About: I've owned pets (both cats and dogs) since I was very young, including pets that required special care and medicine. We've owned multiple senior pets, having cared for them from puppy/kitten age through their senior years. Other than pets we have adopted at an older age, I have helped care for our pets throughout their entire life, starting from a couple of months of age. I would be able to help with pets that require medication or special care routines, as well as adjust to their activity levels. I also have experience as an assistant at a veterinary office, so I am comfortable working with animals in general, including larger breeds of dogs. About: I have volunteered at an animal shelter walking and caring for dogs and cats in the past. I also was raised around animals and have lots of experience with my own pets. I am walking dogs on a relatively flexible schedule this summer, and while my primary availability is Friday-Sunday, I am open to discussing other times and days to work with your dogs! I always carry pepper spray and a personal safety alarm to ensure both my and your dogs safety. I will also stick to familiar parts of the city so both of us can be comfortable and safe.
About: I unfortunately have not had the pleasure of having a dog in my youth so to make up for it I’ve taken care of dogs from my family and friends! About: I’ve have ample experience raising dogs- though now I find myself a cat mom of 4 haha! I’m originally from Houston and would volunteer at the rodeo and shelter pretty adamantly. I’d enjoy my time advocating and caring for animals at the shelter and spay/neuter pop up events for those in need. In my neighborhood I managed to TNR over a dozen colony cats in my area and was able to send a couple young ones to happy homes :) Additionally, I have my Fear Free Shelter certification and am CPR and First Aid certified, too. My heart has always had a soft spot for pets and making them feel loved and safe as if they’re my own. My motto has always been there are no bad pets just sticky situations and certain accommodations we need to make to keep them at peace. I currently have a studio but would love to house sit and do drop in visits for those in Chicago or near west loop. About: Love dogs! I have taken care of my friends dogs numerous times back In La. Those days were spent frolicking about the city with lil trips to the park. My calm demeanor allows me to bond with pups and makes them feel safe when walking with me. I’d carry owner approved treats to help motivate dogs to stay in line and pay attention. I’d only have one dog per walk and would make sure he/she has a great experience walking around Chicago. I am able to walk dogs a lot as my schedule is completely open. Walking dogs is no problem as long as it is before 3 pm Monday through Friday. Walking a new dog could be a scary feeling for the dog. A stranger is taking them outside and what they’re use to evaporates because a new person is guiding the leash. I’d make sure the dog understands that they are safe with me, and I’d try to keep the route, treats, and care the same as you would! I wouldn’t let your dog off leash and never out of my sight. I would not leave your dog alone for a second.

Our friend that was there earlier in the day left the leashes in the wrong place and Leila was patient enough to search for them. It delayed her walk quite a bit but she didn’t shorten their walk. She was patient and understanding about the mistake. Then, last minute I had to extend the booking one additional day due to travel delays, which Katie accepted without issue. Katie also communicates well. She responds quickly, and sends regular updates about your pet. We will definitely book Katie again!”
