About: I spent 6 years volunteering at Animal Care and Control of San Francisco, where I started out helping with adoptions and reuniting lost cats with their families. I went on to volunteer as a PURR (Play, Uplift, Reinforce, Relax) volunteer, specializing in helping new and stray cats settle in, building their confidence and sociability so they're ready for adoption. I worked closely with cats who were shy, scared, or unsure of new people, and learned how to read their body language and let them come to me on their own terms. At home, I'm a longtime cat owner myself (2 cats!) and have informally cat sat for friends, handling feeding, fresh water, litter, and playtime. Whether your cat is the confident, cuddly type or more reserved and needs a slower introduction, I'll take the time to make them feel safe and loved in their own space.

About: I love cats! I have my kitty Chester, a sweet orange tabby for about a year, I'm raising with my partner Dan (LGBTQIA). He's almost 2. I have taken care of friend's cats before. I have a PhD in Cognitive Science and work as a UX designer and CPO of my AI ed-tech startup to teach STEM to students visually through simulations. Hence, I think a lot about cat theory of mind, how to build trust and empathy with cats and how to measure it (to know how I'm doing!). I also love to have fun playing with bird toys, ball toys and many other. I'm a very anxious and careful person by nature which is to your benefit: I will be very careful about following all of your rules (I'm the same way with Chester), likely wear gloves and long sleeves the first time so none of us need to worry about biting and will keep you informed of everything that goes on with your kitty. About: I used to raise Irish Setters for many years. Have always had dogs of all varieties....my last pet was with me for 22 years and now I have Ricky. I also welcome extended stays for your pets. They are always welcome here. I work from home all the time and my schedule is my own. I have an enclosed backyard and Ricky and I enjoy time at the local park and going for walks. Enclosed back yard and easy access to my apartment. This is a very safe and welcoming environment that welcomes dogs of all kinds. They cannot exit outside by themselves except to the back yard. They get two good walks every day and several play outings in the backyard to play ball or bathe in the sun.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since 2015, starting while I was in school and continuing over the years by helping friends and their pets with everything from daily walks to longer stays. A big part of my experience comes from caring for my own two dogs. One is very anxious and requires a calm, patient approach to build trust, and the other has occasional seizures and takes medication three times a day. I take my own dogs out at least 4 times daily, plus one longer walk, and I’d include your dog in that same routine. Because I’m home most of the time, your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will get consistent care, playtime, and companionship. I provide a calm, safe, and structured environment tailored to each dog’s needs. I’m experienced with anxious dogs and comfortable administering medication and following specific routines. At home, I ensure slow, supervised introductions with my dogs and offer access to nearby parks and a private dog park in my building. “Megan is awesome. She has a fantastic place with a nice backyard I’m sure Max enjoyed. Max was recovering from an injury and Megan took great care, keeping that cone of shame firmly in place. We will definitely leave Max with Megan again!”
“Brianna and Jerry did a great job taking care of Domingo who is a 1 and 1/2-year-old mix of labrador and Shepherd, and he is high energy. They sent videos and photos everyday and ask me questions about Domingo's diet. They also helped with training him not to pull on the leash. They both love dogs and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.”

“Maria was so great! This was my pup’s (Wednesday) first time staying anywhere without me and I was quite nervous about leaving her with a stranger. Maria set up a meet-and-greet and I got to see her beautiful home + backyard, and intro Wednesday to her pup (+the other dogs she was caring for). It’s clear that Maria has put a lot of effort into having a good space to host dogs and this had me feeling a lot more comfortable leaving my pup with her for the weekend. Maria sent lots of photos while I was away. It was clear that Wednesday enjoyed her stay 😁”

About: I’ve been around dogs pretty much my whole life, whether it was my standard poodle as a young kid, my mini poodle as a teenager or, more recently, the senior dogs I’ve fostered or adopted from Muttville. Dogs have always been in good hands with me. Right now my wife and I have two dachshund chihuahua mixes we adopted at five and six. Our home is a dog home. They’re on the couch, on the bed and even under the covers (if they want to burrow). They’re in the mix and they’re loved. If your dog has medications, I’ve got it. If they have special needs or they’re older and need a slower pace, I have ample experience with that. I’m currently dedicating my time to taking care of pups, so your pup will have my undivided attention throughout the days and evenings. The max amount of time I’d leave your dog alone would be for four hours. I have two dogs of my own that I would keep separate from your dog to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. I have a fully fenced backyard with a couple of stairs. I also have pet stairs inside to help senior dogs get up on to the couch and bed
“Jose was the perfect sitter for our blue heeler/Great Pyrenees mix, Kuma. Kuma is a very shy dog and tends to get scared quickly but Jose built a strong connection with him quickly and offered plenty of exercise, stimulation, and care to him during his stay. Daily updates kept us updated on how Kuma was doing and I’d even go as far to say Kuma’s walking etiquette was a little better after his stay! I would recommend Jose to anyone and will definitely reach out to him again for any sitting, walking, or training needs in the future.”
“Andrea was amazing! Our Pomeranian is a high-energy and also high-anxiety dog, and our normal local sitter was out of town. We have had so-so results in the past getting a backup dogsitter on short notice, but Andrea went above and beyond. She reached out to figure out what would work best for his schedule (letting me know when she planned to be out of the house, etc. and making sure he would be okay being alone for whatever period), was extremely attentive, befriended our nervous dog surprisingly fast, and gave him a ton of exercise. Every picture we got (and there were many!) was extremely reassuring, as he looked increasingly happy and relaxed despite his new environment. Andrea was super meticulous about asking if he had any special feeding/walk/play/sleep schedule - he did not need any special attention in this way but the fact that she proactively inquired demonstrated how seriously she took taking care of him. Andrea was very flexible with drop off/pickup and was very communicative. Her place was safe, clean, and she took great care in trying to arrange blankets/etc. to make Sesame more comfortable (which he clearly was!). She gave us total peace of mind the entire trip and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, reliable dog sitter!”
