There’s nothing like peace of mind when you have to be away from your four-legged family members. My husband and I currently work from home and will shower your fur baby with love and attention. They will be well cared in our home. Availability most days with enough notice. We have a fully fenced patio great for potty breaks, basking in the sun, or resting in the shade. Pets are always accompanied when outside for safety. Inside is always a comfortable 72 degrees. We have a 2-story home with hard-wood floors, but area rugs in most rooms make it nice and cozy for pups. We are a calm and quiet household who prefers dogs with matching energy, but we still like to play and run several times a day, followed by well-deserved naps. I’m happy to preserve your fur baby’s routine when they are in my care. We didn’t know what to do. A friend suggested using rover as they were using rover for their dog during the holidays break. About: I’ve had cats and kittens since childhood and honestly can’t remember a time when cats were not part of my family. Currently, I have two 5-year-old rescue cats, Piper and Gimli, who are very much part of my daily life. At home, we have a cat wheel that Piper enthusiastically uses several times a day, as well as a stroller the cats jump into when they want to be pushed around the house. I usually take them from room to room, talking to them and describing where we are. They enjoy having individual turns, and Gimli especially likes curling up in the stroller for naps. He also loves “Cat TV” and will sit on the ottoman staring toward the television until I turn it on for him. Both cats are very attached and tend to follow me everywhere — supervising me in the kitchen, “helping” at my desk, curling up on my lap while I relax, and sleeping on my bed each night. They are strictly indoor cats. Over the years, I’ve also cared for cats with medical needs. Previous cats required hydration injections, which I administered myself, along with pills and liquid medications when needed. I trim Piper’s nails regularly, although Gimli is much stronger and more sensitive about handling. He prefers affection on his own terms and enjoys relaxing high up in the cat tree, while Piper is more independent overall. I frequently care for my son’s cats as well. His family previously had two senior cats who lived to age 17 and required ongoing medication, including insulin injections for diabetes. They now have two energetic young kittens, which requires careful supervision because the family also has a Husky who is not yet trustworthy around small animals. Managing boundaries and keeping the kittens safe has become an important part of their daily routine. I also care for my former neighbor’s cat whenever she travels. Although shy with most people, she has become very comfortable with me and greets me enthusiastically when I arrive. I typically visit her two or three times a day so she has companionship, playtime, and attention in addition to basic care. In addition, I’ve cared for a friend’s cats while she was away, and her remaining cat still happily greets me whenever I visit. Animals have always seemed to trust and respond well to me. It’s very rare for one to act aggressively toward me, and I genuinely enjoy earning their comfort and confidence.

I only expected her to clean the litter box and feed them, but by day 2, she was playing with them and giving them love. I was surprised because both animals are very shy to new people, but they must have sensed her natural instinct and warmed up to her immediately. About: I am retired as of a few years ago, and we just lost our Bailey girl at 14 years old a few years back. I haven’t adopted a new dog since and instead am taking care of our kids dogs when they go out of town but do miss having a dog around. I’ve cared for about 6 dogs over my lifetime, and would love to care for your pup too. We have a huge yard that is fenced in for them to go out and play and a large neighborhood great for walks. A few of the dogs I have taken care, love to run in our backyard because there is room for them to run. Since I’m retired I have plenty of free time to take care of and play with pups. I love dogs and enjoy interacting with them. I want them to be happy and safe. I have a large, fully fenced in backyard and a separate fenced in side yard both of which can be closed and keep the dog inside. I also welcome any crates if a dog feels more comfortable in a crate at night. If a dog is well behaved at night, they could also bring a bed and sleep next to our bed.

About: I have a good experience caring for senior dogs because I had my own dog who passed away three years ago. He was a 17-year-old Lhasa Apso and had been my best friend since I was born. He was blind and had trouble moving around, so I learned how to help him safely and give him the care and attention he needed. Over the past three years, I’ve also taken care of puppies, active dogs, older dogs, and dogs that needed medication, for quick walks, overnight stays and even long periods such as a 5 week stay. My goal is always to ensure their safety, happiness, and comfort while they’re in my care. I am available all day on Thursdays and weekends. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I am available before 10 a.m., and on Tuesdays, I am available after 1 p.m. I have a fenced yard where your pet can safely play and have fun. We have children in our home, and if you’re comfortable with it, they can play with your pet under careful supervision to ensure the safety of both your pet and the kids.
About: I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals over many years, including birds, cats, dogs, fish and others. I’m also the go-to caregiver for my son’s animals whenever needed. Friends know me as a dedicated animal lover and often reach out for help or advice in different pet and wildlife situations. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals in need and have rescued and cared for crows, hummingbirds, sparrows, finches and other wildlife over the years. I'm semi-retired and do volunteer work on Mondays. The rest of the week is fairly open so I can be flexible with your requirements. Typically, I stop by in the morning and then again in the late afternoon or evening depending on your preference. I believe pet care should involve more than simply feeding and leaving. I take time to make cats feel comfortable, cared for, and less lonely while their owners are away. During visits, I greet and talk to the cat, refresh water with clean bowls, provide meals according to instructions, and spend quality time doing whatever the cat enjoys most — whether that’s playing, brushing, petting, or simply sitting quietly nearby. I also check and clean the litter box as needed. Visits are typically about 30 minutes or longer, depending on the cat’s personality and level of interaction. Some cats enjoy active attention, while others simply appreciate a calm, reassuring presence. At times, I’ll sit and read quietly so they feel relaxed and accompanied. For evening visits, I can turn on small lights (or follow any specific household instructions) and turn them off during morning visits. Before leaving, I tidy up toys, make sure feeding areas are clean, return everything to its original place, and ensure the home is secure and locked. I also like to send occasional photos or updates so owners can see that their pets are safe, happy, and doing well.

About: We've had dogs almost all of our lives and because of our extraordinary care our last 3 dogs lived almost 18 years each. What a blessing they all were. The last one recently passed. We have experience with both puppies and senior dogs and are not afraid of dealing with their special issues. We understand, we all have special issues at times. We are looking forward to caring for your doggies, as well as you would care for them. My husband and I both work from home. We are free most of the day to care for your doggies. They will enjoy being with us and we will enjoy them. We live in a pet friendly suburban community with a doggie run, and lots of walking paths in our community, we also have a large park across the street. We always walk our dogs on a leash and are careful when being around other dogs or children during our walks, we stop and let others pass or we cross the street.
