Both Tom and Nikki show them constant love and care - they communicate regularly and often and got some of the funniest videos of all the pups playing together. I can tell based on my dogs energy how they felt after a long stay somewhere away from me, once I picked them up from this stay they were relaxed and full of energy and clearly felt safe and not stressed during their stay. About: I don't have any professional experience, but I've grown up in a family that has housed a lot of dogs and cats since I was born. We've had 4 dogs and 7 cats from my early childhood until today, so while I did obviously have the rest of my family to assist with them, I've still had firsthand experience with a lot of different behaviors and habits of these pets and how certain traits or preferences vary between them. I finished college at UGA recently, so I'm currently at home full-time. Pet care would be pretty easy to fit into my weekly schedule. I always try to make sure I feed my cat her treats once a day around the same time, so consistent feeding and cleaning wouldn't be that much harder with additional pets. I am gone some evenings on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but other than that my time is fully open to help your pets stay relaxed, happy, and healthy. My backyard has a fence, but it's currently old and unrepaired, so the gates cannot close properly, so any pets prone to running will be staying inside or on a leash. My house is very small, but my front and backyard are very spacious, ideal for pets that are uncomfortable in small spaces. My cat can be skittish around other animals, so I will need to keep her in a separate space from them, but my family's done that with many of our cats, so it will not be a problem for the client or their pets. My roommate stays inside most of the time, so but he's also very friendly and should not pose any issues for the pets.

I can also do drop ins pretty regularly. I graduated college with a degree in Veterinary technology and passed my state boards. I have two in tact opposite gender fur babies, who have never been cared for by anyone but their in home family….us. My family and I went on a 5 day vacation and needed to have them walked 3x per day. Due to the turnaround time, the walker needed to be booked within 48 hours. Being a novice, I thought I would need to cancel my family’s vacation. Cheyenne accepted my booking and was such a gem! Cheyenne went above and beyond during the 5 days she was booked to walk my two fur babies. She was so kind to keep with their walk times to the minute. She was never late and always on time. I also was a trainer for the guide dog foundation while I was in college so I have extensive training in dog training. I occasionally have classes during the week, so I’ll already be up bright and early! I will provide your pets with loving attention, frequent walks and bathroom breaks, even playtime. I am sure to create a safe environment for your fur babies, if that means a mini play date or introduction session before sitting I am down for it all. I will stay loyal to the given instructions with proper feeding times and administer medication if/when needed.
About: I have loved dogs since I was a child and have had them all growing up. Professionally I have worked at a overnight dog boarding kennel for two years! I work Monday through Friday with autistic children but I’m available before and after work as well as the whole weekends to take care of your pups! I love to take care of dogs in their own home so that they will feel more safe and secure in the safety of their own space!
About: I grew up with all kinds of pets and have provided short and long term pet care for friends, neighbors, and clients for years! I also have two floofs myself, one of whom is a senior cat who has been with me for 7 years, so I’m comfortable with more advanced care, including administering medications. I’ll take the extra time and steps to make sure your pet is happy and healthy while you’re away. I’m brand new to Athens and my other job doesn’t start until early August. I have all the time in the world for your pet and would love to spend time with them as I acclimate to my new city! I’ve provided both short and long term house sitting services in the past. “This review is for the first extended stay after a previous single day stay and it was what I wish all stays could be like. For my two Dachshunds the setup at Nikki and Tom's is perfect. Both Tom and Nikki show them constant love and care - they communicate regularly and often and got some of the funniest videos of all the pups playing together. I can tell based on my dogs energy how they felt after a long stay somewhere away from me, once I picked them up from this stay they were relaxed and full of energy and clearly felt safe and not stressed during their stay.
