About: Hello! My name is Andie and I work at VCA South Shore Hospital in ER, ICU, Neurology and Internal Medicine as a technician assistant and have prior TA experience at Old Derby Animal Hospital. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I previously went to the University of Arizona for 3 years studying animal sciences and transferred my junior year to return to the East Coast. I also have some experience with a handful of farm animals from my time at the UofA. We have a small family dog, but other than that I have rescue retired racing greyhound, Moose, who has travelled far and wide with me. About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover who grew up begging for a dog. After college, I brought home my first dog—a golden retriever who was the center of my world. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with dogs of all kinds: high-energy, troublemakers, dogs with medical needs, seniors, and everything in between. I’m comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I truly enjoy getting to know what makes each dog unique. After meeting my husband, we added a rescue to our household and regularly help care for and babysit dogs for family and friends. After saying goodbye to my beloved Golden, our house has felt a little empty. While we’re not ready to add another full time dog, we love welcoming an extra companion to our home for short term stays! About: When I originally thought of pet care, I had my dog Lily in mind. Lily came with her quirks and boundaries that were necessary that anyone who came in contact with her had to follow. Anyone who cared for my dog made sure to follow any concerns I had and made sure to be flexible with me as she is quite literally my child. With who Lily is, I brought that thought process into how I care for others dogs. Although I’ve been around all kinds of dogs my whole life with my dad being a trainer and boarder himself - I have a different type of respect and bond with animals and their owners. I want to make sure I am giving the care that you would give your animal - and that you feel the utmost comfortable leaving your precious pup in my care. If you have a puppy that is currently training I will make sure to follow the routine that you are working on. I understand not every dog likes to be smothered with love, and some find love as just simply going on a walk. It would be a pleasure keeping your pup comfortable and happy! I typically will request a note of certain important things (food amt/time to eat/ favorite toys/ odd behaviors etc.). I also currently have a dog of almost 4 years, so I understand the level of attention a dog may need especially in the training years. I’m currently working a full-time hybrid job, so I am home and available Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays before 8:30am, between 12:00pm and 1:00pm, and after 5:00pm. About: Hello! My name is Andie and I work at VCA South Shore Hospital in ER, ICU, Neurology and Internal Medicine as a technician assistant and have prior TA experience at Old Derby Animal Hospital. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I previously went to the University of Arizona for 3 years studying animal sciences and transferred my junior year to return to the East Coast. I also have some experience with a handful of farm animals from my time at the UofA. Additionally some of my experience comes from working on home farms taking care of horses and alpacas; all of this meaning my knowledge of animals is extensive to give the best care for your furry friends! I have always had the passion for animal care and medicine which is why after graduating I will be continuing my schooling to be a CVT and hopefully someday a veterinarian. A few years back I had participated in boarding through Rover, but after a hiatus I decided to come back to continue with walks and drop in visits because even outside of my main job I love to be around animals! We have a small family dog, but other than that I have rescue retired racing greyhound, Moose, who has travelled far and wide with me. My pets also include many fish, a leopard gecko, chickens and ducks! All this being said, I would absolutely love the opportunity to be alongside your best friends and scratch the itch to spend as much time with animals as I can! I am currently working full time at VCA Animal Hospital where I can do Sat, Sun and Mon anytime. I am open to doing drop ins and walks. About: Safe to say I grew up in a big dog family. Ever since I've been alive, my family had 2 to 3 dogs in the house, both big and small dogs. I grew up surrounded by dogs and definitely have an attachment to them. Have been traveling for work for a few years so havn't had an opportunity to get one myself, but recently purchased a new home and getting a new pup is high on the list of priorities.
