problem with giving medications, baths, or any other special care needed. With 13 years of rescuing in Puerto Rico and 25 years of pet care before that, I have seen it all (and nothing grosses me out!). If you like frequent updates and photos, no problem. If you like to relax and not think about home when you are away, no problem. Your beloved pets are in safe, loving hands.
About: I have had a dog in my home since I was 11 years old. I have had small dogs and large dogs alike, mostly full of energy. I have dog sat in the past in home but prefer to do it at my own as I have my own dog. We love to go on forest hikes with our black lab, Pickle, and keep her tired and happy. I currently work from home and have a dog of my own that I play with throughout the day. She is rarely alone and gets taken out whenever she requests. I have a black lab of my own that is my baby. She sleeps on the furniture and has her own queen sized bed. We have two bags of toys and we are constantly playing fetch on our third of an acre yard.

About: I have been around animals ever since I was born, and started my first job petsitting in only 6th grade. I have worked with a variety of animals ranging from dogs and cats, to ducks, to chinchillas, to horses! I would follow the owners daily routine to help keep your animals calmer. If they are crate trained I can put them in their crate, watch them in the yard, take them on walks, play with them, and cuddle at the end of the day. I strongly believe in the saying “leave it better than you found it”, which I intend to do in your home!

I currently work full time as a vet nurse and I pet sit for some of my current clients. Your pets care is my top priority while you’re away. I initially try to take the time for the pet to get to know me, once they are comfortable the I’ll take them for walks (unless otherwise told) and play with them. In the past I have slept on the main floor with older pets if they can’t do stairs. I try and make giving medications fun so hiding it in snacks or turning it into a game if I can. I try to make the pets time as stress free as possible while their parents are gone.

Availability: I am actively at work three days a week Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from the hours of approximately 11-4 pm. The rest of the week I work from home. Walking Services: I am an avid hiker and runner. I typically use my days off to hike and I would be delighted to integrate your dog into my routine if you live near trails. House stays: When I stay in the clients home, I try to keep to the schedule that is already known to minimize stress to the pet. Dog daycare: At my own home, I have a fenced in area where the dogs can run and play. There are neighborhood dogs that can come and play if your pet enjoys socializing.

About: I have had a dog in my home since I was 11 years old. I have had small dogs and large dogs alike, mostly full of energy. I have dog sat in the past in home but prefer to do it at my own as I have my own dog. We love to go on forest hikes with our black lab, Pickle, and keep her tired and happy. I currently work from home and have a dog of my own that I play with throughout the day. She is rarely alone and gets taken out whenever she requests. I have a black lab of my own that is my baby. She sleeps on the furniture and has her own queen sized bed. We have two bags of toys and we are constantly playing fetch on our third of an acre yard.
