“This was our first time boarding our kitty with a sitter and we had the best experience with Xiaoying. From the beginning and until we picked up our kitty, communication with Xiaoying was fantastic. She was very prompt in answering all my questions and really put me at ease. Throughout the stay, we received regular updates and photos, which made us feel confident that our kitty was in great hands. Xiaoying also took time and care to introduce our kitty to her own beautiful cats. I want to point out that a definite plus for me was that Xiaoying’s home is immaculate and my kitty had her own room. It was obvious that Xiaoying genuinely cared and went above and beyond to make our kitty feel comfortable and at home. She was very attentive to our kitty’s needs including her water intake, bathroom habits and her diet. At one point, my kiddos were afraid our kitty wouldn’t want to come home, that she was too comfortable at Xiaoying’s. When we picked her up, our kitty was relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking again in the future. Highly recommend!”

She was gracious enough to allow us to bring Huxley over for a quick meetup with her and her lovely family), before the scheduled stay. Banafshe followed up with us the day of to confirm what time we would be dropping Huxley off. Unexpectedly, our pup had a tooth pulled prior to the boarding, and Banafshe was very helpful in ensuring Huxley received his medication (in his food). About: I’ve had cats and kittens since childhood and honestly can’t remember a time when cats were not part of my family. Currently, I have two 5-year-old rescue cats, Piper and Gimli, who are very much part of my daily life. At home, we have a cat wheel that Piper enthusiastically uses several times a day, as well as a stroller the cats jump into when they want to be pushed around the house. I usually take them from room to room, talking to them and describing where we are. They enjoy having individual turns, and Gimli especially likes curling up in the stroller for naps. He also loves “Cat TV” and will sit on the ottoman staring toward the television until I turn it on for him. Both cats are very attached and tend to follow me everywhere — supervising me in the kitchen, “helping” at my desk, curling up on my lap while I relax, and sleeping on my bed each night. They are strictly indoor cats. Over the years, I’ve also cared for cats with medical needs. Previous cats required hydration injections, which I administered myself, along with pills and liquid medications when needed. I trim Piper’s nails regularly, although Gimli is much stronger and more sensitive about handling. He prefers affection on his own terms and enjoys relaxing high up in the cat tree, while Piper is more independent overall. I frequently care for my son’s cats as well. His family previously had two senior cats who lived to age 17 and required ongoing medication, including insulin injections for diabetes. They now have two energetic young kittens, which requires careful supervision because the family also has a Husky who is not yet trustworthy around small animals. Managing boundaries and keeping the kittens safe has become an important part of their daily routine. I also care for my former neighbor’s cat whenever she travels. Although shy with most people, she has become very comfortable with me and greets me enthusiastically when I arrive. I typically visit her two or three times a day so she has companionship, playtime, and attention in addition to basic care. In addition, I’ve cared for a friend’s cats while she was away, and her remaining cat still happily greets me whenever I visit. Animals have always seemed to trust and respond well to me. It’s very rare for one to act aggressively toward me, and I genuinely enjoy earning their comfort and confidence.

About: I am retired as of a few years ago, and we just lost our Bailey girl at 14 years old a few years back. I haven’t adopted a new dog since and instead am taking care of our kids dogs when they go out of town but do miss having a dog around. About: As an animal lover since a small age, I’ve always been the go-to neighbor and friend to care for other’s beloved pets while they’re away. It’s a bright spot in my day to share some time with furry family members. I love cats, and I’d like to think I’m a bit of a cat whisperer. We have two cats, Bartleby and Butterscotch, both rescues. I understand cats can be timid with new people and need time to feel safe to reveal themselves. I feel I’m good at communicating my intentions and seem to gain their trust quickly through finding just the right way to speak and pet them. Dogs are wonderful companions. I always hate to travel and leave our 5 year old Frenchie named Brutus behind. I had the honor of training him since he was 10 weeks old. Brutus came along right as our senior rescue dog Bill was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and needed daily medication to help treat it and eventually wearing diapers around the clock. Bill was a Yorkie-poodle mix with skin allergies and needed daily medication. I got to experience the senior dog that was slowing down and needing more care while training a high energy puppy. So I’m fully able and ready to care for dogs at any stage of their lives. I’m great at meeting them we’re they’re at and gaining their trust. I’d be more than happy to help care for your cats and dogs! I’m working part time and have time in the mornings, and after 2pm until late into the night for any help you may need. I am happy to take your dog on walks and play with them, as well as feed and spend time with any cats you may have in your home.

Some cats enjoy active attention, while others simply appreciate a calm, reassuring presence. At times, I’ll sit and read quietly so they feel relaxed and accompanied. For evening visits, I can turn on small lights (or follow any specific household instructions) and turn them off during morning visits. Before leaving, I tidy up toys, make sure feeding areas are clean, return everything to its original place, and ensure the home is secure and locked. I also like to send occasional photos or updates so owners can see that their pets are safe, happy, and doing well.

Banafshe followed up with us the day of to confirm what time we would be dropping Huxley off. Unexpectedly, our pup had a tooth pulled prior to the boarding, and Banafshe was very helpful in ensuring Huxley received his medication (in his food). Throughout the time of the boarding she provided thoughtful updates and photos and was very responsive. She checked in with us to confirm when we would be picking up Huxley and made sure his items we left with her, were in his bag. 10/10. “Ellie recently cared for our two dogs while we were away for several days. From the moment we dropped them off, it was evident that Ellie takes her job as a caregiver very seriously. She has a nice set up for both dogs, with beds, crates, and a fenced outdoor area for play. She adhered to the general schedule we provided, and offered a balanced diet, exercise and walk routines, lots of cuddles, and a comfortable area for them to rest. This is the first time we've ever had our dogs come home more well behaved than when we left. Ellie clearly loves the dogs in her care; she's warm, patient, and genuinely affectionate. She goes out of her way to create a positive and nurturing environment, and even offered some great suggestions for later, when she noticed Max didn't really care for his food. We also received multiple daily updates, both photo and video, and loved seeing what they were up to throughout the day. It was very reassuring. Our younger dog is anxious and not well socialized; she had a rough upbringing before she came to us and we've never boarded her because we didn't know if she would be comfortable. She did so well, and we feel like we can travel occasionally again, knowing that our dogs will be safe, happy, and well cared for with Ellie and her family.”
