“We truly cannot say enough amazing things about Bernard. During one of the most stressful and uncertain situations our family has experienced, he stepped in and helped us in a way that went far beyond simply watching our dogs. We had to suddenly evacuate due to a chemical leak and were scrambling to find care for our pups at the last minute, with no idea how long we would be displaced. Bernard responded almost immediately and took such a huge weight off our shoulders during a time that felt chaotic and overwhelming. We originally booked for four days because we had no idea when we’d be allowed to return home. When our evacuation was thankfully lifted earlier than expected, I reached out to Bernard and without hesitation he was incredibly understanding and flexible. He immediately adjusted our booking and even waived the cancellation fee! something that meant so much to us during an already stressful time. Throughout everything, he sent us pictures and videos of our pups and made sure we knew they were happy, safe, and being cared for. Seeing them relaxed and enjoying his big backyard brought us such comfort when we needed it most. Bernard didn’t just provide pet sitting, he provided kindness, compassion, reassurance, and peace of mind during a moment when our family really needed it. “This was my first time using the Rover app. I was very skeptical since I was so worried about my 2 big dogs (my kids) who are pretty young and don’t know their boundaries sometimes when it comes to people. I have a German shepherd and a Doberman. Yes big dogs who are very hyper. I had to leave for 7 days to another state due to an urgent family business. I found Annie and booked her last minute to take care of my dogs at my apartment. I was very worried for her because she is this tiny lady when I met her. My dogs easily tower over her. But don’t let her size fool you! She was very sweet to my dogs and very knowledgeable with a lot of dog care. She even introduced me to different puzzles my dog can use for the meantime. She always sent me updates and when she noticed something different with my dogs stomach issues, she was very prompt in letting me know and we talked about what we can change with their food intake. I really felt at ease having her take care of my dogs while I was thousands of miles away from them. Annie is an Angel that was sent to me especially at the last minute when I needed my family members (dogs) to be taken care of. Some of the pictures she took, my dogs looked so happy. I live in an upstairs apartment with a single roommate who owns a small male dog(neutered), and I own a male cat(neutered). I'll be watching over and caring for your fur baby in comfort and safety. Theyll have access to their food, water fountain, and their own bathroom. Your baby will be kept clean! We don't like germs or dirt. If they want company and cuddles it's always welcomed, so I make sure to maintain a healthy environment for all. I do not put animals and crates unless if I'm instructed otherwise. I do recommend bringing a little bed and toy for your pup if theyll be staying over night.

About: I’ve grown up in a dog loving family, from having as many as 5 dogs to being a single dog fam for a while. Always been a sucker for big dogs as i've owned alaskan malamutes, bernese mountain dogs and currently have a newfoundland. i also have had breeds like corgis and pom pom mixes and currently have a pitbull bull terrier mix & a shepsky as well! i’ve cared for neighbors smaller breeds while they’re out of town taking them on walks, feeding and just hanging out with them for periods of time. About: I have had several pets of my own growing up. It was always my responsibility to bathe, brush their teeth, buy & feed them, walk them, etc.. Again, not only was it dogs (different breeds), but also cats (breeds/colors/personalities), birds, chickens, fish, & goats. What sets me apart from other sitters is that from my own pets is that I adapt to their needs based on their behaviors & that I am observant. From my own experience owning a dog, I noticed she wouldn't eat the food provided. Attempted giving her different flavors of food and different textures. Eventually I had to hand feed her during the day. I raised her from a puppy 'til senior days. So it really hit hard when she passed away. I am up for the task even if its not the common pet ☺️ I'm currently working only on Fridays at a Healthcare facility from 7am-3pm. I am free to take care of your loving pet from Saturday - Thursday. However, any late night or overnight stay, whether at the clients home or my home, must be discussed. Before anything, a brief and/or detailed description of the pet breed & personality would be appreciated to help me adapt to their needs & wants. If there is any specific schedule you want to maintain with your pet, please inform me. I have a backyard, half cement and half grassy area for bringing the dog over. Depending on the breed & energy levels, we can go on walks and there's a park nearby. For the environment of the client's home, I would engage in play by short sprints & toys provided - walking with the dog if provided leash/harness, along with approval. Basic tasks like feedings during the day, walking, playing & watching over are already provided.

During one of the most stressful and uncertain situations our family has experienced, he stepped in and helped us in a way that went far beyond simply watching our dogs. We had to suddenly evacuate due to a chemical leak and were scrambling to find care for our pups at the last minute, with no idea how long we would be displaced. Bernard responded almost immediately and took such a huge weight off our shoulders during a time that felt chaotic and overwhelming. We originally booked for four days because we had no idea when we’d be allowed to return home.
