About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. About: The dog in my pictures was Winnie. She was my first dog and was a rescue from Tuscaloosa while I was finishing up my last year at The University of Alabama. Although she was more of a couch potato, she was a great learning experience for how to handle shelter dogs and dogs in general. We had another dog and a cat as well in the house with never any issues….even whenever Alabama lost believe it or not. I prefer the later afternoon and night shifts due to the fact I work in an office every day. Weekends and holidays I am free all day. I prefer to use the client's yard or take them to a park. My yard is only size appropriate for smaller dogs but still fenced in if your dog is not very active.

I do however now work a part time retail job that doesn’t have a fixed schedule, so I will have to work bookings around it. Our cats are kept inside most of the time but we do have a yard with a fence that allows them to be outside supervised. If the weather allows for it, we let them out to get exercise in and just have some stimulation. We have to feed them separately as one cat likes to try to steal food from the other. They’re both on their diets to lose some weight so feeding times are in order now for them.

About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.
About: Available on some weekdays and weekends, will incorporate lots of exercise and playtime, have years of experience with caring for dogs, like my dog Benji. I don’t prefer to do house-boarding just because my current family dog isn’t dog-friendly with others. Because I grew up without a dog and have always wanted one, I was hoping to fulfill that gap with caring for other dogs. I am responsible enough to ensure everything will go smoothly, and have a calm demeanor in case of emergencies. Having always been a dog lover, I can provide you with the service of being rest assured that the relationship between your dog and me will be a reciprocal and enjoyable one! About: I grew up with dogs and for the past 7 years I’ve been a cat mom. I have experience with dogs, cats, rodents and some reptiles. I’m an animal lover so it’s easy for me to adjust to new pets 😊 I’m currently doing school online and I do work part time but for the most part I can work around my schedule for your babies! I do not have a fence which is why I would not mind being in a client’s home. I would also love for your pet to feel comfortable where they know.
