“Wenchi was amazing with Raya! She sent regular updates with pictures and gave her the best treats. She was really flexible with us as well. We got married and she was willing come to the venue to pick her up directly after the ceremony! It was a seamless pick up. And the she was willing to drop her off to us in a farther location. We even changed the location a few times, and she was willing and happy to. We are so happy with her communication and taking such good care of Raya. Highly recommend!!”

“Randi was awesome! She sent me daily updates and the pups came home happy and healthy! We normally board at a kennel, and one of our dogs barks herself hoarse- I was happy to find that our female was much more comfortable in Randi’s home! We will be using her again!”

“Lupe and her family were wonderful to my dog Bruno. They took such great care of him and he’s not in. He’s not an easy dog. I recommend them highly. They were kind and considerate and I appreciate everything they did for my dog.”

“Dash had a wonderful time with Giezell and her family. They treated him as their own. He was well taken care of. Love the pics and videos Giezell sent, especially the one with her daughter hugging Dash! We will definitely be back!”

“Jessie has become Edward’s home away from home. He’s very comfortable with her and always happy to see her. She’s very observant about changes in his behavior and is very caring and patient with him. He’s so much happier staying with her than in a boarding kennel.”

“Tasha and her family were amazing. They took such good care of our dog and she sent tons of pictures throughout his stay. They made our dog feel like he was at home. He definitely loved being there.”

“Annie was great with my nervous dog. Annie responded quickly to my messages as we prepared for my dog's stay with her, and sent me pictures while my dog was in her care.”

“Valerie was great! We had never left Daisy with anyone for so long but Valerie went above and beyond to make sure Daisy had lots of fun with her, her own dog Karma, and any other visiting dogs. We have nothing but good things to say of Valerie as a dog sitter. Daisy can't wait to go back to the ranch!”

“Kirsten was great!! She was kind and communicative by sending me pics/vids with updates and was very reassuring as it was my first time having my boy away from home. I would definitely trust her to watch him again, 10/10”

“We love Sherry! She was so flexible with our booking. Our schedule changed and we had to modify our stay. Sherry worked with Rover to make it work for us and we are so thankful. Thank you Sherry!”

“John was absolutely fantastic! He took exceptional care of our two German Shepherds while we were away and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring and capable hands—we will gladly book with him again.”

“Achara took care of my little man for a couple days when I went out of town. She sent me updates throughout his stay, with pictures. It seemed like he had a great stay with her family and their dogs. I appreciate everything Achara did for me and the little pup!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of love, patience, and personalized care I give every dog as if they were my own. I understand that every pup has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, so I take the time to make sure they feel safe, happy, and at home while you’re away. I have experience caring for puppies who need extra attention, structure, potty training support, and plenty of playtime, as well as senior dogs who require a calmer environment, medication administration, slower walks, and gentle care. I’m attentive to body language, behavior, and individual needs, which helps dogs quickly build trust and feel comfortable with me. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, shy and anxious, or older and needing extra patience, I provide reliable supervision, lots of affection, consistent communication, and a clean, stress-free environment. My goal is not just to “watch” your pet it’s to give them a positive experience where they feel loved, secure, and excited to come back. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work part-time and mainly from home, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I’m able to maintain a flexible schedule for walks, potty breaks, feeding times, playtime, and cuddle time, while also making sure each pet sticks to their normal routine as closely as possible. Since I’m home most of the time, pets are rarely left alone for long periods, which helps them feel comfortable, safe, and less anxious while their owners are away. I truly enjoy having animals around and make their care a priority in my everyday life, giving them lots of love, patience, and one on one attention. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. Since I work part-time and mainly from home, I’m able to give pets plenty of supervision, attention, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Dogs staying in my home are welcome to roam freely and relax comfortably in the house rather than being confined, helping them feel more at ease and at home during their stay. I can also crate dogs if requested by the owner or if it’s part of the dog’s normal routine for sleeping, feeding, or downtime. I always prioritize safety by carefully monitoring interactions, maintaining a calm environment, and following each dog’s specific care instructions, routines, dietary needs, and comfort levels. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, stress free, and well cared for while giving owners peace of mind knowing their dog is in good hands.
“We have used Marya a few time for daycare. This is the first time we've had to leave town for a few days and Mochi has ever done boarding. He came home happy and healthy as usual.”

“Beyond fantastic! Kasandra kept our cocker while we were away for 2 weeks. Not only was he very well cared for—he was actually better than when we left him! He is way calmer and has better manners than he had at drop off. Kasandra gave me some pointers that will help me a lot with him at home. This gal is a dog whisperer!! I could not be more grateful. Thank you Kasandra!”

About: We’re experienced Rover users ourselves, so we understand how important it is to find someone you truly trust with your pet. After recently losing our German Shepherd, Ace, due to old age, we’ve been missing the joy of having more dogs around, and our lab, Indie, would love a playmate. We have a home with a secure yard and are excited to offer a safe, loving environment for dogs while their owners travel or need extra support. We treat every dog like family, with plenty of attention, playtime, and care tailored to their needs. Whether your pup is energetic or prefers a slower pace, we’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and at home. For everyone’s safety and happiness, dogs must get along well with Indie, and we require a meet-and-greet before booking. I am a nurse in Davis and my wife works from home which allows for flexibility throughout the day. We stay pretty scheduled but have the availability to cater to our dogs needs! We have a fully fenced yard with a friendly lab. We love being outside and going for walks in west Davis. Since we used to have 2 dogs we are familiar with leash safety and navigating other dogs on walks.
“Gidget had a blast staying a few days at Michael and Melissa's home. Bonus...she got to play with kids, Mr Bubbles and a bird!!!! Michael and Melissa were very accommodating. Gidget is looking forward to the next visit! Highly recommend for your furry family member if it's for a day or several days!”

About: While I've not cared for a cat of my own, I've had years of experience caring for friends' and neighbors' cats before providing cat care services on Rover. “Virginia took such great care of our kitty while we were away. She went above and beyond, spending extra time with her and sending photos. I knew our cat was in good hands which gave us peace of mind. Virginia is very conscientious and thoughtful, and I highly recommend her.”

“Audrey went above and beyond! I felt really great with my cats in her care. She made sure each cat was taken care of, had their medication….and I even got some sweet photos! I rebooked Audrey immediately for my next vacation. Thank you!”

About: What sets me apart as a cat sitter is my lifelong, hands-on experience with cats in both multi-cat and individual home environments. My goal is to create a calm, stress-free experience for both cats and their owners, treating every cat as if they were my own.
About: I have always taken care of pets since I was little ranging from cats and dogs to reptiles to any pet not a person that needed to take care of that near me. I only have two in person classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and other than that I am free no other job except school right now :) I have always taken care of my family’s pet, especially my sisters which her house consist of a golden retriever and a poodle and a Chihuahua. The poodle is very very old and she is an elderly dog, so she’s blind and has arthritis and going to deaf, so I was always used to cleaning up and guided her to the restroom or her food and still focusing on the other pets, giving everyone the proper love and care at the exact same time.

“Yuri was absolutely amazing! She answered my last minute request, and she was super polite and professional. She welcomed my cat into her home as if she was hers. Would totally book with her again!!”

“Valerie is amazing! I had never needed to hire anyone to look after my dog before, so I had a bit of anxiety about leaving him, but Valerie soon put me at ease. Norman looked forward to Valerie’s visits every day, and it was clear that she not only has plenty of experience but also is incredibly compassionate. My dog is older, and she was great about giving him the right amount of activity and attention based on his behavior each day. I’ll be recommending Valerie to everyone I know.”

About: Besides caring for my own dog for nearly 13 years, including nearly a year of hospice care, I also have experience volunteering at animal sanctuaries and cat-sitting for roommates and neighbors. I consider companion animals to be family members, and the care I provide reflects that belief. I work from home, and my schedule is flexible, so I’m easily able to accommodate anything an animal in my care needs. I can provide multiple walks, feedings, and potty breaks a day, whether at your house or mine. Because I work remotely, I’m able to keep your dog or cat company all day. I have a fenced backyard, though it’s small, and I live near a dog park. I have a small crate and a larger soft-sided kennel that can be used if that’s something that makes your dog feel more comfortable; otherwise, pets are free to roam and are welcomed on furniture. I have steps to help smaller or senior dogs get on the couch, and there’s a dog bed in every room of my house. I only board for one client at a time, so your dog(s) will have my full attention while you're away, and you'll never have to worry about interactions with other pets. In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I'm also private insured as a pet-sitter through PCI, so your pets are well-covered.

“Best Rover pet sitter I’ve used! Sherry has an ideal setup for small dogs with hardwood in the house and a fenced in backyard. Incredibly responsive via text and Rover app. I was visiting Vacaville and did two days of daycare on very short notice so I could go shopping. If I lived closer she would be my go-to pet sitter!”

“Another fun day with Giezell! She and her family are the best! My dog loves going to her house for day care - and I know he is happy and safe while I am at work. Gryffin and I both highly recommend Giezell!!”

“Wonderful home away from home for my little guy. The property is perfect for doggy day care with plenty of open space and animals to keep your pups curious. Lacey is extremely accommodating and a true animal lover!”

About: I have been watching friends pets since I have had dogs. I also was a trainer for Remedy Retrievers so I know what it’s like to be around a puppy 24/7. I currently work from home. And when I am working, regardless if I’m at home or out in the field, my boyfriend will take over. I have a fenced yard with two very friend golden retrievers. Georgia is 2 and Randy is 1. We have a dog door for frequent potty breaks and our yard is very secure so there’s no chance of your dog getting out. Our house is all hard word so if you’re worried about accidents, it’s easy clean up. Georgia (my dog) loves new friends. She frequents the dog park so she is used to always meeting new faces!
“Amazing!!! This was our first experience and Maria was so great and communicated the whole time. She sent pictures and even sent us home with some doggy art!!! Saint barely wanted to leave, which is a great feeling to have when you’re picking up your loved pup. We will definitely be back and refer others to her in specific!!! If there were 100 stars that would be our rating!!!”

“Camille is amazing! From our meet and greet to my golden retrievers stay with her, she was so friendly and knowledgeable. It’s rare I trust anyone with my fur baby, but she made me feel so comfortable and sent me pictures of my pup and updates frequently. Would def have her watch my pup again! Thank youuuu!!”

“Haruka and Daniel were wonderful, and incredibly kind! My dog Sybil had a little trouble with some anxiety after I left and they did a great job keeping her comfortable despite it and keeping me updated. By the time I got there she was right at home and ready to play! We'd definitely love to book again next time!”

“Shanna and Matthew were wonderful for Idris! I was nervous about using Rover and leaving him with someone new most of the day. They reassured me he would be fine and they have a lot of experience with different dogs and puppies. Idris (my 5 month old puppy) had a great time and was well taken care of. When I picked him he was super happy. I love that they are local and have a good set up for dogs. I will definitely book with them again.”

“Marya has been taking good care of Finley weekly since he was just a puppy. She is very patient with my high energy dog and he gets extremely excited every time we pull into her driveway area :)”

“We had a great experience with Elliott. We did a meet and greet which I felt was very responsible. His dogs are awesome and got along well with my girls. Pick up was easy and even though I was late he did not mind. I will use him again!”

About: I've cared for many pets since I was 8 yrs old. I earn pets trust easily & will care for them like they are my own. I've done multiple overnights with pets & the owners keep asking for me back. I have a dog of my own for 9 years, which I had potty trained him in a month, and he is versed in multiple commands. I have worked with puppies to senior dogs and the same for kittens to senior cats. I have also taken care of multiple pets with special needs and/or requirements that were met really well according to their owners. Lastly, I love photography and am pretty decent with capturing photos of pets. I have a pretty open schedule. I can make multiple trips over or stay over depending on the needs required. I understand the need for constant potty breaks throughout the day and have much experience with walking a dog. I will care for your pet like it is my own with love, intentially, compassion, and trust. I will make individual time for each pet providing love, care, and affection based on the level the client and pet are comfortable with. I would like to set up a meeting with the owner/s and pet/s in person to get a better idea of what is being asked of me and get to know everyone involved especially your pet/s first before I can agree to care and services. This gives me a better idea if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I can account for and provide extra attention to. Also if there is specific routines you have in place for your pet/s that I can try to learn and follow to provide the best experience for your pet/pets, while giving the owner/s peace of mind while they are gone. I am a hard-worker and detail-oriented. I strive to complete every task required of me and am respectful of other's space, home, and belongs. My general practice is to try to keep a place neat and tidy, by clean up after myself, and after a pet/s, such as picking up dog poop and will also consider cleaning up puke.
About: I have provided care and love for my own dogs as well as others through pet sitting and walking for over a decade. I will care for your pets as if they are my own. I am stationed at Travis AFB and currently flying the C-5 Galaxy. I have an open schedule and willing to provide whatever is needed for your needs! I have just moved into the area to fly at Travis AFB and will bring professionalism and love to your pets as if they are my own! You can trust that they will be loved and cared for!
About: I have cared for dogs, cats, horses, ferrets, fish, birds and even raccoons! I’m a huge animal lover! I’ve had a dog since I was born and the love of animals has been instilled in me from my family! I have three dogs of my own and I love them more than anything! I am a full time nurse so I do dog walking and check ins on the side. But please don’t let that stop you from sending me a request! If I can make it work I will! Please reach out. Having three dogs of my own helps me to understand how important it is to provide the best care to our pets and to give them all the love and attention possible! I have three fur babies of my own, pet safety is one of the most important things for me. I am always cautious around other animals when out walking. Leash is always on and I would always follow your directions as you know your animals best!
About: I’ve grown with and provided care for dogs since I can remember! My family had my soul dog (a boxer) until she was 15, so I know good care from bad! I’m currently raising and training an 8.5 month old Great Dane mix who loves ALL! I also have a 3 yr old nosey kitty. They get along great and I know will welcome your pups with wagging tails!! I am a full time government employee but I have lots of flexibility in my schedule! I work from home once a week, and have every other Friday off. Weekends are typically spent at home. If a safe space for your pup is what you’re looking for, I know my home can be that place! I have a fenced in yard, a dog run attached to the garage with a large crate/bed for comfort, toys and water and a large crate indoors as well, if some alone time is warranted. There are no doggy doors in my home so they will only be let out when I warrant it, less room for escapes! I don’t have any children, so we’re a fairly quiet home as well.
About: I worked as a behavioral tech for over a year where I learned all about behavioral training. I’ve had great success with my own dog at home. We have almost always had a dog in my house and know how important of a family member they are. I dog sit for several families when they go on vacation and have been doing this for about a year or so. My background is with children and have a lot of patience and love as a result! I am available full time as of right now. If this changes, I will update my availability ASAP. I wouldn’t be away from the home for very long most of the time. Any occasion where I would be away from the home for a significant amount of time, I would first make sure that the dog was completely cared for (fed, watered, pottied, and played with) before leaving. I will not be providing care in my own home. However, I do know of a dog park in the area as well as public parks for walks.
“I had a great experience with Jackson walking my dog, Maggy. He was reliable, communicative, and sensitive to her needs—especially as a senior dog. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such caring hands during the day. I look forward to booking him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes—small, medium, and large. I’ve worked with pups from the puppy stage all the way through their senior years. I truly love being around dogs, and I’ve never met one that didn’t warm up to me. I’d say I have great dog energy and always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m currently a student pilot and typically fly 2–3 times during the week, usually on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. My flight lessons are about 2.5 hours, so I’m still able to fit dog care into my schedule on those days. I’m most available throughout the day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends. I’m happy to work with you and your pup’s schedule! I treat every dog I care for as if they were my own. I pay close attention to each dog’s unique needs, personality, and routine to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. About: I'm a lifelong animal lover and have cared for many dogs and cats. I have owned and provided care for both young and senior pets and those needing special care. Your cherished pets will get lots of TLC, affection and exercise, and I will care for them as if they were my own! I am retired and have a very flexible schedule to care for your cherished pets. I provide hourly, daily, and overnight services in your home. I will provide lots of TLC for your cherished pets in your home. I will play with them, feed them, and meet all their needs, including special diets and needed medication. I will walk your dogs and take them to the dog park if you wish. I will diligently follow your instructions and guidance and will treat your pets as if they were my own.
About: Grew up in an environment surrounded by dogs and cats and have always loved caring for animals. I am reliable, attentive, and comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, and providing plenty of affection to help pets feel at ease. Pet care fits well into my routine. I am completely free on Mondays. I work from home Wednesday and Friday, and am available after 430pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as on all day weekends. I enjoy spending time with animals and can provide dependable care, including walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and follow all instructions provided by the owner. I prioritize safety, maintain a clean environment, ensure pets have fresh water, meals, exercise, and attention, and provide updates so owners can feel confident their pets are well cared for while away.
About: I have lived with pets all my life and have over 6 years of professional experience in all kinds of animals (including but not limited to) birds, reptiles, and amphibians. I have 1 green cheek conure, 1 desert tortoise, 2 cats, and 1 dog myself. I can medicate your animals, but also help with training, exercise, grooming, and other enriching or basic husbandry care. I’ve recently moved to Woodland to help my sister with her kids, which leaves me some time for myself but not enough for a full time job. That’s where pet sitting comes in for me. Animal care is an important thing to me, and I love to know I’m helping your pet live their best life. Most pets will be comfortable in their own home so I can make house trips at least twice a day, perhaps more depending on where you are located respective to me. If you’d like me to take your little one into my own home, we can talk about it and go from there :)
About: I’ve always loved animals and have grown up with dogs in my home. For the past 8 years, I’ve also had a cat who has taught me so much about patience, care, and the unique bond we share with our pets. Between my own pets and caring for friends’ cats and dogs, I’ve gained experience with different personalities, ages, and needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I truly enjoy making pets feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care is naturally part of my daily life since I’ve always had animals at home. I love starting and ending the day with walks, playtime, or cuddle sessions. Because I currently have a very flexible schedule, I can easily fit in feeding, exercise, and companionship throughout the day, making sure pets feel loved and cared for just like they would with their own family. In my home or in a client’s home, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the routines they’re used to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or quiet companionship so they feel at ease. I give lots of attention, cuddles, and exercise when needed, and I’m always careful to keep their environment clean, calm, and stress-free. Every pet is unique, and I make sure to adjust to their needs so they feel cared.
“Courtney came over to visit our dog a week prior to walking. She’s super friendly, reliable, communicative, and awesome, and we are so excited to have her back to walk him!”

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my lifelong, hands-on experience with animals in both multi-pet and individual home environments. Growing up in a household with nine cats gave me a strong understanding of different feline personalities, routines, and behaviors. I currently care for my own 3-year-old cat, which has further deepened my experience with daily care, health awareness, and enrichment. In addition to cat care, I also have experience with dogs through pet sitting. As a teenager, I regularly watched my neighbor’s dogs, and I have also pet sat and house sat for family members, caring for both cats and dogs. I’ve also provided overnight care, which taught me how to maintain routines, ensure comfort through the night, and handle responsibilities independently while owners are away. I’m especially attentive to each animal’s unique personality and needs, whether they’re shy, energetic, independent, or social. I prioritize keeping their routines consistent, maintaining clean and comfortable environments, and making sure they feel safe and secure while their owners are gone. I’m also highly communicative and provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to create a calm, stress-free experience for both pets and owners, treating every animal as if they were my own. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent care throughout the week. During my summer session, I’m available after 2:00 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, before noon and after 6:00 PM on Tuesdays and Fridays, 11:45 AM–3:00 PM and after 6:00 PM on Thursdays, and I have full availability on Saturdays and Sundays. This flexibility allows me to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and overnight care as needed. I am also available and willing to stay overnight when needed to ensure pets are comfortable and cared for at all times. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize following all instructions closely to maintain their normal routine and comfort. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, clean litter boxes or outdoor breaks, and receive attention, play, and care based on their needs. I respect the client’s home, keep everything clean and secure, and ensure doors, gates, and safety measures are always properly handled. I also provide regular updates so owners feel reassured and connected while they’re away.

About: Extensive experience as a vet tech for over 5 years, experience raising future service dog puppies from 8 weeks old, currently a third year veterinary student, equipped to handle pet emergencies I am working 2 days a week in an emergency pet hospital so I have lots of time outside of those days to spend with your pets! “Shawna is such an amazing dog walker! I am very particular on who is around/handles my dog and she has always gone above and beyond to make sure my dog is safe and happy! It’s such a huge piece of mind knowing that he’s is getting exercise while I’m at work. She always leaves the best reports for me to read after their walks 😊 Thank you Shawna for loving my dog as much as I do!”

“Jessie has become Edward’s home away from home. He’s very comfortable with her and always happy to see her. She’s very observant about changes in his behavior and is very caring and patient with him. He’s so much happier staying with her than in a boarding kennel.”

“If I could, I would give Shanna 10 stars. Truly, she was a godsend. We adopted a sweet, albeit unruly border terrier two weeks before we had to leave for an extended weekend. We soon found out he was aggressive towards other dogs and cats on walks. I was nervous about a kennel and stumbled upon rover.com. I found Shanna and met”
“Roy was incredible. 5 stars isn't enough! I panicked when our dog sitter cancelled the morning we were supposed to leave for our family vacation but luckily we found Roy. Our dog can be a bit of a handful. This was our first time going away and leaving our dog with someone so I was a little nervous but I would leave our dog with Roy any day. I can't even put into words our gratitude.”

“Reginay is an amazing person!! She looked after my dog very well and she was able to share a lot of pictures and kept me up to date on how my dog was doing through the whole booking. I would highly recommend her to anyone using this app. She goes above and beyond for our pets!!!”

“Brandon watched our two dogs for almost a week while we went out of town. He was fantastic! Super communicative the entire time and made them feel right at home. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in good hands and having a little vacation themselves! Thank you for everything Brandon!”

“Pontida took my chrissy in last moment, for a fair price, and with lots of love. She sent pictures with updates, letting me know that chrissy was ok and doing well. Chrissy had a great time and I could not have asked for a better pet sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teenager. I grew up in a household that always had multiple pets (fish, dogs, hamsters) and have since expanded my love for animals by dog sitting and cat sitting for friends and family in the neighborhood. I am offering dog walking, sitting and other pet care services for whatever furry friend you need! I’m excited to get started with Rover and build community connections in Davis! I am currently a UC Davis student looking for a part-time way to make extra money and spend more time outside and with animals! I love going on long walks and hanging out at the dog park, or just entertaining your pet at home. I live in an apartment with an unfenced yard. When I dog sit for friends, I make sure to give regular potty breaks every couple of hours and maintain an environment that is safe and comforting for your pet.
“Camille was awesome, this was our first time leaving Duke with someone other than family and friends. She was very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable. Duke was very well cared for and we would book Camille again”
