About: I have one dog and have fostered over a dozen others, including various breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have experience working with super energetic dogs and reactive dogs and love training! I am home for the summer, and I am available all day, because I am working from home! She took great care of my two cats (and my home), and they really liked her based on the numerous pictures she sent where it appeared they were following her around, and not just to the wet food. What's more, Marilyn goes above and beyond. When I left for my trip and Marilyn was to begin residency the following day, my neighbor texted me and showed me that there was a window situation where a cat could escape. Even though her duty started the next day, Marilyn made a special trip to confirm cats were safe, and to fix the window situation. She even washed the bedding and towels I had left her so I wouldn't have to do it when I got home, and she generously allowed my to book two more nights of her care when I wanted to extend my trip. About: Since I was 10 years old, neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their dog(s). I've stayed overnight at their houses to provide the requested care as well as visits during the day. Additionally I’ve hosted pet(s) overnight. About: What makes me different is that caring for animals has been a big part of my life for years. I’m currently in college studying animal care, and I also worked at a zoo for 3 years, so I’ve had hands-on experience caring for and working around animals. My schedule gives me a lot of flexibility to take care of pets throughout the day, whether that means walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company. Since I’m studying animal care, I genuinely enjoy spending my time around animals and getting to know their different personalities and needs. I’m able to work pet care into my weekly routine without it feeling like a chore, and I’m happy to follow each pet’s normal schedule and routine while their owners are away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always try to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I follow their feeding schedule, give them plenty of attention and playtime, and make sure they have a clean, comfortable, and safe space. My home is also a great setup for pets. I have a fenced-in backyard, and I live close to a dog-friendly park and a dog park that’s only about 5 minutes up the road. I’m also near emergency animal hospitals, Petco, and Legacy Place, so there are plenty of pet-friendly places and resources nearby if needed. About: I have been around dogs and cats all of my life. Growing up in the Hudson Valley, we had two dogs: an American Pit Bull Terrier and an APBT Staffie mix. They were the most athletic and lovey dogs! In their senior years, they had medical issues so I am experienced with med management and adopting activities to their capabilities. We also had several cats growing up including adopted strays. Currently, my fiance and I have a half APBT, half Siberian Husky dog. He is the best! We adopted him from a family that kept him in his crate for so long that he bit off a large portion of the hair on his tail. He was reactive in the beginning, lunging at cars on the road and barking and lunging at dogs on walks. I used Spirit Dog Training’s reactivity course and my education in behavioral psychology and research to fix these issues. He no longer does either things and his hair has grown back in spades! We keep him busy by training him (tricks) and mentally stimulated with sniff walks and games like find it, as well as off leash time, hikes, runs, etc. We love hiking with Oto: he recently completed numerous hikes in Acadia National Park and has done Camel’s Hump in VT and Mt. Osceola in NH: he plans on completing the NH 48! In general, I love being outside and active: hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, running, kayaking, rock climbing and going to the gym. I love all dogs, but have a particular drive to keep working dogs happy and healthy! German Shepherds, Border Collies, Huskies, Cattle Dogs, Anatolian Shepherds: it is amazing what they can do and how they have served our communities in numerous roles for decades. I have spent a lot of time with my sister’s German Shepherd and half GSD half Anatolian dogs and my family's Great Danes. I also volunteered at a therapeutic horseback riding center and rode horseback for several years; I find being around horses to be great training for how to interact with, and train, dogs. They are so big that they don’t HAVE to listen to you. Maintaining confidence (even if you don’t feel like it) and a steady hand go a long way, as well as keeping aware of their body language and behaviors. They are very sensitive creatures. In the Fall of 2026, I am resuming my graduate program in clinical social work and have indicated my availability in the details section. However, those times and days don't apply during winter and summer breaks (open availability then). Please share your dog's behaviors and needs with me before scheduling walks. If your dog is reactive (barks at dogs on walks or lunges) please let me know and I can adjust the walking route and make sure to give other dogs plenty of space. Let me know what their usual distance on walks is, as I can try to adjust my pace accordingly. I have a lot of experience with this (decades). If you have treats for your dog, I can take them out with me if needed.

They said he was so nice chatting with them, punctual every day, making sure Rusty got his long walks and did his business. Sean sent us a daily report card with photos along the walk and charted out new neighborhoods in our town. Rusty must have loved that! We had a heavy downpour one of the days and Sean took the time to make sure Rusty was all dried up after the walk. I have one cat at home who is deeply spoiled. I live close to many parks and will be more than happy take them for walks and runs. I like to keep their routine as close to normal as possible — same walk times, meals, and plenty of play and cuddle time. In my home, I make sure there’s a comfy spot for naps, space to play, and lots of attention. When I’m at a client’s home, I treat it with respect and care. Every animal is different, so I take the time to get to know what makes each one comfortable and content.

My beautiful senior Boston Terrier passed away at 10 and a half years old in the spring of 2021, so I am now available to take your little dog on my daily walks/hikes in the local area!! “Jess and her family were great! Our 11 pound Cavapoo (Molly) stayed with Jess for 7 nights while our family went on our first vacation without our beloved pup. I knew Molly was well cared for and happy (perhaps a bit too happy given her ambivalence to seeing me when I picked her up 🙂). I felt very comfortable leaving Molly with Jess and would certainly do so again. Jess was very responsive and sent me regular updates and pictures. I think Molly particularly enjoyed the freedom Jess allows the dogs in the house. For example, I sent Molly with her crate that she happily sleeps in at our home, but with Jess Molly just slept on the couch with the other dogs. Spoiled for sure!”

About: I have one dog and have fostered over a dozen others, including various breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have experience working with super energetic dogs and reactive dogs and love training! I am home for the summer, and I am available all day, because I am working from home! My schedule is very flexible so let me know what works best for you :). Safety is always my number one priority. I have lots of experience reading animal behavior. Please tell me what I should know about your pets or before coming to your home, and if there are any precautions you would like me to take in order to keep your pets happy and healthy! I will always keep dogs on leash, and keep water and treats with me. Will send updates and picture/videos too!

When I saw Mr. Su’s profile, I immediately felt he would be a great match for Benji’s nature, and I was right. He had occurred as a very trustworthy person to me immediately. I appreciated his communication from the start and the thoughtful questions about Benji’s routine. I also loved the photo updates and seeing that Benji was getting out and about. Mr. Su even added a bit more structure to Benji’s meals, which I really appreciated. He also accepted the booking on short notice when my other plans fell through, which meant a lot. Benji looked like himself in every update- relaxed and happy and it was clear he was in excellent hands.
