About: Over the past two years, I’ve been the proud pet parent of my rescue cat, Duckie, a beautiful York Chocolate cat. Bringing Duckie home taught me so much about building trust, understanding cat behavior, and creating a safe, loving environment where a cat can truly thrive. About: I've looked after cats and dogs. My experience has mainly been looking after my family's furry babies. Looking after two cats made me understand how time consuming pet care can get especially if medication is involved. Her two cats are completely different. Lion (10) is very kind, loves cuddles, and isn't shy. Orca (9) on the other hand prefers to stay away from people until he is ready to say hi from a distance. When looking after them I like knowing how their mom usually feeds them, what they like dislike and their favorite toys. Overall I treat anyone's home like my own. Additionally, having a German Shepherd/Husky 4 year old has shown me the endless attention and care dogs need. The importance of routine in a dogs life is what I value in dog ownership. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 13! I am currently on a Pre-Vet track while attending UC Merced. I have experience handling both cats and dogs in a veterinary clinic setting. I’ve worked with plenty of shelters where I would ensure the animals were well fed, socialized, and was able to create a clean/safe environment for them to the best of my abilities. I have 2 golden retriever dogs back in my hometown that I personally trained and raised since they were puppies when I lived with my parents. I’ve also helped care for my friends’ pets over the years. I regularly walked a friend’s poodle, making sure he got plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. In addition, I’ve house sat for friends with cats, caring for their daily routines by feeding them, refreshing their water, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, and giving them lots of affection while their owners were away. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. “Jack took such great care of our toy Aussie, Elu. She can be very shy and has separation anxiety but she seemed to adjust comfortably to being at Jack’s place. Jack was very attentive and extremely responsive. He was great about sharing pics and video to let us know Elu was doing well. It was so tough leaving her for a week but we felt relieved to have found such a kind and thoughtful sitter as Jack! He was also great about taking her for walks and even a hike to Runyon Canyon!
