About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. About: I have had my dog now for almost 10 years. I used to care for my dog as well as a roommates dog at one point. I can give medications and can provide First Aid/Heimlich if needed. Strong enough to hold back and tame my 60 pound Boxer mix. I’ve also helped care/walk my sisters Great Dane and my friends smaller dogs for 7 years or so. I grew up caring for my Hungarian Vizsla into college as well, even while he got sick and eventually had to be put down. I have experience owning rabbits, gerbils, dogs, cats. I live with two sweet cats now with my boyfriend and his mother, I’m home most of the time taking care of them. I love animals and have always felt more comfortable with them than humans sometimes. I believe every pet should be taken care of with compassion and a watchful eye. Since I am a university student online my schedule is very open and flexible. I expect most pet sitting jobs to require seeing the animals at least 3 times a day, every day needed. Our cats are kept inside most of the time but we do have a yard with a fence that allows them to be outside supervised. If the weather allows for it, we let them out to get exercise in and just have some stimulation. We have to feed them separately as one cat likes to try to steal food from the other. They’re both on their diets to lose some weight so feeding times are in order now for them.
About: I can guarantee your pet is cared for and has everything they need to be comfortable. Their needs will be prioritized and met. My whole life pets have gravitated towards me and felt safe next to me. Pet care is in my everyday routine because I have my dog Oreo. From the time I wake up, my Oreo is there and ready to start the day with me. He loves going outside first thing and then coming back in to eat and relax. We also have daily walks and enrichment activities to keep him healthy. I care for pets by providing fresh and clean food and water, clean litter or outside potty breaks, attention and enrichment through playing, and a comfortable place to sleep & relax. (and of course treats!)
About: I grew up with dogs and for the past 7 years I’ve been a cat mom. I have experience with dogs, cats, rodents and some reptiles. I’m an animal lover so it’s easy for me to adjust to new pets 😊 I’m currently doing school online and I do work part time but for the most part I can work around my schedule for your babies! I do not have a fence which is why I would not mind being in a client’s home. I would also love for your pet to feel comfortable where they know.
About: I’ve owned animals all my life. I am just starting to help others. I’m at a stage in my life where this would work good for me and I’m sure for you. I am currently working for myself part time so I can always make plenty of time for your animals. I can come for play and a potty break, a walk or I can stay as long as needed. I will stay with your pet during a potty break and play time. I will keep your pets leashed and safe during walks. I can even stay the night to ensure safety.
About: I am careful to heed owners instructions on how to care for their furbaby to create peace of mind and maintain a respectful relationship between the animals and humans. I work Full-time on the weekend. I can accept reservations and check-ins starting by 3PM on Mondays. Pets must be checked-out/picked up by 3PM Saturday. Currently have 2 Siberian huskies to entertain your pooch. Both huskies are well-socialized and engage very well with other canines. House is cleaned and sanitized on the daily to prevent any contagious illnesses. Exercise is done through nature trails in the area. If owners are comfortable with dog parks, I am a member to multiple private dog parks to ensure privacy and freedom to run around from other unauthorized/stranger canines.
