“There is no better feeling than coming back from a trip to find that your dog wants to stay and play some more - though it was sad to find out i was so easily replaced! Of course he was happy to see us but then pretty much went back to playing with the other dogs and then ran back over to Margaret to visit her. This was my experience when i came to pick up Snickers and this is definitely not always the case when i have had him stay elsewhere. Also, from what i can tell he seemed to have eaten all the food we had alloted and didn't seem especially hungry once we got home. All that to say that it points to him having a great and stress-free time. He was just tuckered out from playing so much :) This was our first stay with Margaret and I found her to be very responsive and clear in all our communications. Ours was a last minute request where we needed to go out of town for long weekend to finish up our move to LA. When our return trip got delayed, she accomodated a request to delay our pickup until the next day. She really removed all the stress of boarding our little pup . One the the perks of boarding with Margaret was the cast of playful dogs you might find in her shaded backyard/play area. She seems thoughtful in assessing how the various dogs will get along and has plans in place should any dogs need to be in separate areas. Mr. Snickers hasn't had a lot of opportunity to socialize with dogs since we moved so this was a real boon for us. Last point to add is that she regularly sent us updates with pix and videos so we had a sense of how it was going each day. In short, she does her best to make a home away from home for the dogs she cares for and I'd highly recommend her.”

We had a trip to Italy planned, and I was so stressed to leave Pebbles somewhere new while being out of the country, but HILARY WAS AMAZING!! We fell in love with the way she cared for Pebbles instantly. She had no problem with her feeding times, walks, crate needs, and even eye medication. She sent us SO MANY fun and cute pictures of Pebbles while we were out of the country that I felt super reassured. She was flexible with the pick up time (we know how LAX can be), and even willing to take an additional emergency contact while we were out of country. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for anyone kinder, more loving, or more communicative. I will definitely request her again, and I am so glad Pebbles found a temporary home there. While my corgi is incredibly sweet, he can also be challenging to manage and not always easy to read in terms of his body language. However, Donghae approached Milo with remarkable patience and attentiveness and I was genuinely surprised to see Milo open up to a stranger in such a short period of time. What I especially appreciated were Donghae’s thoughtful daily updates. About: I grew up with cats and have always loved animals, but dogs have my heart these days — I have a 4-year-old dog of my own. Due to a recent life change, I only have him with me a couple of weeks a month, and I miss having a dog around way more than I expected. About: I’ve helped one of my cats recover from FHO surgery.Helped him use the litter box due to limited mobility. Administer meds on schedule, kept him comfy, clean, happy and prevented him from getting bored while being kenneled for weeks. I am experienced in following special or strict diets. I know how to thoroughly clean water fountains and litter boxes. I make sure fresh water is always available. Never met a cat that didn't like me and vise versa. About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages before, from terriers to Scotch collies. These dogs have ranged in age as well, with some being as young as 1-3 and the oldest being 15. I make sure to communicate frequently to ensure pets receive thoughtful and fun care that is also respectful of their boundaries. I’m a teacher and currently on summer break, so my time for pet care is pretty open and prioritized right now! Rover is my primary focus at the moment, so let’s chat about some care for your pet! Whenever in a new environment, I make sure to inspect all possible exits or potential areas for danger or risk for pets. About: I have been volunteering for doggy daycares since I was 11. I volunteered at the pound for about 2 years, helping with special care, walks, and pet adoption. I've also been trained in proper dog walking etiquette as well. I've done a few overnights, but my experience lyes in dog sitting and dog walking. I have worked with disabled pups and follow special care instructions very well. I'm great with multiple dogs at a time ranging in different sizes.
About: Hello! In 2017 I met my first friendly street cat which sent me on a journey from “strict dog person” to “cat lady.” I have since adopted two cats, Bean and Raisin, and fostered more than a dozen adult cats and kittens. I also work closely with an organization doing TNR in my community--trapping neighborhood cats and spay/neutering them. I have a 2nd bedroom that I use as both my office and cat zone with toys if your cat needs his/her own space but am also a friendly home for a rambunctious cat. Bean is very passive and chill, while Raisin just wants to make friends and play. I’m a trusted cat mom and foster mom and will cuddle your fur babies just like you would if you were home with them! I know how important it is to a pet parent's peace of mind while away from their animal to know how they're doing so I always make sure I send pictures and regular updates. Please note that due to my cats, I only board other cats in my home—no dogs. And I only board one client at a time. Rover doesn't give the opportunity to specify this. I can do drop ins for other animals in your home no problem! I work from home and can occasionally have period of hiatus from work with lots of free time to dedicate to doing drop ins and being there for any boarding guests. I am very strict about indoors only for cats given my history with TNR. Also because I'm an experienced trapper, if somehow your cat escapes my care, I have the skills and equipment and knowledge to get them back for you. I don't leave boarding guests alone with my cats without supervision, even when sleeping, unless enough time has passed that I can trust them all together.

“There is no better feeling than coming back from a trip to find that your dog wants to stay and play some more - though it was sad to find out i was so easily replaced! Of course he was happy to see us but then pretty much went back to playing with the other dogs and then ran back over to Margaret to visit her. This was my experience when i came to pick up Snickers and this is definitely not always the case when i have had him stay elsewhere. Also, from what i can tell he seemed to have eaten all the food we had alloted and didn't seem especially hungry once we got home. All that to say that it points to him having a great and stress-free time. He was just tuckered out from playing so much :) This was our first stay with Margaret and I found her to be very responsive and clear in all our communications. Ours was a last minute request where we needed to go out of town for long weekend to finish up our move to LA. When our return trip got delayed, she accomodated a request to delay our pickup until the next day. She really removed all the stress of boarding our little pup . One the the perks of boarding with Margaret was the cast of playful dogs you might find in her shaded backyard/play area. She seems thoughtful in assessing how the various dogs will get along and has plans in place should any dogs need to be in separate areas. Mr. Snickers hasn't had a lot of opportunity to socialize with dogs since we moved so this was a real boon for us. Last point to add is that she regularly sent us updates with pix and videos so we had a sense of how it was going each day. In short, she does her best to make a home away from home for the dogs she cares for and I'd highly recommend her.”

“I cannot recommend Donghae enough!! This was my first extended trip leaving my pup, Milo, with someone outside of my family and was very anxious about being away. While my corgi is incredibly sweet, he can also be challenging to manage and not always easy to read in terms of his body language. However, Donghae approached Milo with remarkable patience and attentiveness and I was genuinely surprised to see Milo open up to a stranger in such a short period of time. What I especially appreciated were Donghae’s thoughtful daily updates. He kept me consistently informed with detailed reports on how Milo spent his day, along with plenty of photos that gave me a peace of mind and was able to tell that he was having a good time (too much fun)… Thank you again!!!”

About: I had an English Cocker Spaniel growing up, as well as a Miniature Schnauzer that lives back in Russia with my parents, who is now 17 years old! :) I lived with a Shiba Inu for the first few months of his life and know their personality really well. I always happily take care of my friends’ dogs when they’re away. I have extensive experience with Spaniels, Miniature Schnauzers, Cavapoos, Shiba Inu, Dalmatians and others, as you may see in the photos. I work from home, 8-4 PST, Monday to Friday, and happy to keep a dog company while at it - he’ll do the same for me! I live in an apartment, no yard, I’d never leave the dog out of sight. While on a walk, the dog would always be on a leash.

About: I have always had multiple cats since I was 10 years old and have 8 years of experience volunteering for cat and dog rescues! I currently have 6 cats and a husky/malamute mix, all rescues. Most recently, I fostered 2 husky/shepherd puppies and even puppy-proofed my yard for them to have more space to run around and play. In previous years, I have had a negative experience with having friends watch my pets, so I understand how important it is to find the right pet sitter. Pets are our children and should be treated as such. I would be honored to give your baby the best possible care and lots of love and attention! I am a full time dog and cat mom that works seasonally in entertainment, so my schedule is completely open for whatever you need! My dog gets 2 walks a day with potty breaks every 4 hours, even in the middle of the night. My cats receive a mix of dry and wet food twice a day with their water changed and litter scooped daily and plenty of cuddle time. I have a large fenced yard in a safe, suburban neighborhood for your dogs to play in. My home has multiple large rooms with cat trees and cat shelves that can be kept as a private oasis for your cat or cats if they are to stay with me.
